Broly wasn't always a brute. Before he fought Goku, he was a much loved intergalactic pop idol. This song was a massive hit when it first came out and earned him many loyal fans. However, due to its popularity, people played it constantly and he was eventually made to sing it every time he performed. A few years of this caused him to lose his mind and he went on a killing spree killing everyone in the galaxy. Unable to take responsibility for creating this song and the atrocities he had committed, he made Goku a scapegoat and decided to murder him. While they fought, this song constantly played through Broly's mind, and continued nonstop throughout the next 7 years in which he was frozen.

Originz Fishing doesn’t change the quality, most songs in dragon ball was upbeat and positive. This song is held up as one of my favorites!

@Originz Fishing I believe it is about Goku recalling his journeys as a child alongside Yamcha, Bulma, Krillin etc. and how being with Pan and Trunks makes him feel like a kid having fun again searching for dragon balls, and that together they can get through any threat so long as they have each other by their side, As for the love parts, of course Goku loves his grandchild, and I'm sure he loves being able to actually spent time and bond with her on this journey of theirs as I'm sure GT Goku never had a real chance to properly bond with her before this, as the two had different tastes and Goku also had to train Uub also kinda destroying any chance to bond before the series

I grew up in a home that was very broken. Dragon ball, Z, and GT were literally my saving grace. Not to mention my gateway into shounen as a whole. This series was a love letter to Toriyama, as is this song. Dragon ball is that place that I hold close to my heart. Until we meet again Toriyama sensei, until we meet again. 🐉

Back when I was a kid, my father used to sing this to me as a lulaby. a few years later I came across Dragon Ball Z, which quickly became one of my favorite anime series. I stumbled acrossed GT and when this song started playing, I started to tear up and felt as though I had unlocked a piece from my childhood. I asked my dad if he had ever watched Dragon Ball Z, and he replied that he had been a big fan of the series when he was younger.
