"Sure man! just hold my beer...oh wait i need that."
Alex Edmondson hahaha XD
XD
Alex Edmondson, this was clever.
Fuk yes 😜👏👏👏

I'm the greatest of all time in "Leaving space" technique!
TheShowStoppersTV you joke but it’s the hardest of them all for many guitarists!
lewisheapy, so true more people need this technique
hahahahahahaha
@@roryphillips57 Especially Richard Benson
@@janugur2241 Yup, for the entire song
So awesome Tyler!!
It's really him
How to get a free copy of your contract to be
This is just superb, I've been looking for "guitar techniques videos" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Ganyatty Guitar Gainify - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my work buddy got excellent success with it.
i guess Im kind of off topic but do anybody know a good place to stream new tv shows online ?
Deepak
Although I’m very familiar with all these techniques
I’m pretty sure I’ve mastered Leaving space
Not many have, so congrats.
Only the elite have mastered this technique

This but unironically
@@shalashaska6658 unironically? In funk yes I guess, since I always do pauses to be syncopated. It's a nice touch to add tbh.

1:13 - 1:15 Most challenging for shredders
lol
William Lo Actually I've been jammin' and doing double stop solos so no prob. I shred but I also wanna learn all I can.
John Johnson he's talking about leaving space it was a joke
True😁😁😁
Love the 80s porno backing track. Epicness
The what
Now i hear moanings in my mind HAHAHA
you mean John Carpenter/The End ?
Lmao
No ur just dirty minded
“You can’t advertise and slide on guitar at the same time”
Music is Win: “Hold my beer”
Chad Barclay musiciswin: wait i need that
it's actually "Pass me my beer"
i was gonna say that lol
"And then give it back and watch" there i fixed it
Underated
I now understand why this guy was asked to play Eric Clapton’s guitar. He is excellent.
Yeah, I feel like he’s kind of underrated as a guitarist on CZcams. He has so much content, very creative, helpful, and inspiring, but other CZcams guitarists get more subscribers than him for 20 second meme videos (no offense to Kmac). While he isn’t struggling, I think he deserves more credit.
He’s incredible
look up his live performances lmfao
@@ericajohnson7535So what he’s had some bad live performances, every musician does! That doesn’t take away from the fact that he actually does have a lot of skill!
@creeperkiller9795 what's important is to pay attention to how many cuts there are in this 2 and a half minute video. Each cut is edited in after who knows how many takes before he really nails one. He has bad live performances because he cannot play well with many of these techniques live on demand
Ah, but you didn't sweep pick with your teeth behind your head tho m8...
Yes I did watch it again
Music is Win not behind your head though. Great video btw!
Missed the Pete Townsend "windmill" strike :-)
With your teeth behind your head *Windows Error noise*
What about Paul Gilbert's ass sweep arpeggios?
You even used one of my favorite techniques: Switching guitars mid-solo
shit,I just realised it after your comment, lol
me yup at 1:10
I never would have noticed that!

So I just learned something. Doing every technique just makes you sound like Satriani.

background music sounds like round 20 pacer test lmao
ACCURATE
Can relate
OMG! Yessss. I hate those tests tho LOL
true
Its called a backing track
Love how "Leaving Space" was included. Such a powerful technique in music, not just solos
That was awesome.
The fact that you incorporated all these techniques into an original track without making it feel stuffy and compressed is just amazing. Everything was very tasteful and was very smoothly integrated. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve watched this just to hear your compositional work at play. You are by far my favorite guitar CZcamsr and are someone who has motivated me to get better at guitar and just as an overall musician.
I also have a video on this subject. I would be very happy if you would like to see it in my channel.
Jesus, you're a great guitarist
No shit
jesus was many thins, but i dont think being a great guitarist was one of them
He has been since the resurrection.
L00ww Yes he was an amazing guitarist better than Hendrix
Ironic he chose the name above names, King of kings and Lord of lords. How weird would it sound if he said Muhammad, Buddah or Krishna first? Hope He knows you!
This was so much fun to make. Thanks for watching, friends! BTW, a lot of these techniques are covered at length in my Modern Rock Guitar Techniques course: bit.ly/MODROCKcx
Music is Win I took your Guitar Super System!!! You better teach me all that during the process! :O
Awesome solo! Everytime great content that i enjoy very much as the guitar super System!
Never knew that was called mystical harmonies, haha. Great vid, man, ty again.

Elijah Misner He's not, he left out alot of techniques
KillerSkullX he still got a ton into a almost 3 minute video
Elijah Misner Doesn't mean anything he's just using clickbait
KillerSkullX you try making this video

"Always remember to rest. You never know, a little bit of music might just fall out." - Miles Davis
That “whammy glissando” was fckn tasty
Now zero guitar techniques in one solo!
Lil Wayne has already done that!
That's the kind of shit for Rob Scallon's second channel
Alex Wales davie504 is the king of challenges, Rob is merely the prince
Dillon Orr Yeah, Davie is a monster!!
Appithkia Davie504 played bass with no strings.

Easy there, Steve Vai.
All Steve Vai does is plat a million notes per second. He doesn't have any feel!

