    • @padenvan
      @padenvan Před 4 měsíci +1

      They were never rare, but they were controlled by a cartel. There is a corporation called De Beers that’s a Dutch-South African/British cartel that is responsible for most of the mining of diamonds (or purchasing from contractors) in the world at one time. They realized that since they controlled virtually all diamonds they could do 2 things: firstly craft a myth that buying a diamond ring as a marriage proposal has always been the thing to do in the West, and secondly they could control the price of diamonds by only repressing a very small amount into the market each year; enough for every man who wants one to have one, but not enough for you to be able to shop prices between stones. And it worked incredibly well. Now we are beholden to a myth that never was.

      Not all Diamonds come from conflict, that's why you buy certified, you'll know who mined it, who tested and certified it, most conflict with diamonds stemmed from greed wars, America is the first one's you could look at.

    For the one saying that diamonds áre like weed. Lab diamond can't be insured if you need to sell it or pawn it they wont give any thing because once you buy it you stock with a wortless rock. If you want to traded for a bigger stone they won't take it. Lab diamods are a scam😭

    I think people are more concerned with the resale value. Part of what makes diamonds so sought after is the ability to sell them and make a profit if need be. Lab grown diamonds are with nothing if you needed to resell.

  • @ivangovorko2127
    @ivangovorko2127 Před rokem +3

    I think it's red phosphorus light or something like that if you put it in a proper tester the diamond would glow red for lab grown for not lab-grown diamonds natural diamonds they grow blue yes they test the same but it's like the real value is where the impurities that are in the diamond because that's the only difference between a regular diamond and a lab grown diamond they get a special type of diamond that's a seed diamond like a little square sheet of glass and then they put it in some kind of type of chamber that does the exact same thing how real diamonds are made and creates pressure and heat you just don't get those other impurities in there and you get a super clear and pure diamond but the argument is later in the future it'll become more easier to make diamonds I think the real value in an actual diamond is more versus a lab grown and they are cheaper than a natural diamond but it just depends where you want to invest your money I'm not saying I wouldn't get a lap ground diamond I kind of look at it as if natural diamonds are gold and lab-grown diamonds are silver both can still be very useful especially if bargaining and trading starts coming back instead of money which might happen in the far future

      Natural diamonds are expensive only because of the diamond cartels that manipulate the market through manufactured scarcity.
      Let me put it another way, let's I'm a car maker and I band together with all other car makers in the world and we decide that from now on we will only produce 1/10 of the cars we actually could with our factories. The price of cars would sky-rocket and we'd get filthy rich by actually working less.
      That's pretty much the diamond market right now. Most diamonds that are mined are never actually sold, but sit in vaults for decades never to be seen.
      Artificial diamonds break the cartels, though. They absolutely destroy them. That's why the cartels fight so hard to fool you into thinking artificial diamonds aren't real diamonds, when in reality they are of an even higher quality.
