I've read most of the comments here and it does seem many people are missing the point. The data from one form to another is very cool.
I noticed that it doesn't detect the computation error on the invoice for the last item. Calculation seems to be a shortfall of most LLMs.
Well spotted, there is a computational error (which is my bad because I added items and didn't recalculate the sums)
But yeah it's only focused on the main function of copy/paste without no mathematical computing which LLMs can't do anyways.

Interesting demo. I did this exact demo as well when I worked at OpenText. We had acquired an ocr company in Konstansz in Switzerland and I was showing a proof of concept. It is amazing how it is identical to this demo. That was 15-20 years ago though.

It really sounds interesting that a company has been able to do that 15-20 years ago, especially because the approach would be different.
I searched for "OpenText" and "OpenText copy paste" but I didn't find any video showcasing a demo similar to Clipboard AI though.
That demo is long since gone.
excellent tool... only problem is the security, as it can read and write anything on user's behalf with the power of AI
That is true, Security is always a concern.
I've asked this question to UiPath about where do they store the data when it's being processed, and the answer was, their own Azure AD application that they pay for.
They then call an Open AI ressource to do the work and then your data is removed, so I would say your data is as safe as a file in onedrive.
We need a local version powered by a local llm

Do you think it could OCR from a video of VS Code, scrolling up and down as it is explained, but eventually the whole file is shown❓
If not, what about screenshots of the video, where all code is shown, but duplicate lines of code would be in the screenshots❓

Theoretically it should be able to copy paste code even from a video, as long as the video is high quality and letters are clear ofc.

I am interested to know your thoughts on someone who wants to transition into a career in RPA, has no previous experience, but has recently acquired UiPath Professional certification. I think I have taken the right first step which is get the advanced certification, but I am a little unsure on how to go about from here, but my hunch is I need to work on some real projects and challenges to build some experience. Perhaps even an internship. Are you aware of such opportunities or resources online? Your feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

I think automation is here to stay so transition into a career especially now with what AI can add to it seems crucial to at least know which jobs are going to be automated in the future and which jobs are more safe.
Now about the term RPA itself I'm seeing more and more "Traditional RPA" vendors distance themselves from the term because it conveys a more rule based automation that doesn't include AI. So keep in mind that you want to transition to the intelligent automation industry which is an evolution of RPA. AND I 100% RECOMMEND THAT.
About the real world use cases I want you to watch @UiPathCommunity youtube channel, their videos are so long but they have real world use cases and they talk about them in details.

That is true, UiPath historically only worked on windows, but it’s fine for them because Microsoft holds 70% of the OS market, and this percentage is even higher when it comes to companies, and they’re entreprise focused.
I dont know if your the creator of this tool but I want to request a feature in which in the case where there is multiple entries the tool can detect the submit button and can automatically paste the rest instead of having to submit manually
I'm not the one who created it, and when I was presented with this product people have asked for the same feature, so your demand is understandable. Except the moment the tool can start clicking and going through pages, we'll be dealing with a robot, and we already have UiPath studio for that.

I haven't seen anyone use it on Mac so I suppose it's not but I could be wrong
I tested it and it's not better than some other OCR screenshot tools.
Once the text is extracted, openai can transform it into a table
It's not about the OCR or the transformation into a table.
It's about the tool being able to map all of your data to the target application no matter if target application being a desktop or web app
Open AI haven't launched their agent yet and until they can make a digital robot that can do actions on the screen, we cannot compare.
Also the fact that you need an OCR and then OpenAI just to mimic 1 use case (of table transformation) shows how powerful Clipboard AI is.
But is there for Mac? I couldn’t find it anywhere 😢

Yeah that's unfortunate, UiPath has been making progress with its tools to run cross platform, sadly Clipboard AI I'd not one of them.

It fell over at the first hurdle. You are to need to double check it so carefully to feel safe, that it will take you just as long.

@rzouk Hey, tbf I'm talking more conceptually. I'd reached the point in this video where you have the spreadsheet open and it just didn't look convincing but even beyond that, with something important like customer details, there's no way I would feel confident letting it just do it's thing. I'd be checking every field and at that point, it's not really saving me much.
@@TheDandonian I understand your concern, but for all the use cases I presented in in the video the OCR worked perfectly with not even 1 single wrong letter. So I would need another failed test to share your stance.
Also I prefer checking the results of a tool that can read data from images and paste it automatically in a target application rather than typing the data manually, I can process ~600 invoices a day that way. I can't say the same if I'm writing them manually.
Also I won't trust myself typing data from ~600 documents with 100% accuracy.

That sounds awesome, can you share a video on how you've prompted ChatGPT and what did you use to achieve the same quality of Clipboard AI?
Just use gpt vision by screenshotting it and paste into gpt.and ask to make it into a table. I do this recipes every day by photographing several and asking a for.a shopping list. This is no different.
@@digitalsoultech I thought you were able to make gpt do the action of mapping different data to the screen on a desktop app or a web app and then paste the data into those fields. After All that's the impressive part.
Accurate OCR and table extraction has existed since forever you can extract tables from images without leaving Excel. But that's not the impressive part of the video, it's understanding target applications and pasting inside of them.
As long as Open AI doesn't release its digital agents you will have to create your own large action model.
