I think it’s great that Brooke is doing so well. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a personal mentor. All you need, in addition, would be a work ethic. AND YOU WILL SUCCEED. A lot…A LOT…of incredible artists don’t succeed because they have no mentor, and life pushes them on. Of course you’ve had to teach yourself, as you’ve shared with us, and that took you back, what, six years? And the technology now makes so much more possible. It would be nice to run to someone, who has the skills and knowledge with a vested interest in you, to ask, “NOW WHAT?” But most artists don’t. Most people don’t. Thanks for helping Brooke. Usually most have to battle with no support and family’s indifference. Imagine the great work that will never be realized. Brooke took a courageous first step, and that’s pretty phenomenal in itself! Enjoy the journey, not simply the destination.

I'm amazed. It is so surreal to someone succeed as an artist so quickly. Do you really think that you can make a living as an artist based on the quality of your work and just putting yourself out there? I just can't believe it. Am I missing something here?
