@@chantlirmccorvy4180 yeah but he’s 14. And so is Katsuki. That means it would be pretty much the same as an adult grabbing another adult. He may be short but he’s still heavy enough that catching him when he’s falling full speed towards the ground is going to cause some damage.

The ending explain everything about bakudeku
So let me get this straight, Katsuki saves Izuku from his jump from the previous MV (as shown at the very beginning), and throughout the course of this MV, he’s trying to figure out what he should do to fix the mess he made whilst reflecting on how they got to this point.
He makes a grand total of two attempts to try and do the bare minimum of making it up to Izuku (giving back his hero analysis notes), the first while they were both recovering from the incident, the second after some unknown amount of time has passed.
Izuku aloofly rejects both attempts.
During the end we see Izuku in his casual and suicidal state in the previous MV, I don’t believe it’s a glimpse of his future, it’s Katsuki flashing back to the days just before the jump, and how much his demeanor has changed over the course of the two MVs.
The final shot of present Izuku’s face on the second attempt tells me that Izuku sees Katsuki as a pitiful person for thinking that such actions would mend their near nonexistent bond.
This was made at the top of my head after rewatching some scenes, if I got something (or everything) backwards, let me know.
Did you go to/are you going to like... Harvard? Princeton? Oxford? Cambridge??? That is a practically perfect analysis for this. Though I would like to add that:
Izuku seems to have given up on everything after his jump and has become the total opposite of what he was before. Now, it looks as if he's lost all drive, he couldn't care less about Katsuki or their past and has become practically emotionless(at least to Kastuki), rejecting all remnants of their past relationship.
Moreover, about Katsuki, the reason he seemed to dislike Izuku so much was that he believed himself "perfect" and "without weakness" but Izuku helping him, "disproved" this. Though, he now recognizes his reason for treating him in such a way was extremely trivial, he's not exactly sure how to act now, since, for him, it seems like this is how he's "supposed" to act. It feels like he's been built into the roll that he played in his youth.
However, his moral conscience weighs on him to stop acting like himself or at least the "him" that he's been all these years. It's a fight hosting his conscience Vs. his ego and reputation. His conscience seems to have won but he doesn't feel he can completely erase his attitude.

@@itz_ary I was in my second to last year of high school when I made this, and I _barely_ passed. The last two years were an academic nightmare and I’m pretty sure I was the only guy struggling that badly in my classes. Granted, I wasn’t helping myself in that regard.
Thanks for the compliments, even though I don’t think I actually fit those descriptions, I’m glad to see that watching analysis videos on games, anime and movies that interest me every now and then has made at least a little bit of impact on how I think and express those thoughts.

The ending is to be expected but what hurts more is the experience of pain that deku and bakugou had to go through in this series ? Au?

SOMEONE MAKE IT
I don't know if there's a fanfic like that, but there's something similar. "In a Sky of a Million Stars (who care if one more light goes out?)" has a similar plot, but Katsuki gets a redemption arc, it's BakuDeku but Bakugo changes enough to make it realistic (plus, his bullying wasn't as bad as in cannon in that fic). Also, Izuku doesn't get along with Katsuki right from the start, I can't say more without spoiling it but both of them work their problems, eventually
As much as this has made me cry by now, I can't help but feel like Yellow Cardigan Deku is a malicious force here as well. Smiling every time we see him, luring Izuku to actually take the last step, to follow his hateful and worse thoughts, or something like that...the suicidal side that wants to end it, or a side doing all it can to separate the two to "protect" Izuku from being near Katsuki anymore, maybe? Since after it lead Izuku to step over, he has finally began looking at Katsuki with hatred and refuses the apology looking disappointed -while shown to be a different Izuku from Cardigan Deku, who flashes in and out of usual Izuku.
I don't think it's actually anything weird like that but now I can't stop thinking about it lol
Yes! Its like Yellow Cardigan is the embodiment of suicidal thoughts and its calm face is the feeling of control / relief at the idea of simply not existing anymore

I really love the colors here. Katsuki's world is all dyed in his colors, but it's colorless because of that. only the deku in his memories is different -- and he hated him for it. but now that deku has finally conformed to what katsuki wanted for him (self hatred and giving up on his desire to become a hero) katsuki wants the old, colorful deku back, even if one of those colorful forms was the one who tried to kill himself. he saved deku's life, ultimately asserting that HE is the hero and deku is the perpetual victim who can only rely on the strength of others to save him, even from himself, and in doing so he finally managed to eradicate deku's belief in himself completely. katsuki could stop him from becoming a hero, and he could also stop him from dying on his own terms. that last visit to the hospital was just the final nail in the coffin that broke him completely. the notebook represents deku's hopes and dreams, which kacchan stepped on, stole from him, and kept away from him, but when he tries to give it back deku no longer even wants it.

