A friendly question, the fm mod number 9 configuration, if you change it to ff, it will increase your modulation, that is, you will be able to listen to stations that are a little lower or quieter...

If you’re going to use an amp you could raise your modulation lower your modulation. There are 53 different items.

The disclaimer about writing down your factory settings down before making changes should've been at the beginning of the video. Other than that, very informative video. I am new the cb radio and still learning. I just tuned my firestik antenna with an SWR meter and I instantly have better reception.

  • @catnappassmo

What were your original Factory settings before you changed those settings? Some dummy only wrote down the 4W and 8W settings (13 and 14). After changing to your recommended settings I'm only dead keying 2W and only swing about 6W. My web security kicks me out of the Anytone website claiming there's a Trojan associated with the site .Any help would be appreciated. Very informative video BTW. Not much info out there on these radios.

After getting your comment, I went and looked for that piece of paper with the default settings, but can't find it anywhere. When I do I will let you know. Maybe join the Anytone AT-500M Facebook page and someone there could help?

I couldn’t find the information on the Facebook page after joining the group. Maybe an older post that’s been deleted or something? What’s throwing me off is the fact that I get the same reading on a dummy load or live antenna.

Ready to go! Hold AM/FM button down and turn radio on at same time. Select band "D" and that would be the regular CB band.

Thanks, I just got mine and did the mods. Do you know of a noise canceling microphone like the Astatic or Road King that will work for this radio? I know you can get them in a 6 pin, just don't know if they would work or which one it would take. ie Cobra or President
