Look at the irony, Mike Malone was part of the coaching staff of Mark Jackson Warriors. Jackson had Malone fired in the main part because Malone was gaining respect in the locker room since Malone was the one writing up plays. Jackson did not even have Jokic in his top 5 picks for MVP..now Malone is an NBA-winning coach, and Jokic is a two-time MVP, finals MVP and NBA champion.

Three former Brooklyn players helped win Micheal Malone from Queens NY a championship. Definitely proud of them as a Nets fan. I watched Bruce Brown develop, DeAndre Jordan struggle and Jeff Green re-establish himself as a top role player on a winner.
Truly Mike is the best coach to have been there to win the first championship for denver. This was an incredible run for the nuggets as a team, so, I'd make the comparison to the chiefs in the NFL, I think the nuggets can be like that in the NBA, in other words a dynasty. They're certainly a very young team, and jokic unless he gets injured or something should stay a dominant player for a long long time, at least another 6 to 8 years. I appreciate about jokic that after winning a championship he gave a hug to everyone on the heat team before he celebrated with his team that's the height of sportsmanship. My dad is from Colorado, he grew up there, and he never was a big nuggets fan, they started as a team around when he left for college in the late 60s as an aba team. But, this team my dad really was impressed by especially jokic. Denver has won a bunch of championships, I think now it's 7, because the broncos and avalanche both won three, and obviously the nuggets this is their first one. Obviously when denver had Melo, the fans were all probably expected a championship or a dynasty, sadly that never happened, but as they say, good things come to those who wait.

@@KSharp2 the only times it seemed like the refs were trying to influence the game was when they randomly gave Jimmy butler like 14 free throw attempts all in the last 3 minutes of game 5. Other than that; it was a very fair matchup
I know as a head coach you’re supposed to say this, but this might be the first time in a longtime a coach isn’t bullshitting when he says they could become a dynasty. They’ve got a young core that’s almost completely locked down on paper for the next few years, I think the league is too balanced these days for repeats or three-peats but I could easily see this nuggets team stacking a couple more rings over the next 3/5 years
