There's something about the flail that I just really jive with. Even if there are better meta choices I really like using the flail, even on a class like BH.
i love the flail on sienna but the flail on salz i dont like at all just because it has a weird attack pattern and the heavy attacks are not realy spammable because of the smal ,,charge up,, bevor each swing
Axe and Falcion just make me smile when I use them, they hit fast and hard and can deal with most anything. it's also a great feeling with Zealot when you charge in and just swing away.
A note on the Holy Great Hammer, for Warrior Priest. When using his Stagger talent, it gets much stronger. Throw in when Righteous Fury activates, and it becomes a wrecking ball of pure annihilation, even on Legend and Cata. Esp when you use the talent for extra smite damage. Even better, it blasts your temp health into the stratosphere. Now tack on using it during your Ult, with the talent for 8 second duration and trample. I've soloed Citadel of Eternity end hordes without losing any health on Legend doing this. Gives such a sense of being a walking apocalypse.
@@theobell2002 why though? i feel like without it, it already staggers everything. idk if the stagger power maybe lets u hit a chaos warrior stagger breakpoint. do u get more thp for staggering things with the extra stagger talent? that would make sense but like idk if an enemy can get knocked to the ground 25 percent harder when theyre already being knocked to the ground. since his changes ive been using the monster power for the party.
Falchion is my guilty pleasure weapon for Zealot. There are times when you just wanna go on Legend and turn-off your brain for a mission or two and start hacking away with an oversized kitchen knife. Im ready take some hits, but I'll get them back anyway.
I really hope the Axe gets a buff some day, I like that thing and it has some cool looking illusions. When I run it I really feel how much it holds the player back, feels like it forces the player to use the Gryphon Foot pistols just to compensate the lack of cc, wich is at least doable with BH with the right setup.
Meh... that only really matters for cata+. On legends - you can just grab swift slaying and if you know how to push and dodge you can pull a patrol during a horde and be fine
i actually adore using the axe to split shields and heads on bounty hunter with the griffonfoot pistol (with ammo on crit) for hoards and dancing back and forth between them, its not the best setup but its certainly the most fun for me not to mention, running up on someone with some woodsmans axe you found is very bounty huntery feeling

true Falchion is even better than AaF, because with falchion you can cleave throu a whole horde and the 3dt light attack is sometimes enough to kill a stormvermin one shot (on legend).
How is it easier to use than AaF? It doesn't get any easier than AaF in vermintide lol. Plus the falchion is a finesse-based weapon, you need to score headshots to get it's value
The only weapons Saltzpyre has below A tier right now are the greatsword and the axe, and even those are surprisingly serviceable in skilled hands. His weapon line-up is really solid.
I would rate them the same way. This mod slightly buffs some weapons like the greatsword, the axe and a few others. YT would cut the link so the name is: Zoli's Weapons. I tried the greatsword with WHC and it's easier to use. Maybe it's B tier with the mod, Idk.
...or you can take a 2h hammer and forget about CWs. Unless you are WHC.. but then again, why would you ever pick a greatsword over a rapier when all you need is as many hits and crits as possible?.. :D
Something I forgot to mention and I don't know if people already know this(probably do but I'll mention it anyway). The pistol shot from the Rapier benefits from the Bounty Hunters Blessed Shot(and puts it on CD) which in turn triggers things like Swift Slaying and Resourceful Combatant. The pistol shot also stacks the melee damage increase of the Talent Blessed Combat. But benefits from neither the melee nor the ranged damage increase from Blessed Combat. But does consume the ranged stacks. (On a side note, Locked and Loaded will also stack the melee damage increase from Blessed Combat too. I also found a bug with Blessed Combat, but it only effects the training area. And that is if you stack it up and then change talents you permanently keep the stacks and the damage increase. So you can have both the melee and the ranged damage increase as it won't use up the stacks.)

