I regularly hunt for snakes in Bijilo Forest Park.... in 2018 I found one very small Puff Adder near the beach side of forest sunning itself next to a path. A few days later at night I saw a huge Black Necked Cobra in the centre of the park. I don't harm the snakes only take pictures at a safe distance. Tourists should stick to the paths to avoid stepping on one. Pity the locals kill snakes on sight. They have as much right to live here as the locals. These days I hunt mainly at night at Tanji Bird Reserve and Salagi Forest in Jabang both which have a healthy population of snakes (harmless mostly but a few bad boys too). Ask a local where the snakes are and they tell you they are miles away in the bush.... the truth is they can be found almost everywhere. You wont see them unless you know where to look. Occasionally houses next to Abuko Reserve get Black Cobras / Forest Cobras near houses. Sometimes you can find Puff Adders coiled up waiting for passing prey on the fringes of Abuko. Pity so many get the chop including many harmless snakes like the Common Green Tree Snake which is confused with Green Mamba (a now very rare snake in TG). I try to encourage locals to familiarise themselves with the dangerous snakes and leave the harmless ones in peace.

@@NiceGambia I love your film uploads. The snakes are literally everywhere if you know where to look. I always try get locals to vist the snake farm in Gunjur. Its well worth a visit to aquant yourself on the dangerous ones - mainly Puff Adder and Black Necked Cobra both of which are very common. Salagi Forest in Jabang my favourite hunting ground. I think I saw a Boomslang there last year too. I just take photos and allow them on their way afterwards
