  • Today, we drive and review my very own 1976 Alfa Romeo GT1600 Junior! Part of the "105 series", this classic Alfa Romeo model started life in 1968 with the Giulia Sprint GT and had a 10+ year production period that ended in 1977. Distinguished by the 1300, 1600, 1750 and 2000GTV models, all 105 series Alfa Romeo have a barky 4-cylinder double over head cam engine with twin carburettors. In this video, you will also find out more about my personal story with this car which involved a long history of restoration, selling, and repurchasing, enjoy!

    Thanks for good video. I have been owning 1969 1750GTV Mk.1 for 35 years since 1986 inJapan. I have seen hundreds of Giulia in Japan, but I believe both this blue color and 2000GTV face on 1600GTJ of your car are very rare. Nice!

    105s are enduring affordable classics. I'm fortunate to own a '69 1750GTV & a '74 2000GTV, which has the same front arrangement as your car. There's nothing wrong with double clutching on down shifts, it's fun and I even do it on my 2011 Mazda 3 SP25 daily driver. Hi from Oz.

    I own a classic MGB roadster from the 1970s that I learned to drive in (yes, right-hand drive). I agree with your comment that you "feel" the car when driving. Thanks for sharing your Alfa!

    To be accurate, the Unification model in 1976 is actually a 115 series instead of the 105 series.

    You are so lucy, you have got my dream car! A few years back I went to an open day at 'Alfaholics' (video on my channel) and I was like a kid in a candy shop. I prefer the look of your car to the step nose variants mainly due to the Miura like cowled instrument binnacle. You need to film one of the Alfaholics GTA-Rs in Hong Kong.

    I like how the commentator says “not to worry” the car was fine after a motorcyclist hit a Ferrari then the GT.
    No mention of human life 😂 just that the car was ok having sacrificed an F-car a moto and possibly a human.

    • @user-to6hm6ei8k
      @user-to6hm6ei8k  Před rokem

      Uh...because factually the the motorcyclist WAS fine, there was no "possibly a sacrificed human life". He made full recovery. He was also the sole person who caused the entire accident because he was speeding and went into oncoming traffic before crashing into two cars. So he alone sacrificed his own motorcycle, a Ferrari, and a classic Alfa, not the other way around.