The greatsword also allows you to cleave through armoured enemies for some reason.. dk why. In any case it doesn't save it, too weak and slow for choosing it over most other weapons. The only bright side of it is getting it randomly in Wastes and approaching the next random weapon shrine, knowing that you can only get better xD
one thing to mention on the GS is that on zealot it can be Ok, other weapons are better, but if you wanna play something else then hook or AF, then gs can be fun.
God i love using the axe against hordes i can't stop myself from charging straight into a skaven slave horde and giving each skaven slave a personal back hand with the axe
I love axe and falcion on Zealot. It has nice attavk speed and can easily deal with everything. A horde coming, no problem. Bunch of CW's? Lets heavy attack their little heads in. Even boss damage is adequate. My personal choise for Zealot.
Holy great hammer is still an S tier weapon on warrior priest as far as I'm concerned, it's massive stagger and armor cleave with warrior priest's 25% bonus stagger means it can easily control upwards of 10 maulers or stormvermins
I think it's move set is a bit awkward. With any other greathammer you have lights for overheads and power attacks for cleave. Priest's greathammer is all over the place and I find the move where he pulls the hammer up from below to strike really off-putting. I can't fault them for giving it a unique move set, though.
I personally don't find the rhythm of it too difficult, but it's obviously person to person thing, I find it better than Bardin's or Kruber's great hammers
Personally I really love the Greatsword on Saltz. It just works for me. I run it on Bounty Hunter wich helps with that career's temp health generation problems. It's great for hordes while I've got the pistols for elites.
I would put axe and falchion in S tier. Having the fast attacks and armour piercing make them incredibly versatile and gives so much dps. Additionally the first heavy is a top down strike, so its amazing for mixing a few heavy headshots into your combos. They have no big weakness, which makes them so incredibly good. It sure can be played as a mindless weapon, but when you use your brain a little, youre even going to out damage a tryhard waystalker.
Lack of cleave, weird light attacks motions that make it a bit hard to score headshots and low stamina keep it back. On zealot it's ok (still worse than the great hammer and the bill hook) cause you can take the hits but witch hunter and bounty hunter are worse with it than the s-tier weapons and the falchion. Only thing that's S-tier is how easy it is to use.
honestly dual hammers and flail & shield cannot be s-tier just because the careers they're available on really don't need super safe melee weapons the s-tier kinda feels like "would be s-tier if bounty hunter could use them" ...except bill hook and great hammer. they're actually best in slot i think core had rapier in a because it's worse than bill hook, flail & shield in a because it's not s, and dual hammers in b because it's worse than flail & shield? makes sense to me. you do have to consider your temp hp options when considering your melee options (which core did) and your s tier seems to exist in a vacuum
Single hammer is better than you think, I'm unsure if it deserves to be in B tier, I believe it's A LOT better than hammer&tome. I've tested the thing out (along with many other weapons) so much in modded realm that I question whether I have a life or not, against 40 chaos marauders in Cata 3 Deathwish (which isnt anything to be scoffed at). Works best on Zealot obviously, its attacks stagger and cleave through enemies with ease, even in Cata3 DW, heavy attacks are great against armoreds like CWs and they're reallly fast as well. it has great CC, attack speed and single-target dmg, and have 4.5 stamina bars means you're able to push a lot longer to keep yourself in the fight a lot longer and trust me, in something like Cata 3 Deathwish, you're gonna want to use those pushes. It belongs in A or even S tier bc Zealot has it, I'd honestly consider it on par with Billhook and HGH on Zealot and I've played Billhook a lot and know how good it is, but Billhook can suffer in the CC department in sth like Cata 3 DW.

The light attacks are all overheads, the only wide-sweep one is the push-attack, overall it's just not that reliable as other weapons when it comes to dealing with huge hordes (unless they're all grouped up in a blob), just bc it's slow. if you can do the AoE charged attack faster then it'd be awesome, Ofc I know you can charge with special button too.

Um... The axe is actually fairly solid on BH with the new griffinfoots...I've actually heard some people argue it's one of the best for Bounty Hunter and it is my preferred. It also can be used on Zealot just fine because if you max out your attack speed it is actually fine against hordes. Does not belong in the bottom tier. It's terrible on many of the Saltz but it's definitely in the top 3 for BH and about average for Zealot.

