(I'm sorry I have to ask, why can't you move the lava backwards so it doesn't spill over and the water would be the one flowing against the final lava flow block?)
If you mean switching which way it flows, liquids flow both ways if a better path is found
if you mean reversing the lava, the water would be too fast and turn the next block/source into cobble/obsidian
if you mean having the water above the crystal, it would again freeze the lava block next to the crystal because it is so much faster
although perhaps we have missed stuff, so who knows, maybe there is a very obvious solution :D

Hopper loops + comparators still work, i bet there is a Mathematical rhythm where one loop is set to 4hoppers, the next 6hoppers, and ever death you alternate. Not the theoretical best system but in the mean time probably useful

I think that the 1.7 animations mod is a good enough solve, but if you want to go on the more redstone side of things, you should test the race start/end and race checkpoint, since they are not disabled on private islands, so I'm guessing they work on garden too.

I'm pretty sure you've already tried, but have you perhaps thought to use armor stands as a replacement for mobs with the bobbing technique?

@@wheatontop I fail to understand what prevents you from moving the lava a bit further so it goes to the edge but cannot flow out ? the cobblestone would still generate & even with lag the lava won't break that torch

Hey I wanted to ask what did you use to animate the intro, I have tried it my self but never managed to get sb texturepack items into blender.
use a plugin called MCprep- it is very easy to use for importation

Doesn’t the lava have like a 4 block spread radius so if you extend the lava part of it and even if the sever bugs out the lava can’t reach it

For cobble to be able to generate lava needs to come in direct contact with water

This video was very well made, congrats! But I wanna understand a few things. First of, how were you going to use the trapdoor for the latch when the "crouching beneath a closed trapdoor" feature was introduced in newer versions and Hypixel runs on 1.8? And also, wdym you "hadn't considered running on a newer version" when you needed to run a newer version to be able to crouch beneath the trapdoor? I'm very confused by all of this. Great video anyway, was a blast watching through it!
o/, this is more of a technicality/where I recorded the clips for the video part. in reality you would kind of just "phase" through the trapdoor instead of crouching below it, however since I recorded most of the clips in a 1.19 world- it came out a bit off I suppose.
so tldr: farm building was done in 1.8, clip recording was done in 1.19 months later
Man if you took you 300 hours to make a farm you need to rethink your brain capacity

I dant play skyblock but I think there are mechanic in minecraft that makes lava stop after 2 or 3 blocks like the waters 8 blocks hope that can solve the problem if you place the lava further
if we place lava further the lava next to the crystal would break bcus water is so much faster- good idea though!
So in conclusion: If you wouldn't use a Dedalus nor a Funghi Cutter but for example a wheat hoe, the very first trap door latch system would work? Yes the downside are way less drops, but it might be a little better with mushroom V on it for farming + mushroom cow. This should then work, shouldn't it? The downside may be lower drops but without having to change facing or something else that may cost time and/or may lead to "wrong" farming. So it is more reliable?
if your question is "can this be used for other crops" then yes absolutely, or alternatively you can use a mathematical hoe and mushrooms to farm for max farming wisdom
heres what ive got
use flowing water to push the player to the right thing. make it so it freezes the water that pushed them, so next time they take the right route. Then theres just the problem of melting the ice only once you take the other path.
Passing through water is very slow without depth stride, and you can not have depth strider with frost walker
@@HarpanW don't make a large water stream. You only need a single block of it to make the difference. Just have two paths, one where that single block trailing water pushes you towards the left and the other where you keep going straight without it.
@@nexinex6049 yeah this is a good idea in theory and that’s why we have tried to build up variations of this exact setup multiple times, but we have gotten none to work.

honestly if it's reliably every half hour more or less, one redstone dust and a stick every half hour is maybe kinda cheap i think? even if you have to check in every half hour instead of getting to go nonstop
yea that's the thing its not, sometimes it breaks twice a minute, and sometimes it runs for hours
this is a decent argument but since then we've actually found a 100% reliable 2key latch, might release at some point to kind of "finish off" this story! :D
What if we make a simple script to do this last, i mean just record it and form a loop and make the script handle you keyboard and mouse? Is this valid? 🤔 U can use python gui for that, pls let me know your thoughts about this
