Is the Lamborghini Revuelto an expensive supercar or a cheap hypercar?
Cheap when you consider most manufacturers charge AT LEAST 1 million pounds for hypercar.

@@paulantony4598 right now an sf90 is 350k for a 1000hp ferrari. The other 1000hp ferrari is a la ferrari that now costs 3.5 million. So for 10% of the price you can buy a baby la ferrari. And its alot more than 10 percent of that car. Its actually faster but la ferrari is from 2013 and sf90 2019
@@cephasmakuzva I don't like the SF90's & most Ferrari's interior, Revuelto's is much better. SF90 is a V8, Revuelto is a V12 - different experience. SF90's looks aren't as exotic as the Revuelto's. The Ferrari doesn't even have swing up doors. If you simply just want to go fast, there are faster & cheaper cars..Plaid, Sapphire etc. even have extra seats. Going fastest is not the only thing, though the Revuelto is pretty fast enough & I'm sure it can go faster with a bit of ECU tweaking..

I tend to agree with you. Having a V12 in a supercar makes it very special. I would say that a Ferrari F12 is probably the best value used supercar at the moment.
I choose Revuelto over SF90. Both do 0 to 60 in under 2.5 seconds. Both have 1000hp. Sf90 is slightly faster but how fast do you want to go. Both are bonkers fast. I think Revuelto looks better. Sounds better. And i recon it is better. Its an 8 speed double clutch gearbox with 4 wheel steer now. 4 wheel drive and the updated interior. Retained the styling and presence. Also the dihedral doors. Id have the Revuelto.
plus the paintjob is spot on and panels are rightly aligned unlike modern ferraris. It also has buttons instead of annoying haptic feed back.
It should be also noted that handling is more of a priority for lambo than straight line speed, the revuelto is faster around the track than the SVJ.
@@kishlayverma6622 i agree 100%. However for the ferrari fans you could argue Ferrari is just Ferrari isnt it. Theres always something special about it. Sf90 is like a baby la ferrari for 350k. 10% of the price of a la ferrari. From that point sf90 is value for money. If that can be said for a car thats 350k.
Yup, if someone can afford a Revuelto then they can afford to drop a huge 4.5 liter whipple supercharger on it with other upgrades and it'll then probably have over 1,800 hp or more..that would fix the issue of it not being as fast as any other Ferrari or McLaren...or do a twin turbo upgrade and you could probably have way over 2,000hp or more...
@@HM-wv2ft yet it probably won’t be faster around a track, we can just look at the models before it to confirm this the SVJ and Performante held the Nurburgring lap record yet both were slower on EVERY other track than a 488 Pista where all these cars have set lap times
This Revuelto in this color is stunning. We have a 2022 Aventador, but this design and color is looking like a perfect 40th anniversary present for my stunning Italian wife!
Plenty of comments here about it not being faster than an SF90, who cares, it’s not like we can use those kind of speeds often… besides the looks make up for it, and in one of the best Lambo colours on the market too! Great video
Excuses by a Lamborghini fanboy. A next-generation supercar costing $600,000+ shouldn't be outperformed by a 5 year older competitor and a 296 GTB costing $250,000 less. 296 GTB performed better than the Revuelto against the SF90.

This car is sensational, a word used to often these days, but WOW, interior is so futuristic and that V12 sound must be amazing to hear…. Worth every Penny, sadly I do not have enough pennies ….?? It has major presents on the road.

I agree with the commenters saying the SF90 doesn't make a better super car because it's performance is better. We are at a point that speed alone isn't what it is about as it's about the driving exsperience and engagement. A HUGE part of the experience is how you FEEL and how it looks and speaks to you. The SF90 is very bland looking to me and has not great steering feel. I have a 720s in Papaya Spark and the doors going up alone is a part of the experience and vibe. Of all the new modern super cars only this Revuelto would ever entice me to leave the 720s but I cannot afford it. It's a beautiful car and looks much more drivable than the Aventadors which as good as they sounded, just were not fun to drive outside of the SV. The SVJ wasn't nearly as engaging. For me at least. I think in a few years people are gonna think again about the 720s given it's looks aging better than the new version and is only 3000lbs with telepathic steering. It's such a connected driver's car but I am biased;)
I have featured an Aventador SV on the channel a few times and loved it. Very raw and engaging car. Also the V12 in the SV sounds so good. The Revuelto manages to keep some of the DNA of the older Lamborghini models, which is why it is so much fun. I am not a huge fan of the 720S but I do have a soft spot for the 765LTS which we reviewed against the 296 GTS!! I actually think the 650S is great value if you want a McLaren. I had one for 18 months and loved it.

