How to make delicious porridge yam

    The most popular yam recipe from Nigeria, served as lunch or dinner in millions of Nigerian homes.
    INGREDIENTS:
    3KG of Yam
    1Cup of palm oil
    4 Balls of fresh tomatoes
    3 Balls of habanero pepper
    1 Teaspoon of powder pepper
    3 Pieces of smoked fish
    2 Seasoning cube
    Salt to taste
    1 Cup of sliced onions
    1 Cup of pumpkin leaf
    Serving: 4 persons
    Preparation time: 25 minutes.
    This is the everyday porridge you make at home but I tried improving it so it looks like the version you actually buy from fancy restaurants.
    Step 1
    Peel the yam and slice to any size of your choice and precooked and set aside.
    Step 2
    Set a clean pot on heat and add palm oil, allow to heat for 1 minute before adding one cup of sliced onions, store for 5 seconds.
    Step 3
    Add the tomato and fry for the next 5-7 minutes while stirring continuously to avoid burning, add your salt to taste and 2 seasoning cube.
    Step 4
    Add 1 cup of water allow to cook, add the yam and allow cooking for 15 minutes
    Step 5
    Add the precooked yam allow to cook for another 5 minutes enough while the water is not yet completely dried (about half cup left).
    Stir using a wooden turner, taste for salt and continue stirring till the water thickens. Add your fluted pumpkin and stir, serve and Enjoy.
