The grand national has the best airtime moments imo. The drop into the airtime hill with the double down is insane. The airtime hills on the ultimate in the second half are something else!
I love Blackpool, the revolution doesn't look intense but it is. It's made me black out for a few seconds and I agree, the restrains seems so loose so when you launch and go down the first drop you come out your seat. Grand national is amazing, my favourite wooden coaster and its good when its rough. Wild mouse had the best air time moment 100%

@@jakehopkins6989 well that is what you think. For a basic looping coaster it is. If your sat at the front it really is but ok.

Why did they close it?
All it needed was to be re-themed as "The Punisher" - it looked so cute, and people got really surprised when they were beaten to a pulp.
I loved it - it should never have been closed.... just like how rugby and boxing shouldn't be banned.
I fear for Grand National - easily one of the very best rides in the UK.
My 76 year-old dad went on it twice a couple of months ago (left, and right tracks, as is our tradition) - he absolutely loves it, so all of these wussies moaning about how violent it is should just .. well, collect their pension and not go on it.
But don't try to spoil tougher peoples' fun by suggesting it should be taken down and suffer the same fate as Wild Mouse.
The racing element is absolutely terrific - I don't think there's a better racing coaster left in the world.
And the airtime that makes you leave your seat; you thank the ride operators for checking that the restraints have enough give in them not to crush your internal organs, that's for sure.
The camelback on Rattlesnake gives some crazy yet painful airtime. The last time I rode it, the person next to me was a lot bigger than me and my restraint came up to my lower chest and during that camelback, I was treated with some amazing flowjector, but when the brakes kicked in, my chest slammed into the restraint, leaving bruises on it, hence why it's painful.
I can literally stand out of the lap bar on the runaway mine train at Alton Towers
The airtime from the first clip was so big I could feel it at home on my sofa 😂

I was confused when John said that revolution was intense (like grey-out intense).
Went to Blackpool last week.
Went on Revolution.
Tried back row.
Almost greyed out.
Don't underestimate Arrow Dynamics.

The 2 Oakwood rides making this list looks indcredible, but I have only visited Thorpe, Alton Towers and Pleasure Beach, and here is my 7 favorites
- Saw the ride: drop of the midcouse
- Airtime hill on Stealht
- Second hill on Smiler
- Drop of Revelution
- Drop of Oblivion
- Going though the structure of Wickerman
- Something on Grand Nationel, but i don't remember my ride that well.
I’m from the US so I haven’t ridden any of these. But this video was hilarious. I don’t know much about UK airtime, but I can tell you about practically standing up on some of the airtime hils on El Torro and being out of my seat for 3 to 4 seconds at a time. That was my first experience with ejector airtime and nothing has quite matched it since. Though Twisted Timbers did come pretty close and hurt my thighs.

ScrewyLoops it is! I rode it only once because it was all we had time for and I dreamed about that ejector for 3 days. It was life changing. I wanted to get back on but everyone else either had an airtime headake or thought it was too rough. I mean ok there were definitely some rough patches, but we were also on a wheel seat in the very back.

I honestly love the Grand National. I always visit the Pleasure Beach with at least 4 family members, so we always get to race each other on the coaster. It's fast, it's moderately intense and overall it's just fun.
The big dipper at blackpool has some real good air time
yeah but the seats combined with the not-so-smooth coaster just ruins the ride for me

Smilers always the best
I got stapled on Wicker Man :( I tried to keep my lap bar loose but it comes down during the ride. Fortunately i still really enjoyed it, especially in the back row! The airtime was great!
That 2nd double down on Grand National is the most brutal airtime moment I've experienced
Also Revolution's first drop on the back row is the best airtime moment in the park. Just sayin
I’d say Revolution and Icon were the most surprising airtime for me. Grand National is madness and can be painful but it’s maybe my favourite at Pleasure Beach. Shoutout to Rita’s launch and also Wicker Man too. Rita and Revolution, both rides beginning with R and rides I refuse to ride unless my friends reallly want to 😂

I know 13 from Alton Towers wasn’t mentioned in this video but it has a crazy airtime it makes me feel sick even though it’s my favourite ride at Alton Towers

I know this isnt coaster related, but the most airtime ive ever experienced was the backseat on Valhalla. Forgot to brace myself for the drop after the ice room and my rear end AND FEET (BEARING IN MIND IM 5’11) was just airborn all the way down till the splash...

The drop on Cat-o-pillar coaster at paultons park actually gives pretty great airtime right at the back.

The train is super long so by the time the first car is at the bottom of the drop the back car is still at the top of the lift hill so you are already quite fast when cresting it which actually makes for some good airtime😂😂. Honestly always go to the back of that ride if you ever go to paultons.
I don’t really want an RMC at Thorpe Park because I don’t think it would fit very well. A MACK multi-launch would be awesome considering how fun ICON is and it would fit Thorpe Park 👍

How do u get a loose restraint on the smiler coz it can be pushed further down during the ride.
Whenever I ride I try and get my restraint loose but it always gets pushed tight onto me at the bottom of the first inversion.
How do you guys manage to get a loose restraint throughout to get the best airtime?
The Smiler is an awkward one but leaning your hips forward can help 👍 It's hard to explain 😅

A tip for airtime on Wicker Man: Sit forward in your seat and keep a loose restraint (not too loose) so the ride OP's won't push it down. Once you move back in your seat you will have a loose restraint. I recommend holding it up until the end of the very first turn after the lifthill so that you can get even stronger airtime on the first hill.

When ever the Oakwood park closes there’s normally only 5 rides open which are the bad ones and megaphobia (one of the best) and before the park closes if there no que the let you go on over and over with out getting of it’s really fun 🤣
At the back of the ultimate you are out of your seat for the whole downhill after both lifts 😂

I been on most of these coaster apart from the one in Wales God I love rollercoasters I still think for me blackpool is the best gem we got rides staff and hospitality top notch great city go there every summer love the rides

When i personally rode it the Grand National REALLY shook me up and i got a headache and my thighs hurt however on the Big Dipper it was really quite smooth and i really enjoyed it
1000000% correct! Was on the Big Dipper beginning of July and will never be back on it. Roughest and bumpiest coaster I’ve ever been on...... closely followed by the big one!
Grand national has some shunts on turns but no where near the Big Dipper

@@RSHaycub make sure you get a back row seat. They're sometimes arsy about letting you sit there ("move along to the first available row, move along now") but make sure you do. Over the first camelback the train seems to disappear below you whilst you hang up in the air for what feels like a few seconds, then you're yanked bodily back down at great speed.

The Big Dipper
THE GRAND NATIONAL (I don't really get much at all now)

I didn’t see the ultimate’s lateral G-force hill. It is extremely painful and it gives insane ejector/laterals.
