Perfectly in line with the PEUGEOT brand's move upmarket, this new generation of PEUGEOT 208s asserts itself through its sharp design, breathing youth and energy. Innovative in its distinctive style, the new PEUGEOT 208 also innovates with a new generation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit© with 3D head-up display.
Inspired by the PEUGEOT FRACTAL concept car, presented in Frankfurt in September 2015, the new PEUGEOT 208 features a new and unprecedented generation of the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, an inseparable part of the PEUGEOT brand DNA with more than 5 million drivers conquered.
Every year, the International Automobile Festival's Grand Prix awards are given to the most outstanding achievements in the automotive field. The architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte presides over a jury of experts from the world of automobiles, fashion, culture, design and media.
New PEUGEOT e-208: e-motion
New PEUGEOT e-208 offers a lively, stimulating driving experience with its 100% electric engine, available from
launch:
100 KW (136 bhp) electric engine developing 260 Nm of torque (available from 0 km/h) for instant
reactivity,
silent engine, zero vibration,
technology display on central screen (real-time drive train functional display).
New PEUGEOT e-208 proposes three drive modes:
1. Eco: to optimise range,
2. Normal: optimum comfort for everyday use,
3. Sport: priority is given to performance and sensations, maximum power and torque (0 to 100 km/h in 8.1s).
Two braking modes are also available via the gear lever with appropriate battery regeneration:
Moderate, providing a sensation close to that felt when braking with a combustion engine,
Augmented, for controlled deceleration by means of the accelerator pedal.
New PEUGEOT e-208 offers the best thermal comfort on the market with:
a high-power heater element (5 kW) powered by the HV battery,
a heat pump and automatic temperature control in the passenger compartment, providing the same
comfort standard as in a vehicle powered by a combustion engine. Vehicle range is preserved due to improved
power efficiency compared to conventional climate control,
heated seats (according to version),
programmable thermal pre-conditioning, controlled from touch screen or remotely by the MyPeugeot® smartphone application. Besides comfort, this function allows vehicle range optimisation (the set temperature is reached more rapidly during start phases) and enables the optimum battery functional temperature to be attained sooner. Interior and boot-space are identical to the ICE version. The batteries, which take up a volume of 220L, are distributed under the floor pan in new PEUGEOT 208. Hallmark of the PEUGEOT brand, new PEUGEOT e-208’s running gear has been optimised and specific technical solutions have been applied (optimum mass distribution). This enables new PEUGEOT e-208 to achieve dynamic performances on a par with the combustion engine version.
New PEUGEOT e-208 is fitted with a 50 kWh large-capacity battery enabling a vehicle range of up to 340 km, according to the WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedures) certification protocol and 450 km according to NEDC (New European Driving Cycle). Linked to the passenger compartment cooling system, fluidcooled temperature control enables fast recharging, optimised range and increased life-span. This battery is guaranteed for 8 years or 160 000 km for 70% of its charge capacity.
Charging modes are flexible and adapted to everyday use. Three charge modes are possible:
using a conventional domestic socket or for a full charge in 16 hours, using a heavy-duty Legrand® Green Up™ socket, supplied complete with charging cable,
from a Wall Box, providing a full charge in 5 hours for the three-phase version (11 kW) or in 7 hours 30 minutes hours for mono-phase (7.4 kW),
using a dedicated public charging terminal: battery thermal regulation permits the use of 100 kW chargers, 80% of the charge being reached in 30 minutes.
New PEUGEOT e-208 can also be remotely charged if programmed via the Connected Navigation screen or using the MyPeugeot® smartphone application. This system also enables you to start or stop charging at any time and allows you to check the charge status.

@@aye3678 A difficult decision. If it was me I would go silver. Black is hard to keep looking clean and white cars are everywhere nowadays. Good luck with whatever colour you choose.

Thanks, I will try to do it. Start stop in the electric cars is like integrated bacuse it is not an engine to stop, always electric motors are kind of in stand by when you stay at stoplight. 👍👍
Sorry I mentioned it wrong. After checking it online it’s called Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go. Basically, the car would do ACC and also automatically stop at the distance set when it gets to the traffic and moves off automatically (if conditions allow) when the traffic in front moves again. Thanks again for the reply.

You mentioned you have 272km range left. My e-208 only displays the range in 10's and it is really not accurate. (e.g. first i have 200km and after a few minutes, it goes doen to 150km, and then goes back to 210km). Is this only my car? Maybe there is an update the dealer has to perform?
Hi Andre, depend how the car calculate the range, for exemple when you turn on AC will be less and when you turn it off will be more. Depend on the driving style.....if not you can ask the dealer.....

Depend on the driving style ..how many km car have...usually should last around 10 to 15 years ...if you are lucky more 👍

Giannis you mean 208 GT Line normal sau 208 Electric GT ? Iam not sure to be honest ...it is very complicated and differ from country to country sometimes. To be honest the white on the car look very good ....maybe it is pearlwhite and I dont remember ...i will have to check again ....
Ok now I know ....you have 7 color to choice from to e208. This color in the video is "white banquise" So I guess is normal white 350 $ color price. I like it very much the way it is.

Salut , intre un 208 și un zoe ce ai alege , eu am testat zoe 52kw 135 hp si mi s-a părut foarte rapida și comfortabila
Daniel ambele masini sunt destul de bune mai ales noul Zoe, foarte greu de ales ...probably 208 pentru design ,cockpit, scaune si pozitia mai joasa ....nu stiu depinde....dute si testeazale pe ambele vezi care iti place tie

Visibility don’t seems so great. Front pillars are huge. Also lane assist is not that great. I hope that in e208 they improve it, but if i compare my wife i30 with my 3008 is huge diference in terms of lane assist. I30 is almos driving by itself while peugeot is just turnig the stearing wheel left or right.
Yes Hyundai have a better land assist ...they have experience alot with Ioniq...👍👍

I wonder you didn't wet your u'wear c/o that garrulous gushing. It's a c a r for Pete's sake, not a woman, a kinetic collection of metal, glass, rubber and plastic unworthy of the narrative sploshing you lavished on it. In my eyes the e208 is a messy mishmash albeit I acknowledge that I'm a lone crtic in this connection. The front grill is aggressively overlarge and ugly; the side vista nothing worthy of comment; the back end gawdy and flash. Overall it comes across as though it was designed by a committee unable to agree a cohesive whole. Visually the only redeeming feature comes courtesy of those elongated LED 'claws' either side of that in-your-face grill. Contrast the street presence of this vehicle with the Renault Zoe: elegant and graceful from every angle, its image immediately presenting a seamless blend that dovetails together with great effect and doing so, unlike the e208, with no glitches at any point of its impact on the senses - it's a tremendous attainment by this rival manufacturer that the Zoe looks every last bit as fresh today as when it first came on the market nearly ten years ago. The shape is the same save for minor illumanative tweaks front and rear. Cosmetically speaking, in my 'view' the comparison between these two cars is akin to that resembling a shed and The Shard.
