    After watching this video, that nut was the first thing I checked. Mine was about to completely fall off the bolt. Thank you so much! The nut is a 24MM by the way.

    I thank you from the depths of my wallet. Not long ago we had to have the transmission replaced in this washer. We washed a load and the next load would fault UE. Couldn't run another load. Lots of research, greased rods, no good. Watched your video and in a matter of maybe 3 minutes it was tipped up, tightened (24mm or 15/16 both fit the same.) put back in it's spot and the next cycle performed flawlessly. Your video saved me lots of money just wished I found it sooner. Thumbs up given! Thanks again.

    Mannn, I was getting an LE ERROR CODE on my top load kenmore elite. After watching this video, I was hoping this was the fix. Opened it up, tip it over. And BAM, it was a loose nut. Just screwed it back on tight. And works like new!! Thanks for posting this!

    THIS WAS EXACTLY OUR PROBLEM AS WELL! I highly suggest checking the pinion nut before attempting any other fixes. In our case the nut had contacted the floor and spun completely off. This probably happened months ago and the washer seemed to work fine, except for the UE error code. Now that the nut is back on and tight the washer is like new again.

    Very nice. I also tried replacing the suspension rods and springs and wedging foam around the drum. Neither worked. I planned on checking the bottom. I definitely will now! I'll come back to update

      @Joseph Martin it didn't work. Neither did installing new ones. It's pretty unanimous that washer is complete garbage so I ended up buying a new one.

    Your video helped out A LOT. Thanks. Looked at all possibilities including your solution. The bottom nut was not my problem though, but it got me thinking. The bottom nut was good and tight. And looking at that it stands to reason that if that can spin off then the top nut, just under the tub, could also come loose also. Mine did. Thanks for the heads up

    I have a top loading kenmore washer that showing a PE code and the washer was bought in 2017 and I need to know what the PE code is and how to fix it

    • @youcanfixthat8636
      @youcanfixthat8636  Před 2 lety

      The PE error code indicates that the water level sensor is malfunctional. To fix this: Unplug the washer for 10 seconds. Plug the washer back in, and restart the cycle again.

    @juliajacobs8617 Před 4 lety +2

    Here's the problem: Also affects Kenmore Elite 29002 models which are made by LG.
    1. There's a recall. Here's the gov website link: www.cpsc.gov/Recalls/2012/lg-recalls-top-loading-washing-machines-due-to-risk-of-injury The recall is bc the Washer Washplate* (Kenmore Part AGZ72909701) comes off while spinning! LG/Kenmore will REPAIR FOR FREE!
    2. When the washer washplate comes off, it strips the splines that are inside the washer washplate mounting hole, that the bolt screws through to tighten down the washplate to the inner tub. If the wash plate isn't tightened down, it moves and causes 'unbalanced load' errors.
    The frequent 'unbalanced load' error and subsequent shut down is made worse bc the washer has a system designed to rebalance loads on its own. What it does is it adds a little water, then tries to spin again. If it doesn't work, it tries a few more times before it shuts down and give you a UL- unbalanced load code in the digital display. Each time the clothes get wetter and heavier, making the rebalance impossible and then you're having to babysit the washer as it quits 3 times or so per load.
    Call LG/Sears. Demand a new washer wash plate, even if it's not part of the recall be the recall defect causes the spines to strip. Hope this helps.
    *Explanation of what a washer washplate is: If you look inside the inner tub (where you load your clothes, which sits inside the outer tub) attached to the bottom of the inner tub is a disc that kind of looks like a hub cap/UFO with the 'hub' extending up a bit. That hub is just a snap on cap and underneath is a bolt that goes into the drive shaft to hold the washer plate on. Here's another YT vid where you can see what I'm describing: czcams.com/video/4j7J4euNCWI/video.html

      When I called the number listed on the recall the lady told me that it was not on the recall list even though the model number and serial number of my washer is listed on this website. I have a Kenmore Elite 29272 model. She then tried to book me for a service appointment.

      A and E Factory Services is the company that does the recall work. It makes no sense that no one on their end can help set this up. I suspect it's intentional but I won't put on my tinfoil hat.
