Bro Taeyang is an OG in kpop industry. Before BTS and BLACKPINK there’s a very big group called BIGBANG and Taeyang is the main VOCAL and Dancer of the group. JIMIN and LISA and their group as a whole as well literally look upto them. Taeyang is like the R&B KING of korea. If they did not had a HIATUS I’m pretty sure that they’re as big as these popular groups now. BIGBANG his group basically popularised hiphop and r&b in kpop scene. They debuted in 2006. KPOP is not even mainstream at that time and they are heavily inspired by hiphop culture but their discography is very wide and not limited in their hiphop and r&b roots. They can do different genres.

Taeyang is the big name. He is the idol of all these people you're calling big names. You can search on Google to know about the idol of "big names"
Taeyang is legendary enough to make Jimin of BTS, Lisa of Blackpink, and these amazing legendary dancers collab with him in his comeback album after a 6-year absence. For me, it is the first no-skip album by a Kpop solo act, even in Bigbang standards. Taeyang is trying to unite Kpop and bring quality music again. We are fortunate enough to get to hear and see his talent and music.
Then why Taeyang needs to collab/feat with so many artist in his come back album? If he is really big, supposely his comeback has been waited by all Kpopers, isnt he?
Then why seed doesnt go any chart since it is released, infact Seed should be reawakening of Taeyang, an euphoria is calling.
I just know Taeyang recently as Kpop isnt my music, but I like Kpop dancing, as Taeyang too, so I just see at this moment and for me Taeyang is just a kpop singer.
