Chelsea needs more time to get her feet under her. All of her shots hit the front of the rim last night. She’s not in playing shape yet. I’m not gonna lie. I didn’t like the shot she took down the stretch in the last minutes but those are going to drop for her later in the season. I thought Plum had it at the end. I like her taking that shot with the run she’s been on. Plum and JYO are the only players other than AW who should take that shot at the end of the 4th so I’m not mad. I would have liked to see Tip sub for CG the last Sparx possession but… Like Coach said, tye defensive intensity wasn’t there till the 4th. Good thing is there’s another quick turn around to the next game to get the bad taste out of their mouths. I love this team. Keep working hard. There’s more to do.
The Aces' biggest problem this year has been defense, with A'ja is alone inside and, frankly, Kia Stokes devilishly ineffective in all field of the game this year. The rebound she lost with Alisha Clark to young rookie Rickea could have been the turning point of the game in OT. The team only had 3 offensive rebounds all game. There's also the fact that Chelsea Gray is coming back from injury and I don't know if she'll be able to handle such intense games. Jacquie Young and Kelsey Plum have not been consistent this year. They can play three games and the next they're just too average. We'll have to restructure the team this year and give A'ja a really good defense.
nice gameplan for the player who has 35 points to only take 1 shot in overtime. everytime Aja is doing super good we go away from her , but she always takes the blame for the team.
You can almost always set your clock to when they move away from A'ja. The whole 3rd quarter to about the middle of the 4th. It's so weird. This wasn't a thing last year.
Exactly!! How do you not have your best player not touch the ball at all?? Offense should go through Aja without any doubt… KP misses a wide open shot…
Unfortunately A’ja has to work up the same bitterness D has towards her in order to beat them. It’s obvious sparks aren’t the better team but that hate/bitterness will always be an extra chip she will have. I mean D said in the post game interview her team knows how much winning against the Aces mean to her so now we know the truth. The get back needs to be real come August
This is always a championship game for The Sparks. A'ja only taking 1 shot in OT is crazy. They couldn't stop her all night. I hope this team can recover on Sunday. Fatigue will be a factor, but they gotta be ready.
Your road schedule is whacked…. Whoever makes the schedule has to realize you guys need more rest between games!! Take care of the ladies WNBA 😠! No matter what anyone says you won that game with all your hearts! Next one for the W! You guys got this!

KP plays selfishly. She doesn’t move the ball. CG is slow af and can be a defensive liability.
