This Kenyan young Man deserves a credit b'se it's not easy to find a young Man like him whose interested in his country history. I salute you my African Brother, Love from Uganda✌
Thanks for watching and appreciating
Woow Mombasa is real beautiful more than Nairobi. This city is clean though it's very busy. I'm from SA I wish to visit Mombasa and Nairobi, their townships in particular. Believe in Kenyans ❤❤❤
Kenya is so developed bannange
Indeed
Beautiful city. I like the way the street is blocked buildings .It has historical monuments. Very inviting. I am planning to visit this city in January. Love from Great Britain!
I want to travel to Mombasa .. I dont know anyone. Im from America. Great video
The beauty about Mombasa is that her roads were designed dual carriageway... traffic flow creates no jams!! unlike Nairobi.
😂
Mombasa is beautiful in its own way. I would absolutely not want to see Nairobi-like highrise buildings in Mombasa because that would take away what the city is all about. It is an old city that developed way before all this modernity that is in Nairobi and it preserves very important history as it is. And btw, you'll realize that you need sunglasses and a cap while in Mombasa.
Well said bro, Thanks for the
I totally agree with you. Mombasa should maintain its vibe and Nairobi maintain its own vibe. There is beauty in the uniqueness of both places.
This was a very nice first impression, well knowledge tour guide
Samuel is a great guide. He knows his history.
Coastal areas in tanzania(zanzibar) and kenya maintain old buildings for purposes of keeping the culture

Make sure you go to Old Town Mombasa. Then later maybe you can go to Diani Beach & English Point Marina.
Thanks for the suggestions
There are a lot of tuk tuks in Mombasa because most residents in Mombasa don't like to walk mostly because of weather it can really get hot 🔥 here and tuk tuks are mobile/flexible.They can can deliver you even in your home not like matatus that drop you at stage.
Nice to hear that bro, Thanks for always watching my videos
@@ugconnectyou're welcome bro 🙏

I disagree, how can you call yourself a guide/ historian when you say Kenya gained independence in 1964? 😂
Wow Mombasa looks so great. Ug man I dont understand how but your Kiswahili is improving so fast
Hahaha thanks a lot, I'm trying
The tour guide is so informed though there are instances he lacked a proper answer but i liked him....Lawrence get a cap and a sunglass plus some pair of shortd if not the weather will do you bad thing😅😅...i laughed with my husband when you said how comes you got yourself into an island ,just how😂,while in Mombasa please give us a tour of Lamu, its the oldest town in Kenya..their culture is so amazing and their way of life. .....and please we wsnt you to showcast Kisumu ,we call it 'europe' its not soo far from Busia Boda

