@@1RodRob No actually. I found it both interesting and creative. I think it's great to look at something and see it not for what it is, but for what it has the potential to be.
Love your inventions/ideas. The fishing community is behind you. Look forwards to more & defo sharing to my timeline. Thanks & big hugs to out Brummie Bear xx
Some great tips there Rob ,I found that for my main compartment lid which is heavy wire trace worked better there was no stretch in it couple of crimps and no knots to slip .One new subscriber. Top man .
Apologies for the late reply, no idea how I missed the comment sorry. Thank you for your kind words and I'm glad you found it interesting. Lots more videos to come yet, some of which I think people will find fascinating (fingers crossed). Thanks again for your support by watching and commenting.
Some great ideas here fella - have this box and the old stool beta box - each have their place but the lil ol box just got more useful thanks to you - liked and subscribed! From a fellow landlocked sea angler !
Thanks for the good tips and info. It might help if you get cheap thin small magnets from ebay and if you glue them inside the box and then another one to your tackle its super fast taken them off and on and can also hang stuff upside down or on the sides ect.
I’ve got one of those boxes for boat fishing but it’s just too small for shore fishing. For beach gear it’s got to be a Shakey Beta Box with Breakaway Back Rest Conversion.
If that works for you, great. For me I like to take/carry as minimal as possible but with a well organised box you can fit a lot of stuff in them. Thanks for watching and commenting.
@@1RodRob I’d argue that a Beta Box (well organised, like mine is) with a Breakaway Seat Conversion, is easier to carry than the Daiwa box on a strap. Unless you put the Daiwa backpack conversion (with its 6 fasteners) onto your box?
Like what you've done to your box, will try to upgrade mine,it's a bit top heavy and falls over, like the metal latch/rod idea .In fact liked all your mods.Cheers
@@1RodRob I used some webbing straps to stop the top-box opening too far, burnt the ends to stop the strap fraying, drilled and bolted on .Probably not as good as the stays for keeping the box open but will do for now
@@TAMMYSTACKER That sounds great, I hope it serves you well. Thank you for letting me know, it's nice to know when people do some of the mods. More videos coming soon.
Whenever I go for a new rig in the lower box, there are always stray hooks .So, to make the middle tray of the box less top heavy ,I've taken the bottom ×2 clear lids of the top lid near the hinges off. The large foam round rig winders I've cut down a bit with a junior hacksaw then cut a 'V' into the flattened end so you can wind rigs on. I can get 4 rigs each side and / or the small rig winders or bits box's in the middle between them. That's the tray next to the hinges. I put the leads towards the front of the lower box. To stop the box tipping backwards. Just an idea.
Pleased to hear you have enjoyed my video content and thank you for the sub. My next video is about how to store grip leads a little tidier and safer. Plenty more ideas to show, I hope you continue to enjoy! Shout out to The South Coast Dangler also, great stuff!
Apologies for the late reply, I have been away for 2 weeks. I will make a video showing how I made both style hinges soon, they are quite simple and cheap to make.

Not a bad idea that, I'll have a think about that. Cheers!
@@1RodRob There's only 1 maybe 2 people doing modifications for these beta boxes extra trays and gas lifters, Am sure you could add to that!
