Although he wasn't used I think Merged Goku's design was honestly a really nice blend between Prime and Evil's designs and would've definitely been one of the many testaments to how far the two of them have come in their relationship to one another, the positive and the negative coming together like yin and yang
I would think 2 goku's fusing would be permanent since despite universal differences it's the same soul. But it's too broken so plot shortens it instantly nearly

I would've called this fusion "Zero Point Goku" Because the two Goku's can make zero point energy together like I said while back in discord server. There also could've been chance where fusion just cancels out as well.
1:26 The alternate intro would’ve also been hilarious to see. The female freaking out of the popcorn flying. Tiny Goku tripping causing popcorn to fly. And the other one that’s in shock at the popcorn coming at him.

That's good you changed the Corrupted SSJ4 Goku Black's fur color to dark purple instead of pink because the pink color on that Corrupted SSJ4 form which makes him look almost like the Pink Panther cartoon tv show lol.

I have read a lot of comments about Xeno Goku being too OP and can defeat everyone and even Goku Black and Savage Goku on his own, but that doesn't make sense to me. I don't watch DB Heroes so... Is that Xeno Goku really THAT strong? Stronger than SSJ5 Savage Goku and Corrupted SSJ4 Goku Black?

Honestly, it has been interesting because of these what ifs of a What if 😂 but I think you made the best decisions you could have made. I liked the final way GVZ turned out much more.

Red the concept sprites, that you and lord z made looked absolutely superb and it makes tons of sense for some to not be shown, such as the other forms for Gokumi, but it would have been pretty cool to see the other versions of Goku the Hedgehog, and as always Savage Goku is the shao Kahn of all Goku’s with presumably in other people’s eyes a tad bit of akuma and Kratos in their. Also if you ever decide to do something in the future future regarding the rest of your Goku’s, if you ever decide to use savage I feel like it would it be him reminiscing about the first Goku Versus Event, as Well as the Goku Versus Z Event with him being shown doing what he does best with no backstory as always ( my apologies by the way but this is more along the lines of speculation on my part)

I mentioned this on a Prior stream and I'll leave it here so i can elaborate deeper.
The God forms had so much potential for those that have watched naruto if it was required to meditate For a certain amount of time in order to achieve the form I feel it would have been good. Also have the form have a time limit just like the original super saiyan god. This would also break the stereotype of dragon ball being nothing but screaming power ups
In isolation before dragon ball super I do like super saiyan god But we saw what happened. Something else I would also tie into godly ki Would be the concept of a divine fighting style that accompanies this new level of power. It's core principles would be focused on Minimalist movements similar to wing chun with pressure point based offense that could block off ki flow(hyuga clan in naruto). In universe we saw this from style somewhat from Whis so I think it would fit. This would also bring back core original martial arts roots, instead of spam punches, scream, blast, repeat.
Major point I would discuss Would be The recolors. golden frieza makes since symbolically. In short I would base godly form's colors off of the chakra points from which ki flows in the body. For instance the third eye chakra is perceived as a violet/purple color and is associated with intuitive thought and awareness. The mantra one would chant while meditating would be "om". Channeling this chakra would give the user to see a few seconds into the future/360 vision even when the eyes are closed(or would be normally invisible) for instance.
During all this actually give us a WHOLE ARC to explain and BUILD UP these Divine forms. If your gonna rehash, at least give us androids/cell mastering SSJ type of training arc. I'd eat that shit up along with MORE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT rather than meaningless antagonists that offer nothing of value in the long term. Fuck resurrection F. Give a WHOLE ARC of training to learn god ki with just goku, vegeta, whis, and beerus. No villains. I'd love 20-30 episodes of training and godly ki world building like this.
Each chakra point would be associated with a divine ability symbolic of that chakra(green and healing ability for heart chakra for instance). And regardless of base/transformed, hair and aura would reflect that chakra. At least it makes recolors logical. I would also make godly ki effect the users personality as a result of reaching certain levels while tapping into these "ki types". Similar to SSJ4 making you more savage and beastly. Maybe have Each god be a master at channeling and using the abilities of 1 specific godly chakra type?
But no we just get shiny new paint to sell toys. and jiren and others who APPEAR TO NOT EVEN HAVE "god" ki simply overpower these forms devaluing them. DB isn't Shakespeare complex, but god damn at least put thought into a potentially revolutionary concept in dragon ball's world building.
No I'm just a "hater" of the first anime I watched at 4 years old on VHS because I refuse to eat up shit garbage from a series I will love forever. This is what a real lover of a series does, they're honest and always strive to see better. But no, some 8-9 year old kid who's never seen OG DB OR GT surely knows better than people like me or Jason Henry theredheadhenry who KNOW this franchise. Super Is a disgrace. A empty mindless husk of a once respectable entity like corrupted SSJ4 Black was. Savage represents the true soul and dragon ball, and I'm glad he ripped the dead horses arm off of DBS. If you're a dragon ball fan, ask for better, this franchise and more importantly, us as fans deserve better, seriously. This sprite animation contains better character and story telling than the entirety of modern dragon ball ever has. All condensed into a 2 hour movie. Something 130ish super episodes and 4 films couldn't muster. The Fandom doesn't deserve someone as dedicated as you Jason ❤❤❤❤❤

