- Stripping & Prepping the cycle parts ready for paint. Filling the dented fuel tank and mudguards and adding some detail holes with the swager. Also, trying out a product from Rustypaint.com on an old guitar kit to see if it will work out for the project.

Excellent Glyn. Man after my own heart but wouldn’t have the nerve to take on your projects. That guitar looks ready to play some wicked rock or twelve bar blues…..❤
Thanks a lot, I forgot to give it a try out! Maybe next time👍
Easiest way I know to get the tank pads off is with a heat gun and fishing line. The glue can be tidied up with WD40. Paraffin, white spirit and isopropyl alcohol can also help. Love that guitar finish !
That's a great tip, thanks. I still have to get some WD40 in!
Love that guitar the rust look is brilliant. The way you pick up and handle it you can tell it’s not a Les Paul as it looks light to handle. You’ll know yourself that a Les Paul is heavy as heck 🎸.
That rust effect will look amazing on the bike. Great work Glyn 👍
Thanks very much, I'm going to hang it up on the wall, might have to get something else up there to balance it out, I must have something else laying around!
Magnificent weird bonus content, speed filing is my favourite👍 Bike is gonna look tress magnifique and as Del Boy would say "mange tout Rodney/Glyn mange tout"🤭
Thanks Paul 👍 It'll be a rust time lapse next week, watching things go rusty. You really will be watching paint dry!
The gee tar came out very well. Your thoughts towards the detail you strive for, are 2nd to none Glyn. Fantastic watch, await as it comes together ❤it. 😊
Thanks Mark, lots of detail on yours too 👍
Wow Glyn, your videos are such addictive viewing! Love the look of the guitar, cant wait to see how the rusting finish looks on the bike! Thanks for an hour of marvellous entertainment 😃👍
Thanks 👍 Hopefully will be finding out in the next couple of days so look out 🥹 Better than watching paint dry I hope!
@@GlynOC look forward to it Glyn 👍🏻 watching paint rust might be apt in this scenario! 😂😂 love the videos 👍🏻
Yet another of your video's I've enjoyed Glyn, they do say all Geniuses are touched by madness😎
ahh thanks, that's great. Don't worry, I think that horse has well and truly sailed 🤪
Brilliant idea and I just know the execution will be superb.
Hope so! Paint is on now and ready to activate so you'll see soon
Nice idea Glyn. I did the same to a suzuki vs800. Chrome engine and other bits with rusty tank, panels, and mud guards. The only difference I did was to sand back to bare metal, then sprayed it with salt water. Left it for two day's then rinsed with fresh water. Then coated with a matt wax. Job done. Was happy with result.
Thanks Phil 👍 I was interested in a bare metal attack with some shiny metal showing but had to put filler in so many bits I couldn't do it (didn't want dents ironically, which is silly considering the finish!)
The build is coming on great Glyn 😁👍
Looking forward to seeing the patina finish on the bike going by how good the guitar looks! 😜👍
Thanks Bruce, it won't be as genuine as your Warhorse though with all its genuine wear and use, that's the real deal👍
I have used the Rusty paint products and they are really good. It's going to look great...honestly
Well it's going to be unique at least, the product is absolutely hard as nails, you can't even mark it with sandpaper once it's cured. Bloody bike will be bulletproof!
I like that can’t wait to see the finish 👍
Me too, thanks for watching
🎸 gorgeous!!!😊
Thanks Julian🫶
Can not wait to see this paint and totally agree that the contrasts between the rust and polish parts will look stunning. Will you do the chain guard in the rust?
Hi Brian, I completely forgot the chainguard, I'll have to have a think about that. I've seen hitchcocks have a metal version but I'm not a fan of it, maybe I'll just drill some holes in it🤪
Excellent work very well executed as usual.
Thanks David, I'm certain it will convince you to do the same 🤪
@GlynOC I think I may have worked on too many customers rusty cars in my time. 🤣😆😁 I like sparkly, shiny and smooth✨️ ☺️ .
But I am open and willing to be converted. Probably not on my bike 😉 😆 .
haha I bet, I have a pile of tanks now at least
I’m glad to see you remember my lesson on torsional rigidity!
Of course Steven! The thing is full of metal and whatnot underneath
I can't wait to see the result, Glyn. I haven't got Your kind of madness, but I really appreciate Your amazing skills at work !
Thank you very much!
I thought they'd sent you anti slip paint at first!🙂🙃
I'm sure it has that property too!
🎸Cool! Looking forward to seeing the finished bike, but hope it won't be a long wait for the start of your next project! A very enjoyable, educational and relaxing channel.
Thanks Andy, not long now. There'll be a new bike for the winter time I think👍
I think it's going to look amazing with that rusty finish. I'm a big fan of Rat Rods, so I'm on board with this. I bet that LP looks better than it plays now 🤣
The holes in the mudguards appears to be your signature look Glyn. Is this a theme we're going to see across all of your builds? Is the radical thing you have in mind for the next one just a big hole with a few bits of metal around it? 🤣
I'm hoping so, I think there's going to be a fine line between "Wow, how interesting" and "WTF happened to that??" 🤪 Maybe even a little of both! The LP is a bit of a cheese grater but seems to work ok, good for slide anyway. I think the holes will be here to stay and am planning some radical new holes for next time 😊 Holes where there have never been holes before!
interesting look
We shall have to see how it works out, positively I hope🙏
Good to see you back and producing another video. Just do it at your own pace, we all know that "life happens". Great to see more progress.
Thanks, coming along fast now and still enjoying it so that's good enough for me 👍
Let your guitar gently wheep. Absutely beautifull. I am very sure the rusty paint will look marvellous on the classic like it does on the les paul. Whowwwww
I'm glad you like it, thank you. We'll find out very soon anyway, I'm looking forward to the rough and the smooth🙏
I think you should do a trumpet next!
I'm sure that's part of a really rude joke haha
