Thanks for the video and tips B Lat. I moved to SC last year and Hartwell is my new home lake. Been challenging, especially during the hot summer months. But the fall topwater bite was super fun though!

Huge help, i live just above martin and usually put in at gumlog and fish around tugaloo, I definitely want to get into the off shore stuff. This video definitely helped my confidence level. Any tips for that far up? Does off shore fishing up there change from the main lake?

@@BrianLatimerFishing and my bad Elrod Lightfoot log is on the ga side we all used to call the long point between Elrod and lightwood,state park,or gum branch areas I saw u all evening I fished behind u and deeper than u were fishing I caught a 7 and 3 5,s thar day all off bed! We were just fishing bot on a tournament but was watched u catch several good ones that day!!

So go you think glass boats are best suited for that lake I’ve been wanting to take me a bass fishing trip there with my rt188p but didn’t want to get in over my head since it’s such a big lake
You will be fine. I have an RT198. I've run from 12 mile to the dam. If the water gets rough, trim the motor up some and go slow. This will keep your nose up. Good luck fishing.

Why would the material of your boat matter what bodies of water you can go out on?!? I’ve seen 14’ Jon Boats miles out in the ocean here in South Florida.

Can this lake be fished from the bank?!?? I too am leaving Friday afternoon and that’s a loooong drive from Miami to then not be able to fish the lake if you don’t have a boat!

I prefer clear banks with structure, brush and leaves, so hopefully there’s foot access to such things.
So sc license only good for that tournament week only?
