Halal is what you prescribe to (meaning optional). Governed by schools of Thought. Meaning it is not in the Quran. What is not permitted is in the Quran. Permissible under guidence. Permitted is what is written in the Quran. Meaning a yes or no. You subscribe to the schools of Thought. Hence it is optional. What is haram is under the schools of thought. Hence it is not a fundamental Islamic wrong. But claiming what is not permitted by the Quran and calling it halal is manipulation of Allah's voice. And what is written in the Quran is what is permitted/ not permitted.

Zia Bhai: the fest was fantastic. I loved the Dungan peoples stall along with the beef ribs and of course the beef brisket! Super weekend for the BBQ lovers & their families. Looks like a very well organized event. We have so many BBQ fests in the USA but not halal. Come to Miami!

These major supermarkets make over £200 million just in Ramadhan and it's growing Alhamdolillah. The UK Halal scene is on another level and the Muslims dominate the Fast food scene here.
