Matumbo ( Goat Stomach) Very Easy and Popular in Kenya

  • Matumbo ( Goat Stomach) Receipe
    Method and Ingredients:
    I piece Matumbo (goat stomach ) washed and cut into small pieces.
    * Biol for 30 minutes or pressure for 20 minutes until tender .
    Add to the boiling or pressuring salt 1 tsp, Garlic 1 tsp, Ginger 1 tsp, Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp and vinegar 1 tbsp.
    Note ( Vinegar and turmeric will kill any bacteria which can cause illness.
    * Once tender strain and keep aside.
    * Take a blender add one large onion 🧅 , 2 large tomatoes and some coriander leaves . Add little water and make a thick consistency paste .
    * Add to the paste red chili powder 1/2 tsp, turmeric powder 1/8 tsp, cumin powder 1 tsp, coriander powder 1 tsp , ground black pepper 1/8 tsp and salt 1 tep and mix well .
    Note instead of cumin and coriander powder you can use curry powder .
    * Heat a pan , Add 3-4 tablespoon of oil, then add 1 tsp of garlic and ginger paste . Sauce for 2 minutes .
    * Add the tomatoes mixture and cook until oil evaporates . Add the Matumbo ( goat stomach ) and cook until tender . Add little water if gravy is less .
    * Garnish with coriander leaves 🍃 and enjoy with ugali, chapatti , rice ir bread .