Especially because his notebook is just another reminder of the dream he couldn't have and was constantly discouraged from by Katsuki

Basically Deku decides to quit the idea of a being a hero at the end. That, or it’s just him rejecting Bakugou’s apology at the end (but still possibly wants to become a hero).
I just realised that the uniform for the ending from the prototype the the BNHA made isn't it? So this is how Deku become yamikumo (proto!Izuku)...

the ending is very realistic. i mean it can depend on the person, but for me, it is.
i've been bullied before as well, and since this is kind of a katsudeku story, then there is some tragic romance in it. in my experience, i had a crush on the guy, who ended up becoming my bully.
when he found out i liked him, he treated me so badly i lost all of my self-esteem and confidence. no physical bullying happened, just verbal. he called me ugly, fat, annoying, stupid, etc., and since i liked him, those words of his really affected me. while i have recovered from what he did (since it was 4 years ago), the self-esteem he took from me can never be given back to me.
the coincidental thing is i also had a notebook incident, no he didn't explode it like bakugou, but it was my personal notebook for when i write stories and drew my own characters. he vandalized it and threw it to the other side of the class, so it also got dirty.
the difference is that bakugou realized how he treated midoriya was wrong, until now my past bully has not lived up to his mistakes.
the things midoriya experienced for years, i can understand and sympathize with him why he didn't forgive him.
midoriya obviously went through worse, so it's even more understandable why he would never forgive him.

but if you make a third video where there is a happy ending, i wouldn't mind, i'd actually like it. despite midoriya's and my experience, there's still a little hope in me that people can improve and second chances exist. of course, it'll take a lot of time, so i hope it takes a long while for midoriya to forgive him. if my bully genuinely apologized to me, i'd forgive him. it would lift some weight off my shoulders. but no matter how much he apologizes, it will never restore the positive mindset i once had.
if this katsudeku story ends here with a sad ending, i wouldn't mind that either, because what midoriya went through was horrible. the timing of bakugou is shit, and he barely looked apologetic even if we knew he was. a simple apology won't make up for everything midoriya has gone through. bakugou is going to have to live with that guilt and regret for the rest of his life, which is kind of satisfying on the bullied's part. but midoriya isn't that type, he genuinely felt like dying which breaks my heart, because i've been in his place where i also felt like dying, the difference is i continued to live.

i don't know why i commented this, i'm sorry, i guess these kinds of katsudeku content really make me relate too much. what's weird is that i like katsudeku despite bakugou badly treating midoriya when i've gone through the same thing. maybe it's because canon bakugou is actually improving.

You're not stupid I've been there I got bullied alot and was suicidal too I watched My R of Izuku many times and felt motivated to jump but I decided not to. Izuku looks so broken by the end and the audience or Bakugou can't really blame him for I've learned to forgive my past and those that brought me so much pain but hopefully we will get a part three see them reconciling.

What I really love about this is that we finally got a Bakugou’s point of view than Deku’s. Sure we know that in the anime, Demi gets bullied and all in middle school, but that was from his point of view and we really didn’t get to see Bakugou’s thoughts or if he ever regretted it afterwards, if he ever wished he could change.
I think we usually just blame others because of what we know to be true, but never consider what they know to be true. This is just really beautifully done.

