He wants it the way he wants it, and having to repeat yourself multiple times is frustrating. Much respect. It's HIS vision!
You people are oblivious. Firstly, the song is half of Twista's. (He performed it numerous times without Ye.) Secondly, IT'S NOT HIS VISION BECAUSE HE ISN'T THE DIRECTOR. Videos are still a form of filmmaking which is a director's medium. Ye stans are the most basic, blinded people. I'm a fan of his too, but he literally says "no" like a freaking baby at some point. Haha. If this an actor started doing this type of shit on a set -- even an A lister -- nobody would feel inclined to work with them again. There's an implicit level of trust you're supposed to have for a director, which most performers/writers have.
@@jamk2668 bro its HIS video, u actin like artist dont get creative control
I think it worked out better that he was standing up because twista was already sitting down . The transition looked better that way. But everything else was straight it is his video
@@jamk2668 I bet the director preferred to have a creative, detail-oriented artist with good taste to work with rather than the kind of passive artist who is less likely to make something memorable
And this is why the quality of his work stands the test of time. Because he's unafraid to vocalise exactly how he wants things to be done. It's a key skill
“Out of Control” . This shit happens everywhere on every set, whether it be music videos, movies, or even practicing for plays. Hell of a overstatement .
"spirals out of control" is a terrible headline for this clip. very misleading.

I feel he went down as one of the best rappers after late registration.. He could have retired right then
@@igot5onit423 people been saying this he could have just retired after graduation or sum but naw he continued
Well he copies too. Even Michael Jackson was a compilation of multiple artist he looked up to so stop it. MJ has some songs with Marvin Gaye vibes then James brown and some rap
Look up genius in a dictionary- you can find one in a place they call a library
Literally just spoke his mind and kept composure when dude tried to get smart. This didnt spiral out of control lol
It was so weird of dude to talk to the talent that way..dude must be real entitled to TRY speaking up like that.
I don’t think he was out of place .. he was just assertive and people aren’t used to that.
When Christian Bale or Daniel Day Lewis does this, TIME will frame it as a superior artist absolutely zoning into their craft. When Kanye does it, because focus/zoning in apparently can only be something that certain humans of certain physical characteristics can do, he’s being out of control. The same thing happens when female tennis players display the same level of passion as male players do. The double standard is just heartbreaking
I’m slapping the next person who disrespects Kanye west in front of me 🤦🏾♂️😂😂 I’m tired of the disrespect

Do people really think everything is always organised and planned to a tee? Or, that things aren't always changing due to the number of moving parts. Or... that you don't need to be persistent to get what you want?
Yup…. Just wasted 3 minutes of my life…nothing to see here just a man that’s passionate about his music.

"He's SPIRALING OUT OF CONTROL!!! OMG RUN!!! Scary!!" 🙄
I see nothing but an artist in the process of creating. Kanye knows what he wants. He's the best at what he does for a reason. There's always a method the madness.
I would’ve snapped on the guy that said “I just heard the explanation”, that was a roundabout way of telling Kanye to stfu & I would’ve flipped
Theres nothing wrong with how he handled things! When it comes to your vision you gotta come hard to get what you see when people aren't on board.
0:45 Kanye asked in a kind way and dude responded all rude.
"yea i just heard the explanation literally" bro woulda been fired on the spot fwm
Exactly that ish triggered tf outta me and the sad thing is if he would have had him fired then they would have made Kanye out to be the bad guy. Kanye was even smiling when he was talking to him and the guy was still an asshole
Very Racist Headline. The Directors didn’t respect his time and money and he had to set them straight. Anytime a Black man voiced his concerns it’s labeled as chaotic.
The thing that most civilians here don't understand is that Ye isn't directing the music video. It's not his vision once someone else begins directing it. He's not in any position to make demands like this. Imagine someone doing this shit to a legendary music video director like Mark Romanek. If an actor as big as Leo or Pitt started insisting on certain pieces for the art department -- especially in this manner -- they would seem loony. The song was half of Twista's anyway. This has less to do with Ye being a creative force and has more to do with him being borderline autistic...in addition to not fully understanding this process. This is why the guy felt obligated to make three Jesus Walks videos and the last one was by far the worst. This is also why the guy ended up spending 30 grand of his own money on the Through The Wire video when I could have made the exact same product for no more than 4 grand back in 2004.
@@jamk2668 lol not his vision. He’s the one who came up with the concept and art direction and funding it. The Director had to follow the guidelines of the producer that being West. If you pay someone to do your house and they start free styling or scaling back from what you
Paid for are you going to sit back and say nothing like you are suggesting here. Come the hell on lol. He made more videos so he could open more doors for his boys like he always does. How is he not informed of how things work when he directs his own music videos from the start and an award winning art student.
nah but what he said at 0:50 was a bar FORREAL
Of all the footage in the documentary, this channel chooses a creative process moment and disparaging title 👏🏿 thanks mainstream media…
I couldn’t be more confused at why they think things spiraled out of control. This is what it is to be in a fast paced creative profession. It can be stressful but it made Kanye into a billionaire.
slow jamz is going down as one of the best hip hop songs in history...but aside from that, could you imagine someone telling kanye what to do like that nowadays? they had no clue who they were talking to hahaha
This video is a prime example of why the industry and media acted and still act as if Kanye is problematic.
He asserts his thoughts at times where many artists let a "Employee & Employer" setting take place, but Kanye puts himself as an equal or speaks out on creative control, which most directors hate.
Kanye is similar to how Pac was, he speaks his mind regardless and the Jeen-yuhs docu shows that its not a bad thing, he likely wouldnt have even became a rapper nor even git the chance to drop "College Dropout" without his mentality of Drive and Persistence.
He took his life into his own hands, made himself as an artist, and never took no for an answer and mever settled for less.
While I dont agree with everything the dude has said or done by far, his drive was/is admirable and inspiring and shows what persistence can achieve!
Why the heck would Coodie and Chike give this to Time? Only bad things could have come out of this. Literally helping the Anti Kanye narrative that these people sell daily.
It might make him look like a Diva, but it also shows how little control you have over your own art and creativity in this business.
Next time they'll negotiate the transaction better. Perhaps think larger and set up an entire deal the Ye way-- no compromise of vision #TrueCreativeControl #NotEasyButPossible #Forgiveness
This is kanye trying to get the directors to understand that he has a vision, and he wants it a certain way. This is the first album no one is taking kanye serious as if they believe he knows what he is doing. Terrible headline but hey clickbait. You got us
Lol. You hire a director for *his* vision. If he wanted to convey a vision, he should have directed it himself. It shows lack of understanding he has for the creative process.