Love that spec. Purple (viola metallic) is fairly rare. Worth $700,000? I'm sure the market will tell us that answer going forward. Watch the future orders sheet. I suspect that the presence of the V12 will keep the production line humming.

For all those worried that the SF90 and PLAID are faster, fear nor Lamborghini is likely to use this beautiful platform to release an Ultra-preformance version. I suspect it would have at least 100HP more and will be faster than both of the cars I mentioned. I can't wait.
The goal of having the fastest car is just redundant. You can only go crazy speeds on the Germany Autobahn. I think cars should be about lightweight and more fun, like the GT4 RS. That has 500bhp and is thrilling to drive on the road.
Lambo still need some more years to develop another ultra performance variant that can beat an already 5 year old car which is out of production, what were their engineers doing? You can continue to wait as the competition wouldn't sit idle and will only be moving forward.

The 296 GTB has dropped in value over the last 6 months. They are relatively cheap now. I would buy a McLaren 765 LTS if I was spending £350,000 on one car.
Thank you for this beautifully filmed video and your review. I haven’t driven a Revuelto but own a LP640 and an Aventador S. I thought this car looked stunning in purple. Regarding the price, the only V12 hybrid I can think of is the LaFerrari. This comes back to the way Lamborghini undercuts their main competitor. A LaFerrari is a beautiful, rare and collectible car but it’s £4M in the UK. A Revuelto is a V12 hybrid at one eighths of the price of the LaFerrari. I don’t think you can compare the SF90 to the Revuelto as the SF90 has a V8. A friend of mine received the first UK Revuelto and has put some miles on it. They’ve said it’s the best V12 ever! However, they did comment that the exposed radiators are looking a little battered. It would have been nice to get a review of how the driving modes differ on road driving and also what the car is like to drive in full electric mode. However, as a V12 Lambo guy, there were enough beauty shots to keep me interested.
I don't think you can compare a LaFerrari to a Revuelto. There is a reason the LaFerrari is now £3 million. The Revuelto will drop over time as it is a production model and they will make a significant amount of them over the next few years. They will also produce a few limited edition special version I would imagine. Right now the Revuelto sits in a unique place as it has the V12 engine. That said, I think an Aventador SV still offers a much more thrilling experience despite having a single clutch gearbox. However, the Revuelto can be used more often now that is has a dual clutch.
@@888mf4 Thank you for taking the time to reply. Yes, you've made a good point with regard to production numbers. I think my point centred on the uniqueness of the engineering. For instance the engineering of the Enzo Ferrari and Aventador are very similar. Both have carbon monocoques, single clutch robotised manual gearboxes and naturally aspirated V12s and pushrod suspension. So my point is - you can buy the technology of the Enzo for a fraction of the price by buying an Aventador. I see the same comparison regarding engineering (not production numbers or rarity as you rightly pointed out) between the Revuleto and LaFerrari in that Lamborghini have made a "mass produced" hybrid V12. The La Ferrari wasn't a plug in hybrid though so in that sense the Revuelto has introduced that. Best wishes.and look forward to seeing you at City Concours on the 6th of June.
LaFerrari, with 950bhp to the rear wheels and significantly lighter than the Revuelto, is a completely different experience and that's back in 2013-15. The HY-KERS unit was derived from Formula One.
The Enzo's gearbox was more advanced than that of the Aventador's, the carbon tub was much lighter and it handled much better than most of the Aventador's, factor in the limited production status and it perfectly justifies its original price and its value has gone up significantly because of the demand, despite the Aventador.
To any average person, cars from Ferrari and Lamborghini would seem similar but Ferrari's technology let's say was and is more advanced. Just take that gearbox in the Enzo, Ferrari would go on to perfect that single clutch automated manual gearbox in the 430 Scuderia and its considered the best iteration of such a gearbox. Meanwhile, the Aventador being a newer generation car compared to the 430 Scuderia, had a gearbox which was slower to shift and was too rough. Even today, the revuelto using a carbon tub and smaller capacity battery is heavier than a SF90 with aluminium chassis and bigger capacity battery by at least 200kg or the SVJ with carbon tub and without electric motors and batteries is heavier than an average SF90 Stradale by around 50-60kg.
If competitors were decided based on same type of engine like V8 or V12, then 918 and P1 would never be considered as competitors to LaFerrari or even the F430/458 and the Gallardo wouldn't be considered as rivals.
@@Bug4life thank you for this insight. How much of these differences are noticeable to the consumer? From a commercial perspective do you owners like me will notice the differences you mentioned? Is an Aventador gearbox really slow at 50milliseconds? Are these engineering milestones really needed for a road car in th le real world. Interesting to ponder.
The biggest problem nowadays is that with every new generation of supercars, the starting price goes up like crazy. It many 10th of thousands more expensive than the previous generation every time. Compare the price of an aventador with a murci. Then the price of this with an aventador. Same goes by ferrari. The 296 is craazy expensive.

