Metal Gear Survive showed us than a lot of people who worked on the old silent hill games are still at Konami, Even Mashiro ito (the monster designer. ) , maybe after Survive, they will start to work on another silent hill with the fox engine, using old ideas from Silent Hills.
Even then, Death Stranding will probably use some element of Silent Hills.

the thing that pissed me about harry not being the main lead in the first SH movie was because the director implied that a father wouldnt go to such lentgs to find his child but a mother would, which is just so sexist

@@eq4611 It's true. The director originally didn't want any men in the movie at all. It was the film company that was funding the movie that made him put at least a couple male actors in the movie, so they got Sean Bean (Can''t remember where the interview I read that came from it was so long ago, otherwise I would source it for you). His excuse for why he didn't want Harry to be the main protagonist was that Harry acted like a mother in the game so the role was better suited to a woman. It was in the making of the film documentary that I'm pretty sure is on the original DVD release. Can probably find it on youtube at this point.
You are without a doubt the most criminally underrated CZcamsr. You've a taken a series, and gone through every single detail and theory with passion, and it really shows in these videos. From one Silent Hill fan to another, thank you. I can't imagine how long these took to make, but you deserve way more subs for the work you've put in, so I'm adding +1 to that counter my man.

Tbh the first Silent Hill movie wasnt even that bad as people make it out to be. Yes, it did not follow the game directly, but the CGI was really good and i really liked how they brought Silent Hill alive. But the second movie was really badly done

I played P.T. without knowing what it was. I just saw this free game on PSN and thought it looked interesting. I haven’t played anything as terrifying as it since. I was so excited for Hideo Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro to come together and make an amazing game. Then when It got canceled, it was such a disappointment... Konami... why?
I never played PT but I was so excited for Silent Hills. When it was cancelled it bothered me more then it probably should have but Silent Hill was so unique and there's no games like them to fill the void.
As I heard, and I don’t know if it’s true, they never planned to release Silent Hills. That there’s no such game in the making, it’s a goodbye piece of Hideo Kojima to Konami. I watched a CZcams video about it and I as am easily to persuade, I believed it, I don’t want to because I love this franchise so much and I don’t want it to end, but there’s a lot of hard facts and evidence about it.

It really makes me happy to see that there is a silent Hill community, where I can find link indeed people who enjoy this game series as much as me.. the stories involved in these games are so interesting to me, the whole psychological aspect.. then you add in the soundtrack, man it's my favorite game series of all time

You should check him out!!He is Fire!!!. :) He is not getting anywhere with his works,while he should be known all around games by now. He is terrific....Sad that no matter how hard he tries people aren't checking anyone's work out anymore 😥😥 . His name is Gabriel and his channel called G Lander 2018...probably I am his only fan...

Its a shame it left us with so many unanswered questions. The radio moments like, "His six-year-old daughter had the good sense to hide in the bathroom, but reports suggest he lured her out by telling her it was just a game". It reminds me of God Told Me To. Plus, "You know what to do, now's the time, DO IT!" reminds me of Session 9.

After 5 years of not looking at the games at all I'm now going to play through the main series. Thank you for all your hard work and research. amazing series of videos friend, as someone who missed playing these when they came out but was always intrigued by the story its been great to watch them all.
The entire series of Silent Hill and the history of each game has become one of my favorite go to video sets for me to watch and listen to while at work. Such great details and things from each part of the series that just brings it all back to life like it's new again. Amazing videos and amazing work put into making all of them!
The "gap" in the door, being "a separate reality" IS the hallway itself. Seeing as when one finally leaves via answering the phone call, the real trailer plays. Seeing the player "in front" Of themselves. but it isn't "them" exactly. Also...17:00 is amazing!!! Hahahahaha!! Gods, that got me, took me so off guard!!! That's one of the best wtf SH endings I'd ever seen!! Who'd a thunk it, eh? From that game too, like wow.

Always nice to see things uploaded about my favorite game series. I liked the first Silent Hill movie, but not the second. I still have it just to be part of the collection. It was a disappointment, but it wasn't Highlander 2 movie disavowal level. LOL

Just finished watching this series you made. I want to say it is great work and I learned a lot. I love the editing and presentation. I also appreciate learning about the other SH games that I didn't play (everything after 4). The last to games (Downpour and especially Shattered Memories) have really good twists at the end.

I just binged this series of yours and I really appreciate all the work you put into explaining practically every aspect. I've known about Silent Hill since I was a kid, my first consol being a PS2, but I never played every game nor won all the possible endings let alone even knew there was comics. I still wish to this day that PT wasn't canceled. You can really get a vibe from the trailer and somewhat teaser/demo that it had a lot of potential. I'll hold on to some hope it may be picked back up someday. Also, I'll admit that I was kinda confused by your uploads. Like this one was uploaded in 2017 but two vids back another was uploaded in 2019. Still, I was able to follow along in order 👌
I once went to Singapore on vacation and there was a MASSIVE mall with an amazing arcade. There was a Silent Hill Arcade Machine and I spent hours with one of the regulars getting all the endings. We’re still friends to this day
I ...wow...im utterly speechless! you have a fantastic way with words and I was hooked on each one! silent hill has been my life since 1999..when I watched my dad play the first game. it's been embedded deep in my heart since then..and I go there when I need to escape. it has such a special meaning to me and I have a deep bond and love for all the characters and storylines. the ending of your video was beautiful..we will meet. when the fog recedes and the silence falls ♥fantastic...I'm so happy to have found someone else who so dearly loves the series as much as I do ♥

The stories of Silent Hill are one of those things that will never truly die or fade away, just like Hamlet or HP Lovecraft's works. Even if Konami goes down and the rights to tell the stories are lost, what the stories gave us and mean to us will live on. Even long after we are all gone, the inspiration and influence of Silent Hill will last forever, it left a permanent mark on the human experience for all of us who found that special place...

I genuinely don't understand why they canceled PT. It was a guaranteed success. It was one of the few times they could have been 100% sure that the game would gave been successful for their company and they dropped it.
thank you for this series, never played a game of the series outside from P.T and origins that I randomly picked up on PSP, always felt like I was missing out and I definitely still do. Although Silent Hills would have been a great introduction to the series, hopefully the series will be brought back in some way or an other.

Christy was actually the original name of Dahlia, according to the original script of the game. Christabella in a way was reviving the old antagonist name, Christy. Visage: Lucy Chapter would have been mentioned in this video, due its Easter Egg of SH4, but I think this video came before that chapter was created. Visage's two chapters are curiously two separate realities confined to one house. Supposedly, there are two more chapters to be created. For some reason, I get 7th guest/11th hour vibes from the Delores chapter, which is horror game that predates Silent Hill.

Please people stop claiming Death Stranding will be Silent Hills. It ain't going to happen, Kojima Productions has moved on and want to make Death Stranding an action game. Stop hyping a game that it's not going to be or else you all end up being disappointed. Have you people learn nothing from other over hyped games like No Man's Sky, Aliens: Colonial Marines, etc. I am starting to think you all have not which is why you all keep disappointing yourselves with games that get too much hype. I wish Silent Hills was finish in development and got release, since I finished P.T. Looking at how the video game industry has become now without the release of Silent Hills has been depressing with micro transactions, loot boxes, season passes, DLC planned before a release of a paid game, etc. I mean seriously it sucks we have an industry that can't give something refreshing like Silent Hills, but is able to release Call of Duty on a yearly basis. Well hopefully Death Stranding can give us a refreshing take on the action genre, because in my opinion, the genre has already been over saturated in the video game market.
