I have a few ideas that I think would make the All Star weekend much more interesting, what do you think? 1. Make the in season tournament a college style elimination tournament that ends Friday night. This creates brackets for the fans and gives teams time to develop instead of getting eliminated by game 12 or so. This keeps the fan bases interested and it helps build up the date. The winning team also gets more time to enjoy the win, unlike this year when the "champion" lost to the Mavs two days later undermining the whole thing in my opinion. 2. Keep the same schedule for Saturday night but make the dunk contest a NBA JAM style format. 2 players from every team participate vs other teams until we have a champion. 1 dunk each, highest combined scores win. Ties are an additional dunk. If LeBron and Bronny were a squad, that would attract a lot of attention. *extras to changing the in season tournament would be eliminating the point differentials. The ugly courts in my opinion although the trophy in the paint wasn't bad. Eliminating the idea of new divisions.
Im 5'9 and this is like me dunking on a 8ft rim. Example: 6'10 from the bottom of your feet to the top of your head. Raise your arms over your head and thats 8ft 4-6 inches.Now if you got hops that is 36in verticals, then this is what We are looking at here. Even 6'4 with hops is easy. At 5'9, I can two hand and hang on the rim. Next time your homie, who is 6'6 is at a court( 10ft) ask him to stand under the rim with his arms raised. Look at his fingers and the rim. Now add hops to it. 😮
