    You've been busy - another track! 😀
    Do you compose in one go or gradually build up over several sessions here and there?

      I usually just play with different sounds, depending on mood and time, that can take days or hours. Once they all work together, ideally it's time to hit record before the idea fades into the abyss and start something new again. I always record in one go, whether it's using sequencers, arps or playing, I don't like to multitrack. For me anyhow, multitracking rarely sounds natural or organic, I would prefer a simpler, more basic track and less time as possible in a DAW other than a quick EQ and master.

      @@the_astro_garden You're not wrong about ideas fading away. Ancients believed that one "was' not a genius, but "had" a genius. And genius sometimes would bringeth the idea, but then genius would also taketh the idea away. I had lots of those. Dammit. 😄

      @@mack_solo yep, that’s when you just need to hit record! It may not be there tomorrow! I’m calling my next track ‘Ephemeral’ 😂

    What do you use for clock sync across everything?

    • @the_astro_garden
      @the_astro_garden  Před 16 dny +1

      Always have Abelton Live running in the background for a couple of reasons. It’s just super reliable and easy to clock everything and I can hit record at any point.

      @@the_astro_garden been trying to sync all my synths with MIDI clock from Cakewalk without much success. Was looking to buy a Midronome in the hopes I can get it all working. Hard to play across multiple synths with no clock sync.

    • @the_astro_garden
      @the_astro_garden  Před 16 dny

      @@AKDanMusicMan Yes that would be hard, maybe try the free version of Live, just to see if that can get things working? Bigwig is also quite popular. It helps if the synths have a midi thru, mix of midi and USB + a DAW for syncing makes life much easier.

    Are all of those hydrasynths?

    • @the_astro_garden
      @the_astro_garden  Před 23 dny

      The two keyboards and the desktop are Hydrasynths. Deluxe is dual engine, the rest are Behringer analog synths plus a Digitakt.