I jumped from the Huracan to the 720s and it's shocking that they are worth nearly the same. For me the Performance 720s coupe was a monster upgrade than my LP-580-2. They both sell for about the same price. My papaya spark 720s was loaded as a coupe at 355k but now is maybe 240k tops. The Huracan 580 was 245k and worth about 220k. The Temerario or whatever the replacement is likely will be around 450k when optioned out and I think 400k is the new entry level super car moving forward and 250K is for the "American super car" like the Corvette ZR1. Even Porsche GT3 RS are at prices where the Lambo performante was when it released. The game has changed.

I still prefer the Aventador shape to this. When you buy a £500k Lamborghini you certainly don’t want it to look like the baby brother. Also the day the battery goes dead, what then?
Hybrid engines are still a work in progress in my opinion, so you need to make sure you have a warranty if you buy one
They can charge whatever they want for this car and it still would t be overpriced and car at this price should be the experience that this gives you

He looks great. No question. But Revuelto doesn't stand a chance Centenario's optics either. As a next step, Lamborghini should have released the centenario as a series version instead of having it limited to 40 units worldwide. The revuelto looks more like the next Audi R8, which isn't bad, but not enough for Lamborghini.

A Centenario as a series production doesn't make sense as it's just a rebodied Aventador and as a limited production car it only made sense as a cash grab car.

I think I’ve commented on here before but the video keeps reappearing however I love lambo reviews and I know there’s a few on here considering purchasing a Revuelto. First of all most of the lambo haters on here are basing there opinions off the PlayStation. Most of you haven’t even seen one. Next let’s park the sf90, it’s a brilliant car and great value for money but it’s not a competitor to the Revuelto. The new huracan replacement will be comparable with its 4litre twin turbo v8. The v12 lambo is somewhere nearer to the laferrari but really with the age and cost difference the revuelto is in its own category. Next the aventador single clutch gearbox is way more advanced and easily the best gearbox of its kind. If it wasn’t the svj wouldn’t have held the ring record. Next it’s really not easy to review a Revuelto from first impressions and I wouldn’t be surprised if it didn’t get the best reviews initially because although it’s an easy car to get in and drive, it’s not that easy to drive at the limit without practice. So a quick squirt down the road doesn’t paint the whole picture. In real life the revuelto is the car of the decade, it looks so good. All revuelto owners agree it needs to be stiffer, louder and a little less comfortable but what a start for this new generation lambo. When you look at the detail and tech in the car you have to ask how is it possible to cost under a million quid so these ideas it’s going to fall under list price is for the dreamers.

Lamborghini wants to keep the v12 for as long as possible. Full EV not yet. Ferrari on the other hand are going into full EV. It's a work of art 🎨.

I have done a drag race with the SF90. Check it out. It is very fast but that V8 engine is not as good as the V12 in the Lambo!!

Your reactions says it all..& that it is worth that 560k.. The car has the sci-fi exotic looks, swing up doors, presence, V12 monster engine, sound, drama, electric hybrid tech, power regeneration, performance, under 10 sec 1/4 mile speed, good build, great interior & ergonomics, better storage utility than the Aventadors etc. Other exotic manufacturers would just slap a million 💰 /+ price on a similar car & claim it is a hypercar...

Is it worth 700k . Imo not at all. The base price for this car "Starts" at $608000. Just with a paint job it's already 630k. It still has the V12 but it's honestly overpriced for a car that's not special. It's not even a limited production car. Aventador base was around 300k they asked another +300k just for a battery. And wait did I just see the top speed was 199MPH? I mean nobody's gonna reach it but still it's quite the limit for a car's topspeed at this price tag.

Lamborghini quotes a top speed of 350 km/h. We made a mistake on the numbers.
1. Front = looks decent
2. Rear end = massive dissapointment, lookswise. And no big cool fixed spoiler? /smh

A new SF90 was very expensive. Over £500,000 if you ticked a few nice options and special paint.

