Nice to win bonus n shit but my whole team full buys on bonus
My teammates always buy only ghost after winning pistol
how do yk if it’s bonus round

Lets use Team A and Team B
Team A wins pistol round, so they have smgs and snipers(and maybe sheriffs) on round 2
On round 2, Team B will usually be ecoing(unless they force) and will have pistols or just be full saving
More often then not, team B will lose round 2, but after saving will have enough to buy on round 3
On round 3, Team A will have smgs and snipers while Team B has rifles. This is the bonus round for Team A. Because they have worse guns, the goal for them is to deal a lot of damage and severely impact the economy of Team B. Team B’s goal is to try and have as many people alive as possible by the time they(usually) win to prevent as little damage as possible.
On the off chance Team A wins bonus(spectre run and gun, sheriff one taps, and marshal or shotgun outplays are usually the main way of winning this round) and is up 3-0 with much better eco, Team B is basically cooked. It’ll take 2 more rounds(4-0) before they get another shot at buying, and by then Team A has enough money to keep buying for at least 3 rounds if they keep losing
To answer your question, round 3/15 is usually the bonus if a team is up 2-0

@@cadenc8799 bonusing refer to not buying anything after win, just carrying the gun from last round. Which mean generally when you win 2nd round
as an iron/bronze player my team doesnt know the concept of save or rifle round and they just buy whatever gun they can afford that round 😭😭

i force on bonus mainly bc im a cs player and if we win the bonus it can set us up nice for the game so i just force and if we lose ill buy judge or bucky next round

General rule of thumb I follow:
If you have spectres / stingers take short range fights. If you have sheriffs / marshals etc take long range fights.

I wouldn't take super long range fights with sheriff, I'd take more sneaky angles in the mid range where i can catch someone off guard by peeking with a timing
You play an close range off angle or a mid range on/off angle with a sherrif
Also i think feeding kills and ult orbs to the person with the most valuable ult is a great idea (they do this in vct)
This idea is really good when you're teammates are reliable , but probably not ideal for solo queue

I watched in the VCT, one of the team buy vandal / phantom after winning the pistol round, and buy util / armor depends on the usage of the utility in the previous round.
So that the chance of winning the 2nd round will be much higher, and you won't be outgunned in the bonus round.
So i tried it in my comp games, and got an instant 4k at the 2nd round.

Yep, usually someone who has a ghost or a sheriff plays with ya so they can pick up the gun if you die

I saw tenz doing this trick where you buy stinger/marshal half shield on 2nd round. Then you buy half armour vandal in 3rd, and then you can buy again 4th half armour vandal. This is especially good on Jett because if you lose 4th you should have knives for 5th unless you’re playing ass
Going with a bulldog and full shield is the best option
Slept on I got the same recommendation from CZcams and I’ve been buying round 2 if we win and it’s very effective
Full shield does nothing against vandals and barely anything against phantom.

Well in my case if i won the pistol round , i directly buy the vandal/phantom with light shield instead of spectre or bulldog sometimes in the second round which gives us high chance to win that round too and thus carry the rifle in the next rounds just buy the heavy shield .
Man one of my favorite cheap plays as clove is buy a stinger and meddle, throw it into a smoke that attackers are waiting behind and just pray into it or push in myself. The amount of random double kills I’ve gotten is astounding (yes I’m in gold)

When u win the first round the next round is the full buy round and the round after that all the enmies have vandals and phnatoms and good weapons and we have saved spectres and bulldogs and stuff
Imma buy a guardian every round except the gun round, in the gun round ghost is pick, and sometimes I choose OP as the last weapon, but only if I have a guardian lying next to me
I usually just buy a bucky and either a ghost or Sherriff and go with that because I am best in close range but don't want to be caught lacking when someone goes for potshots.
You see here, I'm in bronze and people like me care less for guns, just full buy every round, really get me into learning the weapons I have, all skills, full armour and it leaves me with whatever weapon i now need ti learn (despise snipers and machine guns though)
"Bonus" rounds are just an excuse to throw. Several players should buy up and the round should be played to win. You usually have just as much money as the enemy, so why throw it away with SMGs and pistols?
No if you buy and lose the bonus as it expected you will break your economy the rest of the rounds...

Guys just get 2 people to buy odin for 2 other teamates so they can buy full shields and util. Place one on each site and mow down the pistol users ❤❤❤never losing another buy or bonus.

as far as baselines go, this is middling. most of the "competitive" strats are middling, but when the majority of pro players are just talented actors and not actually the best of the best, you can't expect the best strategies to be well known.
what it all boils down to is recognizing circumstances and choosing appropriate strategies on the fly. it's nice to have a baseline to default to (and i use the true meaning of "default" here, not the valorant definition. idk why or who chose to change valorant's "default" to a different meaning than the actual term, but oh well. a good chunk of a generation is going to totally misunderstand a word belonging to a core pillar of logic. holy shit that's one hell of a digression for a youtube short comment), but those are just to start a match. the win/loss of each round goes into determining which strategy for the current round is best. just going with the same plan every game is how you lose (ESPECIALLY in a professional scene where your play is published for others to see and you play the same people multiple times). i can't tell you how many times i've been ordered by a random teammate to use an outdated and well known agent stratagem (there are times where they insist i do it even after the enemy has already shown their ability to counter it).
i still have more to say, but i've rambled too much already and i really don't want to go through and choose what to delete, so i'm ending my rant here.
i'm not a pro player (shit, i'm bronze 3 peak), but i am a veteran and i am proud of my study of tactics and strategy.

I’ve realized that specters suck bc if you wanna play close use stinger and if u want to fight medium to long use marshal as they both have lower ttk which makes them more effective on bonus
spectre still has a consideration though, it has a good balance of higher ammo + ability to spray
so in fast paced multi enemy situations, you will be able to run multiple mini duels AND mitigate the punishment for missing
@@NonJohns for 1600 credits its still worse than both as if you hit your shots with stinger and marshal you can still easily get 2-3 without reloads for 2/3rds of the price and way better econ which means more utility to play around or more armor. this plus the TTK being way lower allowing easier kills on full bought enemies just kind of makes the spectre worse and worse the higher elo you go
@@NonJohns or even on movement agents like neon and raze a bucky can be really strong on defense
Nobody wants to stack on defense
keep trying to call it anyways, eventually it will work and you’ll get a free round because nobody excepts a five stack below ascendant
