Hi everyone, welcome to this somewhat special episode. Here, we share with you our first unforgettable Workaway experience. Life, in addition to our experience with Falkor, offers us the chance to learn from our encounters.
You will have understood by seeing our first 4 episodes, that one of the most important points of our trip is to exchange services with the people we meet on our way.
This is the story of 2 sumptuous months of Indian summer, in the heart of the Eastern Pyrenees with the Cooper family.
From an old ruined farmhouse, they created a place of peace where nature, animals and people looking for a place to recharge their batteries. A bubble of pure air, far from the city life.
We take the time to feel our connection to the earth, this link with the one that hosts us. In these mountains everything is real and alive.
Each of them had another life before this, very different.
As we read somewhere, "Sometimes our lives need to be completely turned upside down, changed and rearranged, to put us back where we are meant to be." They reinforced our view of change as a vehicle for personal fulfillment.
We participate in their daily life, by going to feed the animals every morning. A touching activity that taught us a little more about these precious roommates. We realize very varied tasks, moreover go to see the video of promotion which we made them: • LA TAILLEDE - MOUNTAIN...
It is beautiful to see the balance and the harmony which can be created between these resources and our needs. No abuse, no waste. We learn to get closer to ourselves.
In parallel of all that, we obviously took advantage of it to visit the region without all our stuff. Sensation of freedom, to leave with Falkor and to discover magnificent places. To impregnate the vermeil coast, the Eastern Pyrenees. We even went to Spain, back to the place where this whole trip started, 17 years ago.
La Taillède, we will miss you. You have filled us with hope, you have allowed us to discover new skills, new possibilities. We are back on the road, filled with deep gratitude for this exchange, which is now part of us. Lucky will be those who will be able to meet you and enjoy your place of peace. THANK YOU!