That evil goku base with a tail should've been used to show he wasn't UI when dodging to avoid the assumption. Basically evil goku's version of wrathful like DBS broly. Would've done that or just give him his red ssj eyes in base. Amazing stuff regardless
I like to think the Xeno Goku scene is still canon, if anything Old Kai and SKoT both foaming at the mouth wondering what the *fuck* was going on
Love the fact the fusion of the Goku’s was at least considered. Honestly it makes Evil Goku (Super)’s “Insurance Policy” line make waaaaaay more sense than simply SSGSS. Honestly think it still could’ve worked if Savage wasn’t a thing, and honestly you could even make the argument it still could’ve worked, then fail, have Corrupted GB go “aw screw this” and make his clones, *then* bring in Savage, but pacing wise I understand why that would be cut, fight would’ve just dragged on a bit to long, though I do think it would’ve made thematic sense of the Goku’s fully putting aside their differences (even if Evil didn’t know what was going on)

It was originally meant as the earrings, but the fact he transforms into SSGSS after saying that line, can be interpreted as SSGSS.

The idea of prime goku becoming xeno, is actually good, if you plan on making anhother vs like this, use that concept, and make cc goku his partner

Xeno Goku could fart at base, and Corrupted SS4 Goku Black would explode with the force of 1000 suns. That's how strong Xeno Goku is. He was way overpowered for GVZ, could not feature him.

Not gonna lie, can't believe we didn't get to see Goku Black throwing hands with Goku Black.
Black would have killed that chibi version effortlessly. He's moved past the ZMP. We already saw it in the previous animation when he trapped Zamasu and betrayed him. In my mind, it didn't make sense to show that again, so it was ultimately scrapped.
Understandable that Xeno Goku and CC Goku didn't make the cut. If they were involved the situation with Black as well as Echo-G would've likely have felt a lot less threatening considering the many opponents they have faced in Heroes.

I thinks some of this parts I would've liked to see in the final product, such as Xeno Goku, or DBS Goku being a main character along with Mecha, Gokumi and Gokunic. But I think the official cut is perfect.
By the way, in the scene where Goku and Evil Goku use Kaioken at the same time (7:59), well, can you tell me the name of the background song? I tried to use Musixmatch to identify it, but it didn't work, and I don't know which one it is on the movie credits. That's all I'm asking.

Hey, Red. I have a question about Time Nest and Conton City from Xenoverse/DB Heroes series. Does the Time Nest and Conton City exist outside the Multiverse in your Goku Versus series? Or it only exists in the "Original/Main" DBZ/Super of Universe 7 including the timelines of Future Trunks and DBGT, and not in all Multiverses?
What cover of that LOG ost was used during the alt prologue? Can't find that specific one.
Honestly I'm glad none of those scenes became canon to the final product especially the alt. Prologue since imo takes away the feeling(? I can'tfind the right word for it) of the finale with E.G. sacrificing himself

I think a good name for the fusion would be "Goku", using the "Go" from Goku and the "Ku" from evil Goku.
If the Gokus were gonna fuse I'd have expected the fusion dance, so the potara woulda been a good twist. In my head the dance fusion woulda been called "Gogoku" lol
And Black teaming up with another Black would have been neat, but either be a weird stop, or clutter the narrative. Unless this was suddenly gonna turn into a crossover with Hyourinjutsu's Goku Black lol

Thantacly even if the fusion work when they become ssj4 they will unfused faster because thats alot of power for the fusion to handle so in other words stronger tranformation the potara fusion 1 hour time limit will ran out faster than 1 hour but if they do the fusion dance they can do any form that they want and the time limit will always be in 30 minutes and for people doesnt know or didnt watch the dbs broly movie they change the fusion dance time limit for 5 minute to 30 minutes
what happens when you have people voice act elder kai (Universe 7 xeno) and chronoa like do those people still get paid or not? because those characters didn't make the final cut

I share the top 1 and 2 between 6 Goku, three in each one since the original Goku, EVIL and prime are the best. Then I love the evil of this black, the hedgehog Goku is very funny and is a original idea and gokumi I love the character, she is calmer and really learns to be a ssj in her time in the Saiyan saga.
