Mixcloud: Why & How They Pay...

  • People have recently seen Mixcloud's article regarding their ways of making money using their platform. The main issues i've noticed with the 'Select' and 'Live' revenue streams are: 20% of tips go to Mixcloud, paying £9 a month to use the platform for monetisation & earning only 60% of %30 from fan subscriptions.

    Right on point and that's why I did not sign up for mixcloud pro.

    It's a win win situation for mixcloud and not the creator.

    The traffic at mixcloud sucks and the creators are a lot more than listeners.

    Think it's a good deal. Everybody get paid, and these kind of servers are expensive.

      Maybe, but you already pay Mixcloud a £9 fee to earn money, then they take another fee again from the fans pledge. It might be expensive to run, but they're taking a double payment, when they wouldn't have any money coming in at all if there were no creators.