I love how particular he is about his creative process
His enemies been busy since day 1.
If Quentin Tarantino acts this way is he considered passionate or out of Control?
Him and Beyoncé have the same energy when people don’t listen the first time
Makes me think that maybe why people in that atmosphere of success find themselves in the same places and spaces.
Kanye: (trying to assert creative control)
Headlines: 'sPiRal oUt oF coNtROl'
I absolutely love that because he is visionary, it is his video, and he wants it exactly the way he wants it, as a creative. Y'all need to let him do that. I absolutely love the way he expressed himself here and the way he stood his ground on how he wanted his video to be. It's his video and he knows how he wants it to be, he knows how he sees the vision for it. Point Blank and a period. I absolutely love the way he handled himself here. He was being very firm not disrespectful and I love the way he was doing it.
This is class for all artist and people in general. You don't see artist taking control of their work, because most of them have already been bought. If you don't have an understanding of who you are and what you bring to the table, how do you expect anyone else too? As you can see from the very beginning, Ye has taken the initiative to be in control of his destiny, even though God is the overseer. There is still room for him to grow, as there is for all of us, but, you cant deny where his will and ambition has taken him. People with backbone don't have to explain who they are, it speaks in volume
Sheesh, they went thru some 💩 to get this music video shot!! I love how Kanye wasn’t backing down on his vision, seem like he had a lot of opposition. Also, was that some sort of cop that shut the shoot down at the end?
Ye has a vision no others see.

This kind of thing happens on many sets. Yes. But it usually isn't the star of the production having such a hard time getting crew and staffers to follow instructions.
They didn’t like he was speaking his mind and had a vision
Why they all so entitled when HE'S THE ARTIST. Reaching a deadline wouldn't be a problem if you listened to him and how he wants his video😂
Umm im waiting for the spiral out of control part'
Who tf gonna tell Kanye, “I already heard the explanation” that’s why he’s HIM and YE IS YE
This is one of my favorite collaborations with Kanye as the feature. This song just gives it the good old “college dropout” vibe and the Twista verse and Kanye verse goes hard and the Jamie Foxx vocals just adds spice🔥🔥🔥 love slow jamz
"I heard the explanation literally" people have gotten smacked for less.
Watched a Beyonce documentary and remembered how convicted she was about her work. Well baby if this is spiraling they should be grateful it's not Bey sitting they ass down and sonning them on another level. Then remember before then it was her Dad. Ain't nobody playing out here about their vision when they are serious. She PERFECTS every single detail until she is satisfied and will put the team to task. Jay just sitting in the cut like😲👀 Y'all alright umm y'all need anything😭😭😭😭😭
A working set can be insane. On professional ones, there are at least 10/20 people running around this little room all doing different jobs.
Video shoot gets "out of control" because the artist wants the video how he wants it lol
I speak Gemini. He wanted it how he wanted it. He produced the song 🤷🏾♂️
He was mostly dedicated, ambitious, disciplined, and visionaried
Terrible clickbait! I was expecting to see Kanye spazzing on someone and all I see is Kanye trying to get his vision for the video exactly how he wanted it while also being pretty respectful to the people who were being smart asses to him😒 literally nothing went wrong here. I’m sure this happens on every video shoot, every movie, etc.
This should’ve been in the documentary
How is this spiraling out of control? He is simply stating what he wants.

I never thought Kanye then would turn out like he has nowadays
see if you listened to Ye the 1st time this wouldn't of happened
yo, is that jim jones next to kanye in the thumbnail?! he looks so different young without a full beard. kanye, on the other hand, hasn’t changed much since then.
I understand exactly what he's feeling and any type of department director, creative or team manager will. When people don't SEE AND FEEL your vision or don't really care about their job, they won't come through the way you need them to EVEN if your paying them. You have to repeat yourself over and over again to get it in their head because they're just not willing to put the effort in to understand. I think the best way to make people understand is get them to really really see and feel the vision as best you can before putting them in there to create and manage them. But how Kanye is acting isn't wrong. It's a person who believes 10000% in their creativity and vision and wants it to come to life and ppl dont do their jobs right. that's all.
the title is just to get us to watch the video

Screenshot this video titled "spirals out of control"... then, when you want a portrayal of how the media lie on certain people (or races), show the image. In the clip he basically said, "i told this lady I want xyz, 24 hours ago but she failed".