Can I just say... those falling leaves move so smooooth. And the art style looked so polished and expressive.
I also love the way you handled Bakugou's prespective. You made it clear that he took Deku's death very hard but without justifying his actions. The ending where Bakugou is trying to apologize but it was already too little too late made this video so much more memorable to me. You can't just unbreak someone whose heart you've shattered. This video series just speaks to me on a deep level.
I’ve watched this so many times since you published it. I love the bits of animation you put in- you can see the massive amount of effort and improvement you made since My R!! I LOVE all your content and can’t wait to see more!!
This hurts so much because Izuku still respects Katsuki although he basically bullied him to the point where the boy has permanent scars, he’s so forgiving and it makes him a great person but it’s hard to forget. Katsuki was looking for forgiveness but realistically, Izuku should’ve pushed him away but he didn’t, I hate seeing Izuku so vulnerable to Katsuki’s bullying even the suicide baiting. If that happened irl it would’ve been most likely that he would be droven into depression and eventually ending it all, if this is happening to anyone please get help or talk to someone you know won’t betray you, I know how hard it is to open up when you’ve built a wall but it’s helpful to at least find a hobby that distracts you from dark thoughts or write in a diary, I write in diaries so I don’t have to listen to another’s words but my own. Izuku deserves so much more tbh, even though I love Katsuki and his character development what he did was unforgivable, suicide isn’t a joke, someone permanently leaves this earth and they aren’t going to come back to you.

I love this animatic. It is realistic. Just because Izuku has an all-encompassing compassion doesn’t mean he has to forgive bakugo for all the atrocities he had committed. His disapproving look aimed at bakugo at the end and him shoving back the notebook is priceless

I have a THEORY:
*Izuku lost his memory that's why he's acting like this*
Evidence 1:
Around 1:11, Bakugou said something to Izuku as he waved around the notebook(to get Izuku to notice him because Izuku was looking at something else). Izuku looked at Bakugou as if he was a *stranger* Izuku probably couldn't recognize Bakugou and said something that made Bakugou do the shocked facial expression. Those few frames could hide something else(Animators will show few frames that only gives a little evidence so they could leave the rest to you.)
Evidence 2:
*"If I could start everything over again, I wouldn't even try it. My answers won't change after all, right?"-Bakugou*
Izuku lost his memory, so Bakugou would try to retrieve it but realized he couldn't do it so he said this sentence as a form of regret and realization.
Evidence 3:
At 3:30, Bakugou is handing Izuku's notebook back as if he's trying to make him remember. Izuku did looked at it but shoved it back to Bakugou and gave him the "look" 4:00 but this time, rather than looking at Bakugou as if he's a stranger, He instead gave him the *disgusted* look as if he only remembers how horrible Bakugou treats him.
*How did Izuku lose his memory?*
1. Izuku could have probably hit his head somewhere causing a memory loss during that incident and as to why they both got injured afterwards.
2.Physical Trauma, Mentally Disturbed .In this AU, All those years Bakugou bullies Izuku causing Izuku a lot of pain leading him to suicidal intentions. Those times caused him trauma plus the incident and made him lose his memory.
It's only a temporary lost of memory that's how he remembers it afterwards. But could only remember how bad Bakugou treats him and so that's why he acts off at the end.

Physical trauma can greatly affect your memory, especially if brain damage occurs as a result of the injury. ... Severe injuries and physical trauma can also produce post-traumatic stress disorder, a condition that can cause temporary memory loss to help a person cope with the traumatic event that caused the injury.

My Theory:Memories issues do to Traumas in Cannon will have its own sub plot

that what ever made Shiga “forget”/ lose his memory, at some point also effected izuku, and it’s why he has to have the names of clothing like T-shirt on his shirts, an why he gets these blank looks
there are two explanations for this
1.after Kaachans literal years of abuse an social isolation Izuku, as a child low key activated A “Mental Vault” and its not detectable with common tests because it’s not an Alpha quirk type but well let’s call it a “Omega quirk” or a quirk that is neither a mutation or singularly related to physical amplification (through sweat, elementals, or common Alphanic quirks:I.E form functionality power increase) for Omegas, quirks are something traumatic/or even justified as potentially traumatic life events trigger their manifestations in the mind of the user,izuku has developed a way to compartmentalize his Trauma (an subsequent full Omega activation) an use it through his “weakness discovery” (muttering) in order to maintain his “socially ideal self” an full fill his goals ie because he wants to be a Hero to the point of self masking (he’s not aware he’s masking in layers) he hides his abilities even from himself (which will eventually blowup)
Or
2.as a child he met/was given to by his dad/or was kidnapped an manipulated by Afo/Afo’s people and his memories an in general his mind was messed with; but he escaped (most likely by the winged childhood “friend”) who was turned into a nomu because of it (see the last ep/or read the end of hero killer arc)

