Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is an action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on 26 October 2004 for PlayStation 2, and on 7 June 2005 for Microsoft Windows and Xbox. The game takes place in 1992 within the state of San Andreas, which is based on sections of California and Nevada. It comprises three major fictional cities: Los Santos corresponds to Los Angeles, San Fierro corresponds to San Francisco, and Las Venturas corresponds to Las Vegas. The environments around these cities are also based on settings within the Southwestern region of the United States. Players can drive up the half-mile (800 m) tall Mount Chiliad (based on Mount Diablo), parachute from various peaks and skyscrapers, and visit 12 rural towns and villages located in five counties: Red County, Flint County, Bone County, Tierra Robada, and Whetstone. Other notable destinations include Sherman Dam (based on the Hoover Dam), a large secret military base called Area 69 (based on Area 51), a large satellite dish (based on a dish from the Very Large Array), Vinewood (based on Hollywood) and the Vinewood sign (based on the Hollywood sign) which is located in Mulholland, and many other geographical features. San Andreas is 13.9 square miles (36 square kilometres), almost four times as large as Vice City and five times as large as the Grand Theft Auto III rendition of Liberty City. The three cities are linked by numerous highways, a train system, and air travel. OG Loc and Madd dog merch changing prices with respect to the missions done is actually some insane attention to detail.
I mean sure, it's a very mundane thing. But the fact that they added that in the coding process just means that the devs had a close eye on world-building.

Certain stocks fall in value due to missions, certain fall in value due to player events (destroying company delivery trucks). The map changes after missions too (such as billboards and a lot of structures as a whole). IE if after you play the mission where a big plane falls into some water, it stays there, though there are many more things like that, just look it up

See no one is gonna pay for dlc that cost more than the base game..
But people will happily chuck 100+ bucks at microtransactions over the course of a games life.. Before you realize it you've spend half a grand or more on a game that cost 60 bucks originally...

Reading "If you thought your ride was gone forever, it wasn't. It was waiting to be recovered. And it probably still is." gave me chills thinking that I might be able to find my PS2 memory card from who knows how long ago and see what the vehicles I last drove were. Presuming it is saved to the save game of course.

There was actually a cut mission called "Impounded" given by Ceaser that would have introduced you to how the impound worked.
Also it would be literally a real game scenario, you lost your car after entering the mission

Cant remember if its a mission or just a random dialogue, but theres a mention somewhere in the game that the barber near Grove St is close/member of the Families, so it kinda makes sense

One thing I notice is that after you kill Jizzy, the 3 random cars at the club never spawn the Pimpmobile (Broadway) anymore since the club no longer operates
Didn't Jizzy tell you to keep the Pimpmobile after one of his missions? He tells you to keep it away from him, and you can save the car as your own at any garage...

Another thing that most people don,t notice is that if you hit a player then he fall in a kind of realistic way better than other old gta games

1:36 - To be honest, I like Big Smoke. Even after his betrayal, he cares for CJ and respects him.
One of my favorite villains ever.
Fr, like, his death scene doesn't even have any dramatic effect or songs. It's just a plain death scene, yet his death scene still make me very sad than any other death scene
He never cared about CJ, that's why nothing changed. CJ was too blind to see that Big Smoke was rotten from the beginning. The one I think was written wrong was Ryder, he was a loyal soldier until his random betrayal, absolutely hated TP and Pulaski, and it's very obvious he was a late story change with little emotional reaction from CJ to killing him. Unlike Big Smoke he was actually killing Ballas for fuck sake. He also mentions the Green Sabre before Big Smoke shuts him down, he clearly had nothing to do with it.
Unlike Big Smoke who gets mentioned every two seconds, Ryder just never gets mentioned by Sweet, it's bizarre.

Another cool detail I just noticed today when playing was that if u try and shoot an enemy whilst having to reload when running a gang cj will call for them to shoot them for him whilst he reloads
This game's crazy amount of effort and details teaches us that if we wan't to make a product that goes global, we need to make it worthy not just in the present but to 5 or maybe even 20 years worth of playing to really show the quality

Been playing San Andreas since 2006, both on PC and PS2. I lost count of how many times I finished it. Sometimes I even watch complex speedrun techniques, already modded the whole game multiple times and looked through a lot of game files, and just now I'm discovering that cars used before missions are spawned in the impound lot. As a child, a pc or even a PS2 were more expensive than a basic wage back in the day in my country, and I had a N64. When I finally saw San Andreas, I thought it was the most detailed and complex game ever, with infinite possibilities. To this day, I still think it's a very complex game for its time, and this video shows why.

I’m glad I stuck it out. At first I was thinking it’s going to be a video covering things I’ve already known for over a decade. The first one I knew, but then I only knew a couple of the rest. That impound one is brilliant! I distinctly remember going down there every now and again because I thought it was just a place where really nice cars could sometimes spawn, haha. Complete game changer, ready for the Definitive run through!

I love how in Black Project cutscene Truth is literally behind Cj talking to the phone and yet he can’t find him
Almost every GTA CZcamsr makes a video like this but this is my first time to see a video that actually shows stuff we may not know. I didn't know about shops closing and cars getting impounded.
Maybe that beta mission, it was named "Impounded" if i remember correctly, was meant to show the player what to do if their car disappears. But for some reason they cut that mission and now we just learn about being able to get back our vehicles

I knew about most of the open world details since I've spent years just casually exploring. Still an amazing video though. I'm glad more people are finding about about these.

I honestly regretted bringing my customized/sports vehicles in the mission and disappears on the cutscene.
Esp when you use a car that is pretty rare for you to find. (Example, Hotknife & Phoenix)

Can't find the spawning area of them during free roam. (Import/Export is excluded because It only spawns once.)
