Historian Jamyang Norbu shares Gyari Dorjee Youdon's courageous fight against Communist China

Listen to an interview with historian Jamyang Norbu, as he shares the tale of Gyari Dorjee Youdon's courageous struggle against the Communist Chinese invasion in Eastern Tibet. Described by her late diplomat son Gyari Lodi Gyaltsen as a "horsewoman, defender of the citadel, barbarian slayer, protectress, mother," Dorjee Youdon was a legend in her own right.
Gyari Dorjee Youdon passed away on April 19, 2024 at the age of 92 in Delhi. Her cremation was held in Mindroling, Clement town on April 29, 2024, presided by His eminence Khokim Rinpoche and attended by near, dear and those in public offices.

I think Gyari Chemi Youdon and Gyari Dorji Youdon are the most courageous women of kham and ofcourse Tibet.