Number one has to be Rapier, it just performs really well, is easy to use and that pistol shot special is really fun and versatile(if you can get it to hit 😢 my aim is bad). My second would have to be Falchion and Axe, it slices, it dices, it hacks through armor. One weapon that I do like the concept of but fails to deliver is, the Hammer and Tome. Its charge up is insanely too long, making it waste of time charging it up as the enemies will be dead faster just spamming regular attacks or you will be trying to charge it up. Sure you can pre-charge it, but that's a one off use when not under attack. Its only real use currently is the extra movement you can get out of it, to catch up to everyone, who are always run off 😒. Personally I just wish it threw out a ranged attack instead of rushing forward and charged up significantly faster. It would make killing specials a lot easier, especially ones like Ratling Gunners and Blight Callers who can stay well out of range of the charge attack and make horde clearing a lot more fun using the charged up AoE overhead.
you can save the charge on the Hammer and Tome, and getting interrupted doesn't reset its charge. also it's not really all that much slower that some of the other weapons heavy attacks
@@JondarKorric Did you even read what I said?, I already stated that, but the issue is that's just a one off use in-between swarms. And its three to four times slower than a heavy attack to fully charge. Trying getting it fully charge back up when your fighting a swarm. but like I already said, its quicker and saver not to bother and just spam quick attacks. Making the charge up system rather ineffective and pointless, making uniqueness of the weapon pointless. Even if it consumes Stamina like the Billhook but charged up way faster it would be better.
I really liked the 2H hammer on Warrior priest, but I just can't play with it for the reason that it is on the opposite of the screen where it should be and that just irritates me a LOT more then it should and just feels weird swinging it and his Hammer/Tome aswell..
Eh, never was a fan of duel wield weapons, would have put Falchion and SS & Shield higher while lowering the A&F and Duel SS, but I can see why people like them.
I feel like dual hammer is a bit over rated on salts since it’s two really tanky classes that has them. They are super safe and excellent hoard clear but always feel like the lack raw dmg vs elites and bosses, was rarely a problem for bardin since he normally does god ranged damage of has a axe or dual axes as slayer for dps. Shield and flail plus SS just seems dumb 2 safe aoe weapons aren’t needed and you basically want shield and flail on any serious WP build. Tome just fills the role better for WP. And zealot could just run something with more dps like A&F or Holy great hammer

Yeah, that's pretty much the only way I found to utilise the axe. Gotta say, Fat Sharks seem to have some personal grudge against 1h axes.

Falchion's A for me. Easy weapon with great anti horde and anti elite potential, plus easier to use than AaF

Big cleave and every hit returns cooldown on the ult, so it's good for spamming ult

There is an approved mod you can install called “armory.” use it in the keep by typing /armory and all this information will be available to you 😁

Honestly the rapier headshot bit makes sense to me. It's a dualist's weapon. Precision is your friend

You could mention that it has almost same inner block modifier as shield (2.3 i guess), which means it has really good defense

Hi how you doing I tried paired skull spliters on zealot but... I felt like I couldn't fight elites at all
Number one has to be Rapier, it just performs really well, is easy to use and that pistol shot special is really fun and versatile(if you can get it to hit 😢 my aim is bad). My second would have to be Falchion and Axe, it slices, it dices, it hacks through armor.
One weapon that I do like the concept of but fails to deliver is, the Hammer and Tome. Its charge up is insanely too long, making it waste of time charging it up as the enemies will be dead faster just spamming regular attacks or you will be trying to charge it up. Sure you can pre-charge it, but that's a one off use when not under attack. Its only real use currently is the extra movement you can get out of it, to catch up to everyone, who are always run off 😒. Personally I just wish it threw out a ranged attack instead of rushing forward and charged up significantly faster. It would make killing specials a lot easier, especially ones like Ratling Gunners and Blight Callers who can stay well out of range of the charge attack and make horde clearing a lot more fun using the charged up AoE overhead.
you can save the charge on the Hammer and Tome, and getting interrupted doesn't reset its charge. also it's not really all that much slower that some of the other weapons heavy attacks
@@JondarKorric Did you even read what I said?, I already stated that, but the issue is that's just a one off use in-between swarms. And its three to four times slower than a heavy attack to fully charge. Trying getting it fully charge back up when your fighting a swarm. but like I already said, its quicker and saver not to bother and just spam quick attacks. Making the charge up system rather ineffective and pointless, making uniqueness of the weapon pointless. Even if it consumes Stamina like the Billhook but charged up way faster it would be better.
I really liked the 2H hammer on Warrior priest, but I just can't play with it for the reason that it is on the opposite of the screen where it should be and that just irritates me a LOT more then it should and just feels weird swinging it and his Hammer/Tome aswell..

Eh, never was a fan of duel wield weapons, would have put Falchion and SS & Shield higher while lowering the A&F and Duel SS, but I can see why people like them.
I feel like dual hammer is a bit over rated on salts since it’s two really tanky classes that has them. They are super safe and excellent hoard clear but always feel like the lack raw dmg vs elites and bosses, was rarely a problem for bardin since he normally does god ranged damage of has a axe or dual axes as slayer for dps.
Shield and flail plus SS just seems dumb 2 safe aoe weapons aren’t needed and you basically want shield and flail on any serious WP build. Tome just fills the role better for WP. And zealot could just run something with more dps like A&F or Holy great hammer