Dis Iz Yali Jared dines 👌
No dude its Rob Scallon wtf
Dis Iz Yali oh, fuck it!😂 (I thought Jared dines cuz he says in a video called what cocky guitarists say or what beginner guitarists say "Steve vai ect

You forgot slap guitar!
FunkyDrummer Ben howard it up
Woah are you not satisfied?
plucking strings is originally a lute technique so guitars aren't real
a guitar is a lute.
'twas a joke
I have not once thanked a person for a CZcams video In 2 years of guitar playing, but my god this is the most incredible video I have ever seen. Thank you!
This is awesome !! You are so talented, love the channel
That is special because it sounds like a genuinely stellar solo.
Chapeau!
Actually a pretty good lesson in itself. Reminded me of a few techniques that slipped away after not using them for a while.
You forgot "The Lil Wayne".
best comment
Lil Wayne has no technique.
XxcluZion that's why it's so difficult
@@8BitMooing lil Wayne is the technique itself
@@JonathanccTCG he created playing style so advanced, no one can even copy it!
I can't stop listening! This is awesome!
Beautiful use of these techniques man excellent job!
Thanks for summing up the techniques in one video , makes it much easier to keep track of the ones we often miss.
Oddly enough, the hardest of them all to master is 1:13
Yunus Qurbanlı why
tis making fun of guitarists who dont leave space in their solos... like every beat needs 16th notes in them.
Yunus Qurbanlı Nah, hybrid picking is a bitch. Even more so than sweep picking.
Do you mean leaving space or switching guitars mid-solo?
Not if you come from an acoustic guitar background.
Nice. But you forgot one more: smashing the guitar at the end of the solo.
Seriously, this solo has such a Steve Vai vibe to it! Great job man! One day I’ll hopefully be at your level 👏👏
This was the most fun solo I've ever listened to and watched!
So, basically a short Steve Vai song...?
Great job man! Absolutely fantastic!🤘👍🎸👏
Good job you are much more versatile than I ever knew !!
No pick throw at the end! #FAIL
It's a technique, honest. It takes years to hit the camera lens every time.
Hey Tyler! Love the Video, Could you do a Lesson on Double Stops In the Future maybe?
Bar 2 string and hit them, creates a reversed power chord
😮...that was awesome! Your movements are so good for so many techniques. Time to get practicing!
I'm really enjoying watching your videos your incrediblie entertaining as well as talented keep it up.

i cant stop to see this vídeo 😊
I love Tyler's playing. I would love to see him put out a full length guitar rock instrumental CD that could be found anywhere including Amazon.
One of the most useful guitar videos on youtube. You can litterally pick the style you want to train, and research over it to learn the how to.
This video will forever be legendary imo 🎸🔥👌🏽
Every time he would switch I’d imagine every guitarist notorious for using each.
Van Halen
Satriani
Billy Gibbons
Zakk Wylde
Dave Gilmour
And a few others.

HOW THE HECK YOU GET TAPPING HARMONICS
Tap the edge of a fret while you have another note held. It has to be the right fret though, just find it. Make sure to do it quickly and not to keep your tapping finger held down, bring it up quickly.
Say if you were to fret a note on the 5th fret, you would just barely tap the same string on the edge of the 17th fret. (I find it easiest to put a 12 fret space but you could experiment).
This helped a lot thanks
Expanding on the comment saying 'find the right fret', you can find the harmonics at 5, 7 or 12 notes from the fretted note.
So if you fret 2 on any string, you can find the harmonics on the 7th, 9th, and 14th frets.
Bonus:
On some acoustic guitars or high distortion electric you can even do natural harmonics on non-standard positions like fret 4 (like Van Halen) or even 3 or 2 or 6 even.
Dope for (prog) metal!
@@cornela1 correct, theres actually quite a few there in between 2 and 4th fret in odd spots, very hard to hit everytime on purpose lol. These harmonics are quite often hit naturally when players mute, which makes that muting sound unique to some players.
short n sweet n straight to the point
beautiful
Love it! Highly entertaining, my friend. I wish I was that good.
You’re the man!!!🤟🏻🤟🏻🎸🎸
That whammy glissando is just PERFECT
DUDE that was EPIC! I've been playing Lead guitar & vox for 30 years. And all I have to say is this is the BEST guitar video EVER!!!!
Thank you! Loved it. Made my day.

You didn't pee on it and light it on fire... unsubbed
AAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!! Yep you got it right
Who the heck pisses on a guitar
Nathan Murphy lol agreed
Jimi Hendrix
Dominick Cruz but that would be a waste of about $1500 worth of guitar
Great solo man. Thank you
Tyler you're a fucking treat. Every time.
If you want to learn more techniques, I noticed this solo lacked 2 whammy bar techniques. I believe I learned them from Steve Vai.
1, Gargling - Pick a note normally, then slap the whammy bar in a sideways motion for a ultra fast vibrato. Works best with a floating tremolo system.
2, Lions/Tiger Roar - Pick a note, slide up one half note while pressing the whammy bar down to compensate so you land on the same note you started on. Slide up one half note again and press the whammy down again. Keep doing this really fast so that you keep the same note while sliding up the fret board. When you reach the top of the fretboard you change the direction while slowly let the whammy bar go toward it's initial position. Essentially what you will be hearing is your finger sliding over frets while keeping the same note.
Interesting...never seen the second one. Can't wait to try it!
FatLingon Steve Vai is actually 3/4 mystical beast so technically and of his techniques don't count
This makes me wish I had a whammy on my Les Paul.
I love how the "Sweep tapping" had that glow over it for effect. Like "this is the pinnacle of everything guys" hahahah
David Miljkovic now when I watch more carefully, actually all of them have that same glow effect :P
It’s amazing! Very good!
that exactly what i am searching for
