- How to Make Your First Woovebox Beat
Today I'm demonstrating how to make your first beat using the Woovebox! While the Woovebox is an incredibly in depth device, making a basic beat is actually much simpler than you might realize. At the end of the video, I'll also show you just how easy it is to add a randomly generated bassline to your beat, so you can get started jamming right away! Enjoy the video :)

Bonus tip, if you set the note length of the HH to 0, you get your basic closed hat and use a 2 length for your open HH :). Also great video, wish I watched something like this when I started :)
An awesome tip from the master!
Thanks so much for the shoutout my dude, really appreciate it!! Also great video as always!
Man I love the patch randomization ❤
SAME!
I appreciate the beginner style videos, as I'm still very much a newbie. I learn something new every video, and often find myself re-watching these videos to remember all the tips.
Glad to help! The Woovebox is deeeeeeep, but pretty simple to get started with. How are you liking it so far?
@@FreeBeat It's a great little device! I've had it since late last year and still feel like I've just scratched the surface, and he keeps adding new functionality! haha I've mostly used to create beats and bass lines to play my keyboard along with. I will say, the one thing I would change is the screen. I find I don't remember what certain abbreviations mean and have to look it up on the manual somewhat regularly. It would be nice to have something more easily readable. Nothing fancy, but maybe like a small OLED would make navigating easier.
Well done!
Thank you!
Thank you so much!!
Thank YOU for watching!
Thanks for putting this together - now to get experimenting with random patches :D
Yeah the random patches are the best!
Very nice. Thank you very much.
Thanks for watching!
Great video as always! :)
Thanks so much!
Thanks ‼️
Thanks for watching!
Very useful video. Mine is on its way 😜
I hope you love it! There's a lot to it and it can seem overwhelming at first, but if you start off with the basics everything will follow :)
Thank you for replying. I’m really looking forward to using it. It’s a device that really caught my attention.
I just got my woovebox and I love it but my settings keep not saving, I read on the website there is auto save but the only time I can get settings to save is hitting play to stop the music and hitting play to start it again. Is something I'm doing wrong?
The Woovebox and Smpltrek are probably the two i am most seriously considering picking up to mate with my Roland s1. I've pondered the model cycles and the aira drum machine, but its a lot to ponder without having hands on all of them. Anyone have advice for properly pondering these options?
How do you delete a song or go to a new song
Enter song mode by holding down the knob and pressing button 16. Once you're in song mode, you can change songs by holding down the play button and pressing buttons 1 through 16. To delete a song, in song mode, simply hold down the right button and click the knob until you see "init song," then long press the knob.
Hello, i would like to know if you sell Freebeat tee-shirt or sweat shirt with your logo ?
Maybe! I've considered doing merch before but I'm not sure how many people would be interested haha.
@@FreeBeat ok thanks for your answer
Great video, too late for me, bought an MPC one and sold my woovebox 😬
I hope you're loving your MPC!
