From what I can tell this is asking about the same price you'd get a new Fleming 55 for, which is a bigger and globally adored semi displacement cruiser. Seems a tough sell
Well it looks feels little more modern then a Fleming for those who fancy that.
I think you could get a Selene 60 footer for around the same money
An absolutely fantastic boatbuilder who’s philosophy and design I have so much respect for. I’d have no concerns going anywhere with one of their boats. Great review as always, thank you
Very impressed, all because of the presentation and coverage. Many thanks!
Smashing boat. Hope they're doing the same with the 65'.
Cockwells have done a fantastic job, the 50 DS is an absolute dream boat, gorgeous. ❤️🇬🇧
That is a great boat, nice finishes and specification, and gives you a great feeling of confidence in the sea going capability of this boat. Great tour Alex thank you
A beautiful boat and practical. Also a great tour. Thank you Steve 😊.
This is the boat of boats.... it can trawl along, it can fly ahead... it is spacious and well laid out.... just the boat for Northern Europe... But the Verdict?? A Delphia 10 Sedan?? is that a code word for the Hardy?
Oops, sorry! Not sure how we missed that. The Delphia 10 is a very different proposition. Fancy a job proofing our vids?!
@@alexsmith3945 Definitely would!!
Should be nice to synchronise both engines. Hate the noise if they aren't.
Great tour!
I would love to see the DS65 on test.
AWESOME BOAT! First comment too. 😊😊😊
Love this boat. 🛥️
Cool boat. Looks a bit overweight in the running shots perhaps. Was there a second head in the accommodations? Perhaps I missed your tour of what head the two midships cabin use. Thanks for the tour, excellent as always.
Nice boat. just missing the signature Hardy rope fender.
Beautiful lines, however there are many other vessels that go further and are larger for the same price so it seems a bit of a hard sell for the money I'd imagine. 25 knots at 10L/nm is impressive though
Great review of a great boat.
I’d have the D11’s I’ve the D13’s. Other than that it’s great!
she looks like she rides with her nose quite high when seen from the chase boat. and with those davits and the tender on the "swim" platform it seems it isnt really a swim platform anymore. even after the tender is launched the recreational space it blocked by the davits.
So was there a second set of heads
She is a solid Lady of the Sea she is safe and comfortable. I think she could take most of what the sea can send her way.
1000 nautical miles at 7.5 knots excellent, but at 22 knots still 250 nautical miles its the same for 22 knots. Interesting ( I hope I got the figures right ). She reminds me of a older Lifeguard boat, for the RNLI.
She a sensible boat not a sunbathing boat at the bow. The salon is nicely set out, the galley is excellent, well planned with all the mod cons. Three cabins - master cabin, like the split heads, shower and separate toilet One double cabin, and one single that can be convert to a small double.
A practical boat.
It. Not she. Boats don't have pronouns
Overpriced and hand rails are way too low. inside helm is a joke.
*"helm stations"* today really suck actually clogging up crazy valuable space with worthless electronic junk. The "operator station" should be centerline with nothing more than a wheel for controlling movements of said vessel left or right and (ideally) a very nice compass also on the centerline. "Up and out of the way" if you will these massive vessels should be capable of fully autonomous operations by now at least for ingress and egress from the "launch" with maybe a single button for "spot lock" to hold position😊
Not for £2m
Is it me or is the video rather washed out and overexposed?
With Alex wearing black he drops into a homogenous background and without contrast or definition he looks like he’s wearing a sack. He isn’t I know, but the filming just looks poor.
Nice boat though
Edging, aka fiddles.
How dare that owner get the boat that he wanted with 3 cabins! Did he not call Alex ahead of time and ask him? Nost assuredly not! Insane. Next time, you must call Alex and get his opinion first. The sheer audacity.....having kids and wanting them with you..ridiculousness.
