    Halo Pak,
    Saya sangat suka dengan video anda, sayang sekali tidak ada subtitlenya karena saya tidak bisa berbahasa Indonesia. Anda menunjukkan semua detail mesin ini dan ketika anak saya secara teratur mengendarai mesin berukuran 600 mm (selama 20 tahun) dan memperbaikinya, saya tahu apa yang Anda bicarakan.
    Kami juga memiliki mesin tipe Ducroo Mallet dengan skala 1/4 yang menggunakan batu bara dan merupakan salinan persis dari 24 . Warnanya hijau dengan roda merah dan saya akan menambahkan tulisan yang muncul di tangki airnya.

    Hello Sir,
    I really like your video. Too bad it isn't subtitled because I don't speak the Indonesian language. You show all the details of these machines and as my son regularly drives 600 mm gauge machines (for 20 years) and repairs them, I know what you are talking about.
    We also have a Ducroo Mallet type machine on a 1/4 scale which runs on coal and which is an exact copy of the 24 . It is green with red wheels and I am going to add the inscriptions that appear on its water tank.

      Yes, this video is not yet available with subtitles. In essence, this video explains the collection of steam locomotives at the Semboro sugar mill, Indonesia. 15(O&K) and 29(Jung) are the two steam locos in the best condition(needs minor repairs) only run for charters. 2 and 3(both O&K Fireless) are out of service.
      The remainder were badly damaged steam locos, including the D&B engine. Gradually I will add subtitles on my videos.

      Dear Sir,
      Thank you for your reply. The Ducroo and Brauns factory built 61 Mallet locomotives, all in service on the island of Java.
      Ours (4 times smaller but weighing 250 kg) is strictly identical to the 24. Our coal-fired model has been running since 2004 in a public garden with 3 km of mm tracks towing several wagons (24 people transported, more would be possible). It is equipped with a reproduction of a Ducroo and Brauns tender in which you sit while driving. The entire train is air braked for the safety of the public being transported.
      This model is not available commercially. Several were built in teams using laser cutting and numerically controlled machine tools.

      The track is 184 mm (7 1/4 inches). The boiler is made of stainless steel. After 20 years of service (several thousand km?) the machine was completely overhauled, there was only 0.2 mm of play in the lift shaft. Best regard. I really like your locomotives; These are my favorites.

    Do you know which other steam locos were still running in 2000 when steam was finally withdrawn? I can find video of 22 running in 1997 and 11 and 5 running a few years earlier.
    Would any of the other locomotives be in good enough condition to be restored for running along with 15 and 29?
    Do you know why the Fireless locomotives 2 and 3 are no longer used?

      I saw the last steam locomotives running in 2001-2002, some of them were steam locomotives 15,19,21,22 & 29. And all of them only served on short routes, long routes were taken over by diesel locomotives.
      I think the condition of steam locomotives 15 & 29 is in good enough condition to be restored. However, in the sugar mill, management always changes & there is no desire to do it.
      The main reason for the unused fireless locomotive is efficiency, the sugar mill has reduced many workers. moreover, the existing diesel locomotives can back up the work of fireless locomotives.
      Not only the locomotive workers were reduced, but workers in all parts of the sugar mill.

      Very difficult to find information about it, many foreign nationals tried to buy steam locomotive from indonesia, but they gave up because of the complicated bureaucracy.
