Wow is all I have to say. How anyone can but be awe struck by that sight and sound is beyond me. Hand made! Not a computer chip in sight! What we WERE able to do!!!
Instead of catching up with a million jobs to do around home I came in for a quick coffee and a glance at you tube steam trains. That was an hour ago, Best decision I've made all morning what a Great video !!!
Denis May haha cheers Denis
IffcsamI had more than a giggle watching some of these. Nothing like the sound of Steam in full flight. Consider another Mad Aussie subscribed. Cheers from Sunny North Queensland. Denis.
What a sight, and what a sound, and no diesel on the back either. Beautiful
I may not be a train enthusiast, but that is one beautiful piece of machinery.
Wonderful to see a steamer in full flight at speed and with no stinking deisel anywhere in sight wonderful
King Edward I died in 1307 and although a king, he could not fly. Nevertheless a great video of a steam train. Thanks for waiting to catch the event to share with us.
Awesome video, shows the beauty and power of this King Locomotive, doing what it was built to do, absolutely brilliant!
I can remember being allowed to stand on the footplate of King Edward 1 when it was in service. That happened at Cardiff General Station (Now renamed Cardiff Central Station). I was allowed to do so as I had won a competition via Hornby. The prize was a tour of the engine sheds and as I said to stand on the footplat of this wonder locomotive, I also blew the whistle. I was about 8 yrs old at the time
Awesome video, and unforgettable memories of our childhood, super B steam engines of great British railways.
Can't get the smile off my face...
Considering the nasty world we are forced to live in, it is a pleasure to be able to go back to a more stable time and watch these beautiful trains in action all over the world and appreciate they were the high tech offerings of their day. I never saw a steam powered locomotive I didn't like!!!!
Just beautiful!
Excellent Footage Mate 5 stars
What a spectacular sight! :-)
What footage....brilliant...well done!
Wonderful shot! it really captures the majesty of steam trains!
Very impressive and an excellent angle.
Wow Sam.. Nearly 35,000 views!! That's really impressive, and if anything I'm not surprised, 6024 was really going for it through there, with some great whistling:) can't wait to see her back on the mainline. -Henry!
thats what a King is built for

Yeh im gonna look for one, well definitely get one sometime soon, ready for next year. My Uncle's told me to go HD and to be honest, im happy with the quality I'm getting at the moment. Just need a tripod to hopefully keep things still

Powerful 🔜🔜🚂🚂🚂🚂🚂🔜🔜🔜🔜🔜🔜
I presume that King Edward I is not allowed to enter Scotland or Wales
@itfcsam. Sam - you can pick-up a tripod for a very reasonable price. I've had mine for 6 months or so and have not regrets whatsoever and use it whenever I can.
only 11 coaches for a king - she can do way more!
if it is 6024 why the 473?
Go for the very best you can afford, the likes of Manfrotto with speperate video head. Not cheap but worth it. Cheers.
Why is there always a drunk on the end of the platform??
Yeah I know!! Cheers, yeah pretty good whistling off the King. Yeah when's it back?
Keynsham; the place name that every British teenager in the 1960ies could spell correctly! Regretfully now, I never considered train spotting there.
Thanks! just need a tripod, i think that will stop the shaking!
Cheers Yup :)
Great shot - 6024 really being pressed hard at speed...... very impressive....…☁☁☁⁘⁙☁☁⁙..☁……Hᴜɢʜ….TU…..ツ