SF90 all day, this car is from another dimension when you see it in person, faster and more compact (practical), cheaper. Only drawback is the lack of v12.
The SF90 is lovely and holding at around £350,000 in the UK, however it doesn't have the soundtrack of that V12 and it doesn't have the dihedral doors.

Which is better looking is a matter of subjective debate, but such price difference while remaining visibly slower is a bad purchase for me. I haven't had any supercars, so I'd guess the V8 sound of SF90 will suit me just fine.

The excuses people make because of one car having just better sound but overall being the worse purchase are... excuses and nothing more! It’s sad lamborghini used the Ferrari SF90 Stradale as a benchmark for the Revuelto yet in Carwow’s video it completely destroyed it!
Mind you the SF90 didn’t even have the AF package nor was it the SF90xx yet it was still lighter!!!!
And for anyone saying wait until the SVJ model comes out for the Revuelto I highly doubt it will even compete with Ferrari because by that time the SF90 replacement will already be unveiled.

If you try to actually be a car enthusiast, you'll see that revuelto is a much better supersports car, the thing literally got everything right that the sf90 got wrong from great driveability to comfort, looks, better reliabilty, better interior and build quality, more versatile and so on, it also does not sound like a vaccum cleaner.

Revuelto is overpriced trash. It's already obsolete and can't be beat older competitors. The lower class Ferrari 296 GTB performed better than the Revuelto against the SF90.
I totally disagree. The carbon monocoque is new technology.
There's nothing special about this car! It is THE worst new Lambo model ever made! It's absolutely hideous front and back, it has the same roofline, glass and wheelbase as the Aventador, the interior is stark with a sad looking dash. The front looks like a Corvette and the gaping side intakes don't suit the car. Then you have those tacky, god awful Y shaped daytime running lights at the front. Audi has ruined Lamborghini for good.
I agree. I think the Y lights in front and back look absolutely terrible. It’s like they wanted to go futuristic and it turned out very corny looks IMO. Without that it would probably look a lot better. Still overpriced though.
I totally concur and am happy to keep my SVJ which in my view looks 10x better in and out.

SF90 at least 200 000$ cheaper, older in its production cycle and still beats Revuelto in a straight line. So, no, not worth its price! Revuelto has an overpriced MRSP price!

I don't think it is all about speed. It is about which one is more fun to drive. I think the Lamborghini wins.
And the revuelto that was drag races against the sf90 wasn't fully run in
Overpriced garbage....ugly color/design, does not hit 200MPH, lacks the prestige of a race worthy, award winning Ferrari, and can be beaten by the new Corvette ZR1/Zora in top speed..... and at a third of the price. Who are you kidding? "Lambos for anyone who wants to be someone, Ferraris are for those people who are someone" !!!!!!
The Revuelto top speed is 350 km/h and the V12 is a masterpiece

They copied the SF90, kept two at the Lambo factory for more than two years and still made an inferior car!! And at the beginning of next year the replacement for the SF90 is coming out to beat the Revuelto even more than the SF90 already does! I take the SF90 any day!

You are totally missing the point. People will not refuse to buy the Revuelto just because it is slower than the SF90, instead people will be buying it because of the V12 plus the Lamborghini looks. Once you put a V12 into a car, people want it. Since you are such a Ferrari fanboy, same goes with the Purosangue, there is nothing like it on the market just because of the V12. That is the price you pay for, I already knew it would be slower than the SF90 because Ferrari chose to put in a V8 turbo instead. From a performance standpoint, of course a turbocharged engine will have more poke plus is lighter. But, it will never be as special as a V12. And that is precisely why the Revuelto are already sold out for 2 years. The SF90? Not so much, they can't move them, there are plenty of them lying around. If you want a SF90, you can pick up the phone tomorrow and have one immediately, yes it is that easy.

Mind you the SF90 Stradale used on Carwow’s video didn’t even have the AF package neither was it the SF90xx I’m curious to see how larger the gap widens between these two cars when the SF90 replacement comes out!!!
1/4 mile isnt the be and end all. Ive always said lambo looks great but doesnt drive great. i want an aventador but where is the 4 wheel drive 4 wheel steer and double clutch gearbox. Now lambo have answered the prayers. And chucked 1000hp along with it. Yes please. I want revuelto over sf90. V12 over v8. Revuelto looks better sounds better and i think is better