Thanks for the info
Good work for today, please do the buying cars including the whole proctoring from which country they got the cars until they sale them i Kenya
Don't forget to visit floating bridge in Mombasa
Alright
Mosf of the people in Mombasa are actually Christian. Contra to what people assume. Muslims are not the majority there but there is a presence of them there. Arabic is common to Islam, but that does not make it a common language in Coastal Kenya. Even, Kiswahili is a Bantu language with a SMALL influence from Arabic, German, Portuguese, Persian and English because of trade. Let's not be carried away by false narratives spread over the years. Coastal Kenya is dominated by Kenyan Coastal Bantus who are the original inhabitors of the Coastline. Other people/groups only arrived through trade and settled but never outnumbered the locals.
Wooow! Thanks for the info
I'd say it's 60-40 in favor of Muslims. The electoral representation is normally a reflection of the religious dynamics of a place. Almost all MPs and MCAs in Mombasa are Muslims, so are the governor, senator and women rep. Malindi county is where we have a Christian majority.
I beg to differ with all due respect, I have read many of your responses in many clips, u strongly defend Kenya, quick to dismiss rumours and hearsays, very patriotic. I applaud u bro. On Islam, Mombasa is predominantly Muslim, I have lived here and done demographic research., it is indeed a Muslim city and the entire coastal strip. Christianity ndio imeanza kushika, and the wave is moving strong with watu bara migrating in droves to coast, unfortunately through funny churches in Mishomoroni, along Bamburi Kisauni, etc, the "nakurudishia nyota yako or kuinua madhabao doctrine" type, so unfortunate.., I know Mombasa inside out, to the core hadi kwa shrines and MRC (Mombasa republican council) even the current leader is my buddy from mreroni...,
@@sheqel10 Thanks. Census 2019: Kenya had a Muslim population of roughly 5.6 million people, according to the last country census conducted in 2019. Nearly 50 percent of individuals adhering to Islam lived in the Northern-East counties of Mandera (856.5 thousand people), Garissa (815.8 thousand people), and Wajir (767.3 thousand people). Overall, around 10 percent of Kenya's population identified as Muslim. For Mombasa County 450.7 thousand people are Muslim. Comparisons show that in Mombasa, Christians and Muslims (59% and 41%, respectively). According to the 2019 census, there are significantly more Christians (2.4 million) than Muslims (1.6 million) in the six counties of the coast. The government estimates as of 2019 approximately 85.5 percent of the total population in Kenya is Christian and 11 percent Muslim. The thing with Mombasa and the Coastal towns, there are pockets of heavy concentration of Muslims e.g if you go to Old Town all you will see is Muslims, but that is not representative of entire Mombasa County. Muslims in Kenya generally are a small population.
@@sheqel10You are very correct my brother, Mombasa is a Muslim dominant.
I dont usually get the Mombasa vibe, i only love the beach, but its a beautiful town
Our Goods and vehicles pass through Mombasa
That's true
Then later you can explore more of the Kenyan coast. Towns like Malindi and Lamu. In Old Town Lamu, the streets are so small that only people & donkeys can pass.
Thank you for your feedback
He means threre are no bicycles and bodaboda in Lamu🤭🤭🤭🤭
For business its Nairobi for fun visit Mombasa and the coast .Mombasa is beautiful ❤️ tho
That's right
Enjoying my country but I want to visit Uganda
I drove by on the way to Diani two weeks ago, I will spend a few nights next time.
Nice
It’s a very hot city most of the year
The giant tree in the middle of the park is a baobab. In Kiswahili it is called M'buyu. Bats are called Popo.
Thanks for the info
I remember taking photos of the tasks in early 1960’s when it was only one traffic lane.
The Tusks were chosen because in the old days ivory was a key component of trade. Tusks were shipped to china ,the Arab world and to Europe. Jewellery, furniture and many more things made out of ivory were very expensive luxuries.
Woow!! thanks for the feedback
@@ugconnect welcome

Good job @Ug Connect road map to 100k subscribers🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪🇰🇪
Let's go......
Bro are you shooting on a GoPro? The picture quality is nice my brother.
And when are you coming to Nakuru city? The green city in the valley.
I like the laughter. It's easier to maintain artificial grass than natural one. You don't have to worry much about people stepping on it unlike the natural one.
Any video of the famous Mombasa floating bridge
Unfortunately no
Blue and White City
Brother please don't forget to go through dongo kundu paypass
Noted
Mombasa was also Kenya's first capital city.
Nice, Thanks for the info
Machakos
@Rickman Machakos was second, then Nairobi.
Masaku
Easy to enter Mombasa, lakini kutoka ni ngumu, mume nifamu.........! Sawa

Kilindini harbour is port of Mombasa.

Maybe you can go back to UG by bus so that you can show us Kisumu. Its near UG border and its similar to Kigali(clean).👍💪

Very nice idea...

Tukutukus are many
Mombosa old city in kenya lakini nashanga sana eti ni second city in kenya inastahili ewe farst city in kenya historia ingine inadanganya juu port imsave sana
Thank you for watching
👍🏻🇮🇳👍🏻
Did you notice that monument is same to the one in Nairobi
Not really
Maybe artificial grass is because coast is so hot, you'd need to water the grass several times a day.
Could be the reason
Grass is labour intensive to maintain and conserve.
That's true , maintenance will be costly
19:31 You saying its hot while upper shirt button is still buttoned.. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
😂😂😂
