Welcome to our Sri Lanka series we are spending one month exploring the beautiful country and showing people why they should visit here.
ln this episode we get out and explore Mirissa for the first time, we are amazed by its beauty and all the great stuff to do.
First we visit parrot rock- elevated lookout atop a large rock, with views of Mirissa Beach surfers & Indian Ocean sunsets.
We then we go to turtle point a lovely cove tucked away from the main part of mirissa beach where you can see turtles swim!
Next stop is coconut tree hill a much photographed instagram worthy spot with coconut palms known for its ocean views and sunsets.
We later find a great local cheap street food place which is perfect for us and had the most amazing food experience!

We are Reanne and Ben living in Portsmouth, England. We have been together from the age of 15.
We brought our first house together at 23, got married at 25 and Reanne started her own business at 27.
We have been wanting to travel the world for the last couple of year but covid p

It's amazing to think some people must agree and hand over their passport, else she wouldn't be in the habit of asking.
I know there’s no way what they gonna do if you break the scooter keeep your passport? Be breaking there door down 😂 totally ridiculous
In thailand also común práctice . ..i agree never give passport unless in Vietnam in a hotel and have no choice
@@OTWD_yt that’s exactly what they’ll do if you damage the scooter and don’t pay , they’ll keep it until you do. As said , a lot of places do the same thing in Thailand, especially the popular islands. There’s also a good chance your travel insurance won’t cover you if you have an accident and big hospital bills.

Once again Guys great video , We had a Sri Lankan family staying in the holiday cottage next door to our home this week and they were the most wonderful polite family we've known staying there , we took them walking with our dogs and at the end of the day they made us a lovely Sri Lankan . my husband totally loved it because it wasn't as spicy as the curry I do myself .

Hello my lovely friends, So glad to see you in Mirissa Sri Lanka. Mirissa is in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka situated near sea. Many tourists are coming to Mirissa. You can travel from Mirissa straight to Bentota, Hikkaduwa and Galle. You can watch the Galle Fort in the city which was built by the British when they ruled our country. You also can watch the coral reefs and turtles in the sea of Hikkaduwa and also in Mirissa. I hope you love the street foods my friends. Sri Lankans are mostly eating rice for their lunch and you can select the foods what you like my friehds. Lastly that food you showed me a white colored food like pizza which is made by flour and we call it rotti. That is nice to eat and if you ate with a gravy that will be tastier. Just fill in a form with your details and pay for a visa pretty easy. Having said that obviously we never done it that way but look simple enough

This was august. It was pretty good a little cloudy at times but it didn’t rain

It was hotter up north but the beaches are more beautiful in the south when are you going we have another Sri Lanka series coming really soon so stay tuned 😊❤️

I would never give my passport to anyone as a hold or part of a deposit. Heck no! I might consider giving a xerox copy but not the physical passport. That’s wicked sketchy!

Try Egg Hoppers, Egg Roti, Coconut Roti with spicy gravy (we call Lunu Miri ) and drink Ginger Tea.. try Sri lanakan Rice and Curry. Sri Lankan Mango curry, Sri lankan Chicken Curry, Egg Plant Curry, Sri Lnakan Fish curry (we call Abul Thiyal) or any other Fish curries, Pumpkin Curry. there is other currys also. if you Eat like " Kottu, Vegirabal Roti" Drink EGB ( elephant ginger beer) . not normal ginger beer and not a Beer too . ask elephant ginger beer. its famous with Food. try to stop small shops. u can find. Good Luck. and Thanks for come our country., i hope u will get more subscribers

Absolutely stupid idea to ask for the passport as a deposit to get something. I guess Srilankan people need to be more friendly and accomodating for the tourists. ( I was a SriLankan now an Australian. I travel around the globe and My rule number one for travelling ... Never give the passport to any one ) . People back in Sri Lanka who are involved in the tourism business needs to be educated on the risks involved for a tourist in handing over the passport to some one..
That’s absolutely our number one rule. A scooter is not worth it. I can’t believe they would even think of keeping some ones passport was there to be anything to happen to the scooter. 😂 no way
