Sir contingency isn't same for CSIR and UGC fellowship. For CSIR fellows the contingency is 20,000 per year throughout the tenure (5yrs) but for UGC Junior Research Fellow Contingency amount Rs. 12000/- per year, and UGC Senior Research fellow Contingency amount Rs. 25,000/- per year.
There are many more differences between CSIR and UGC JRF, I'm describing some of them below, 1. CSIR JRF is valid for 2 years but UGC JRF is valid for 3 years from date of issuing of E-certificate. 2. For the issuing of CSIR JRF certificate, we have to send multiple documents to the CSIR, but in the case of UGC we don't have to send anything they directly release the E-certificate. 3. In CSIR JRF there is only one certificate for LS as well as JRF (from last year) but for UGC JRF they release 2 certificates one is for JRF and another is for LS. 4. In the case of CSIR JRF contingency amount is deposited to the institute's bank account and the fellow has to claim their contingency from the institute. But in the case of UGC JRF, the contingency is directly deposited to the fellow's bank account.
Sir , if ugc and csir jrf's are randomly decided , then how could the joint csir ugc body let the students suffer on the basis of randomness?. Sometimes it's better to get monthly fellowship rather than a half yearly kind of fellowship . So is there any chances that these things are going to correct from this year?.. since this is not a students fault , its about the fate 😅
Research Scholars have raised their voices regarding the same, few years back CSIR use to be very regular with fellowship but with time they've become so painful. Problem is with CSIR not being sincere that's it, if UGC can give proper fellowship with time to 20 times more students than CSIR then why can't csir do that.

Only CSiR JRF top 20 candidates will attend SPM fellow ship interview but ugc jrf fellows will not. But both UGC and Csir jrf are getting equal amount fellowship during their PhD PERIOD.

There's a procedure for institute change in the fellowship. You've to check UGC website for that. She can switch institute with same fellowship but the tenure will not change, I mean if she's initiated her JRF in 2021 it'll be considered same, even if the institute is changed.

Go to the admin building of your institute, they will give you form to start JRF and end your institute fellowship, you may also be asked to repay your institute fellowship whatever you got till no You have to give your JRF score card and then other formalities they will tell you

You will get all the money for 6 month combined which will be something around 1lakh 86 thousands at once
