Good revue, brings back memories of my Canadian Tire heated socks with the D cell batteries, which worked for me. Not a good idea to wear LiPo batteries, when they go you will feel the heat..

The tool brand companies are all making these vests and jackets. Very expensive but I’d stick with them instead. (I’m team Milwaukee myself but honestly they are all the same.)

If I worked outdoors, that'd be a good option. I don't like how bulky the tool battery packs are for how much power they pack.

@@Huntinggearguy definitely not the best for long hunting trips. Those oxidation packs, (hot pocket thingies) work for about 8hrs, poorly.

They are way too expensive. I built my own DIY jacket using 50 dollars of materials + 20 for the pads, and it puts out up to 80c/180f give or take using a DC step up/down converter. Yes, that would burn the heck out of you, but I have a little dial that I use to basically set it to whatever heat I want. I use a PWM as well, but also a Raspberry PI and custom software to do calculations to a small LCD which converts V/Amps into temperature, which is accurate give or take 1-2 degrees. So I just turn the dial to whatever I want and I am done. Lose about 20% efficiency with the step up/down but it gives more control and can give a huge boost of heat very quickly. At 80c, which is ridiculous, I can get 30 minutes continuous use out of a medium sized power bank. I imagine in a survival situation in freezing cold, it could be enough to quickly heat up a mylar blanket and retain body heat for several hours with only 5 minute bursts.

@@johnnyboy13642 can you explain how you did this and with what kind of materials?

It's meant to go over a jacket so it intact is not the idea 😂😂😂😂😂😂

I think it's a bad idea to place the controller over your heart.
