Great video! Very informative. I'm from Canada and traveled there about 15 months ago for extensive dental work, including approximately 26 crowns and bite correction due to grinding, along with some bridge work. I stayed at the same hotel but used Castle Dental. I was influenced by someone online and reached out to others who had similar work done with them. I appreciate that you mentioned Sani Dental making all your arrangements, whereas I had to handle mine and transportation myself, but it wasn't a big issue. Considering the amount I paid, it would have been a nice touch.
However, I can't praise the people and the dental work enough. The experience was fantastic, and I'm tempted to go back just for a cleaning. When I got back, my local dentist checked the work and noted that some crowns could be a bit tighter, potentially allowing food to get caught. But with careful cleaning, my follow-up cleanings have been successful. The entire experience, from the office to the town's atmosphere, was fantastic. It's funny how I've come to enjoy talking about teeth and often recommend this place to people who ask for dental work recommendations.
I went alone, and it was my first time in Mexico. If I were to change anything, it might have been to stay in Yuma for more activities, but honestly, when you're spending most of the day in the dental chair and not feeling 100% comfortable due to the dental work, sightseeing isn't the top priority, I guess.

Glad you had a good experience with Castle Dental too. Honestly, it looked like there are many good options in Los Algodones. Did you find the price to be a fraction of what you would pay at home? Is is a fraction of what we pay in the USA for sure!

@@oldschool3688 well in all honesty in Canada I was quoted $38,000 Canadian for work needed. In Mexico I paid about $14, 000 American...plus flights ect. I did pay $6000 for implants in Canada before I decided to go south. Although as we all all dental work isn't created equal and individuals have different problems that need correcting ,excetera. So there is never one-size-fits-all :-)

Just got back. Stayed in Yuma until I found a surgeon in San Luis Mexico and had my gallbladder removed.
The lady at Aloha Dental helped me find him. Got a crown at Aloha Dental and she also owns a Optometrist office where we got glasses too. I had already got a ultrasound in San Luis for another Dr in Guadalajara. Mirella actually took me to a Dr in Los Algodones who read my ultrasound for free. They're just good people down there. Mirella at Aloha is the best and a friend for life.

Big tip: If you are getting implants anywhere try to get all the necessary hardware (Abutments) in case you can't return here. There are so many brands and sizes of implants and the abutments.

Your video was very informative. I watched another very long video of a women taking her mother to a dentist, and her video was 99% tour of Los Algodones. It must have been in winter or early spring lots of snowbirds there. Vendors, restaurants, hotels, etc. at the end, she asked her mother if she would recommend her dentists, and she said yes. They hooked up with. ‘Guide’ they meet after they crossed the border and took her to several before she made selection.

Hey Tiffany! Don't know your location but would like to share my experience in case it helps you or anyone else. Just went to Nuevo progreso ,Tamaulipas 5 mi outside of Weslaco, Texas. I drove from the Kansas City area to Weslaco and stayed there. There is a small uncomplicated airport in Harlingen that has commercial flights a person could fly to. Uber's are available but I would recommend pre renting a car for extended stays. I stayed at a clean motel 6 for $74 a night on Westgate in Weslaco. Parked in a paid parking lot and took the short walk across the bridge into Nuevo progreso. I walked down the main Street which is only about five blocks and was approached by many dental reps. Walked into the clinics and talked to dentists. Had four free quotes/assessments by the end of the day that Saturday. There are over 100 dentists in that town which keeps them very competitive. Most do not advertise online and have simple but clean facilities. Their livelihood depends on repeat customers and quality work. Some specialized in implants and zirconia is available. I got different opinions on the best way to do my dental work and I believe they were all sincere and wanted to do the best work possible. They are licensed and have a dental college and labs in that town. Made an appointment at Prestige dental clinic with Dr. Izdarely Martinez, a licensed dental surgeon. She prepped my teeth and made impressions in about 45 minutes time Monday morning. Went back Friday morning and had nine porcelain w/metal crowns (3 bridges) adjusted for a perfect fit and put in. That took approximately 1 hour. The total cost was $1,500 compared to $7500. At my American dentist. That clinic is located on Sonora 2nd Street on the left as you enter town. There is an organized group of dentists that advertise online which you could get a quote from and make an appointment with before arriving. They have state-of-the-art equipment and fancy clinics . They are also more expensive and not necessarily better but a person may prefer that for complicated or risky procedures. For basic dental work you can usually walk straight into an office and have it done immediately without appointments. It is a safe town I have been there many times. Most everyone speaks english and transactions are done in US dollars and credit cards. A passport is not required. There is a dedicated line at customs for driver's license or birth certificates. I enjoyed South Padre Island and SpaceX approximately 40 mi from Weslaco. Checked out Galveston, Corpus Christi, Mustang Island and camped out in the Boston mountains of Arkansas on my way home. Best trip to the dentist ever!!!

When you call to set up your appointment they will ask you if you have any recent x-rays you can send, but if you don’t, that’s fine. I didn’t. We went to Sani Dental and we were pleased, but I am sure there are many good dental clinics there. We’re going back in a couple of weeks, In fact.

They’re are several dentist at sani dental, some reviews are good and customer s were satisfied . My whole experience with with dr. Allen and others were a total nightmare of lies, fraud, and rushed work and just plain poor work on me that my zirconia is completely out of alignment. I feel the price supposedly cheaper vs $uS is not worth it. If I had to do it over again. Forget it! I got fobbed, lied, and charged ridiculously too with the cheap care of professionalism. I wii send a complete detailed experience to the GRC and dental tourism when they decide to rate their standings. I will never go back if they offered for free. Never! I will seek another better institute.

I researched, got treatment: Extractions, 5 implants in Cancun, 03/21.
7weeks ago Oscar and Rodrigo Guerra, top rated charlatans, Guatemala City, Guatemala killed, permanently damaged my inferior alveolar, mental, and lingual nerves. Two surgeries: I. 2 implants, departure (admitted mistake) from intended treatment plan, II. After 3 weeks of intense, unrelenting pain in the U.S. the elder horsed out the implant directly into my mental foramen In retrospect, and given what a subsequent implant specialist, pros tho don't I st 3 weeks ago said, was more traumatic than even the initial implants. The retreat went straight into the IAN canal, i.e, the same malpractice as initially! I AM A DENTIST OF FIFTY YEARS, and most would say none of these guys in any of these tourist destinations could shine my shoes!