I’ve actually been think about this since Deku’s face reveal during his an kaachans’ first fight in the mock villains vs hero’s Training, and the Tododeku fight in the tournament arc the way his hair covers his eyes in these “berserker” moment shows him hiding something like why did Our half an half boy feel he could share his pain with him, why does both 5 year old an 15year old kaachan show facial fear in the moments he charged forward, why does Shiga ask him the difference between himself an stain, an why does Toga looked at him with a daj-veu based recognition? It’s because they all see a refection of their own masking that they do to themselves in dekus smile

Watching the first one, then this... I’m relieved that Izuku is not physically dead, but seeing him like that, emotionless especially, still breaks my heart. I’m glad that Bakugo realized his mistakes, but I’m also glad Midoriya didn’t just accept his apology. It hurts because that’s not Izuku, ya’ know? The feeling is like when someone you’re close to chooses to do something that you’re against, but you still support them and you want to be happy for them even though you’re negatively affected, directly or indirectly.

I have hated Bakugo since I started My Hero because of one of the first few lines he had in the first episode. As someone who has had thoughts and attempted, that line along with the My R animatic hit too close to home. I am a very forgiving person but I always believed that what Bakugo has said and done can't be forgiven and I hoped Izuku would give Bakugo a piece of his mind in the show. But... at the end of this.... When Izuku shoved the book back at him, I didn't feel content or like Bakugo go what he deserved (which logically he did). I felt.. sorry for him, sad that Izuku couldn't forgive him, hurt when I saw Izuku's eyes and upset that what has been done in this AU cannot be changed. It's... odd. This animatic changed my view of what I want to happen in the show... Thanks for that, my heart is broken/confused and you now have another subscriber! :)

The ending of the MV where Deku shoved back his hero notebook to Bakugo simply means he has already given up trying to be friends with him and trying to be a hero... right?
In my opinion the notebook symbolizes the apology and Katsuki was trying to apologize but Izuku refused to forgive him by shoving the book back to him.

People always judge Bakugou but forget that from a normal perspective, Deku is a pretty creepy stalker who just used to stalk him. Bakugou didn't want him around and even voiced it often. Even getting aggressive and pushing him away. Hirokoshi often makes jokes about how creepy and stalkery Deku is in the Smash comics. Even sometimes in the manga canon. The kid is obviously well meaning, but if Bakugou was a girl, you people would be creeped out by Deku and would probably be defending Bakugou. =_=
Ikr, their relationship used to be a huge misunderstanding on both parts 😂 Until Deku vs. Kacchan pt. 2, that is. And yeah, Horikoshi's stalker Izuku jokes are really good!
Also I feel a little uncomfortable when I see how people can be so unforgiving because of that one line I'm sure Katsuki didn't even really mean (canon Izuku apparently knew it too). Like, in real life, if a child bullies another child for a while, do those people believe it should never be forgiven even when the bully grows up and regrets their past actions? Or on the other hand, where's their faith in our strong boy Izuku?
Katsu is not as bad and Izu isn't as much a victim as some people think. They're not just bully-victim, they're childhood friends who grew up together too and yes, it actually does make a difference.

Perfect example that bullying is wrong as hell . Because trying to be kind to someone you know you hurt to such a degree is basically impossible . It's not that simple . In tears , I saw a part of myself in there . So this touched a part of me that's scared as hell .
This could have ended with him being extremely angry at him for doing what he did . That is another result of it all . That Bakugou would give life to Izuku's wrath and hatred toward him . That Bakugou lost him to pain and sadness that became rage and hate .

I LOVE THIS STORY quite seriously if all might had not found Izuku, he would not be where he is in the anime. He would continue to live under the blind abuse from bakugo until eventually, the possible scenario of Suicide. I especially love this song as bakugos point of view, there are many stories where all he does is say sorry and izuku just forgive him like it never happened. But here we see why Bakugo says sorry, and he knows its his fault and he in unsure if he could get forgiveness for something he knows he can not fix/redo. Even more we get the ending where izuku does not forgive him, as its reasonable as bakugo was from the start to the end what made him thing being quirkless is a horrible and shameful thing, corrupting his mentality with fear and (social)anxiety. and not having the happy go lucky forgiveness ending (its would be nice though, wouldn't it) Can really show that sometimes there is no forgiveness, and there's nothing that can be done about it.
