Thank You Very Much!!! 😁
@Gael Angelo Thanks, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :D I appreciate it!
Chad wrote Pea about getting picked on for being short.
Chad also wrote the main riffs for Sweet child o' Mine, Whole lotta love, Smells like teen spirit and many other rock classics!
What a legend 🤣🤣
They call him Chad “The Carpenter” Smith because he just makes these things all day, and sells them on
Bwhahahahaha
Then he cloned himself and started a career in the movie business..
And plays the chaconne well
People always seem to forget that Chad was Hendrix, Slash, Hetfield, Randy Rhoades, Zakk Wylde and Eddie Van Halen's guitar teacher
You put hetfield in before Kirk Hammett lol
@@jarrettthomas4865 hetfield is a monster player, people think that only kirk is the 'guitar player' in their band and that het is only rhythm
I really admired his work in Talladega Nights The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
I heard a rumor that he also heavily influenced Bach. Wouldn’t surprise me.
you forgot Will Ferrell
Chad actually invented music
Had to fact check and I see here that this statement is true
John creates the most fun things to play on the guitar.
Fun/extremely difficult. This is fairly hard to play.
And Chad on the drums!! I love playing RHCP songs on the drums. It's a great exercise
Agreed
Totally. I still play so much... even Mother's Milk stuff
Hell yeah
Pretty sure Chad wrote the November Rain solos. Really just a talented guy
Before Anthony grew “the stache” and got the shitzu haircut.
he had a beautiful long hair
@@LinkinJoze yep, just the one hair.
He needs to cut the stache
I kinda miss the sheepdog hair as I called it. The blonde hair from Californication.
I love Chad hahaha - these guys all have amazing senses of humor, but especially Chad. His early 90s instructional drumming video is hilarious!
Seems alot of people don't realize he's joking. He didn't teach John that guitar part. He was kidding around..as Chad does alot.
he's being serious actually but kinda embarassed
@@westerling8436lol yeah. After Flea just said John came up with all the guitar parts. And John then explains how he came up with the part. And Chad gives the most obviously joking smiling face and line of well actually...and John cracks up. Its certainly a joke.
@@westerling8436 embarrassed? Chad? It was a joke. You clearly don’t know much about these guys.
@@Jc-ks5lx I know Freakey Styley by heart just saying
Wow. You don’t say it was a joke? Did his body language give it away?
Chad is literally a Chad for coming up with that guitar part
Chadception.
He didn't... It's a joke.
@@absinthfux5508 thanks for that, I would never have conceived such an obvious possibility if you hadn’t pointed it out...
Chad actually invented the Beatles, and by association invented music as a whole
He puts it so perfectly when he says everyone had their own part and does their own thing and that’s what makes the chili peppers the chili peppers. John is the missing piece and I can’t wait for their new album! 🌶🌶🌶🌶
Yes, a missing piece! Well said! 💖💖💖 When John came back in 98 they all experienced a feeling of completeness. We can see this in the photos of that time
there was nothing missing. Josh was fantastic and a great guitarist with the Peppers. I’m With You is a better album than Unlimited Love
I knew it. Chad rules. He comes up with this stuff as easily as he's evacuating healthy doses of air. He's the sole reason I picked up a bass guitar once and started studying Nick Jagger's facial moves.
I can’t believe Chad actually teaches John the riffs before they record the album!!! Such a talented and caring man!!!
Oh man am I anticipating their next album, 2021 or bust. 👍🤘🔥🔥
Cool you guys i needed that just waking up. Snow is such an easy song to listen to.
maybe for you
So cool and insideful that John is so open about what inspired him to make his famous guitar parts. Also in the podcast with Rick Rubins. This song is one of the hardest to play live it seems.
My 6year old daughters fav band .. I showed her this video and she’s like “ what movie is he( Chad) out of .. elf ?!?! “ hahaha
John created that music. And he is the most talented guitarist for me.
No shit. It was a joke.
Uh, did you not watch the video? Chad clearly states he taught John the guitar part.
The chad Chad Smith vs the virgin John Frusciante 😎
Wow! Nice information... Thats why each member of a band must work together
It was a joke......
Really need to see some new video of the band playing together now that John Frusciante is back! 😘
My man chad is amazing!
I've been playing for 36 years. Snow verse part is one of the trickiest I've done. Kind of like patting your head and rubbing your stomach.
I just tried to do it. Ended up patting my stomach and rubbing my head
@@connorlucier6799 maybe I'm a freak but I got it first try. Not the riff but the stomach and head thing.
@@jan_Travis nice work!
I dont think the riff is difficult it's the just endurance of it that is difficult if you know what I mean
@@supersandwich8967 yes, it's not hard to do a couple of times, but to do it the million times like in the song without messing up or losing time is really a bitch sometimes.
Love it .love you all .
Made my day .As I was alone .xxxx
So cool to know Jimi was the inspiration 🤘🏽💕
John could play almost all of Jimi’s records by the age of 9. He said this in an interview in which he used to go to music stores and blow the adults minds.
In essence, this is the music of the cosmos.
four angels ❤️❤️❤️
0:34 - Chad, in a tasteful and spooful way, acting like your asshole unfavorite older Uncle who always throws shade at you when you shyly talk about something cool you came up with lol... I Love it lol!! It was pure Comedic timing on his part lol!! And man, the sonic space and pure creativity that John hears and comes up with is unmatched man! Love the RHCP so much lol!!
What a band
I would like to see John's video about his returning in the band. There are some podcast records with him, but it's less than I need :) How is he doing anyway?
It’s John Frusciante. You might not find out for another 2 years. But hey, we got him back that’s all we need
We all know Chad is the glue an the rock that holds RHCP together
After a bad day, this is the kind of thing I needed to see. Real ness
❤
Im 17 in 2021 and I just found the red hot chili peppers and I love it
Cleansing…very cleansing…I thought it may have had some pert plus/head n shoulders in it…🤙⚡️🦇
Great🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Gotta love it when the camera guy focuses on the plucking and not the fingering
God bless his soul, man. He's so humble, yet so skilled and referring his main influence.
When I die, I am going to miss not listening to this kind of talent I heard while alive.
how dramatic!
It's certainly a great lick -- and song. If John hadn't said that about Hendrix, I wouldn't have made the connection.
He does that hendrix kind of thing a lot actually, most prominently in Under the Bridge, but it shows up other places too.
Thanks for that Chadwick.
John is insane man. I personally think he is actually the greatest player.
Machine Gun Kelly is up there too
Apart from Chad.
Chad is clearly the brains behind RHCP’s guitar sound
Chad also invented the flat-land Ollie, velcro and disposable cameras 🙏🏽
The outro lick on Dani California is basically purple haze haha
He was really great as Chazz Michael Michaels!
Smh... One day everyone will remember who invented the guitar... Chad Smith, Inventor of Guitar and teacher to every famous guitarist of the past century.
Next live set!!
I like how Chad looks and acts like Will Farrell
Credit to the cameraman for zooming in on the picking.
RHCP 4 life!

Además, ha colaborado con numerosos artistas como John Frusciante, Glenn Hughes, Jake Bugg, Dave Navarro, Dixie Chicks y Johnny Cash, entre otros.
I love Anthony Kiedis always trying to sound artistic
One day I'll be able to play that whole song thru
The endurance is insane. The riff isn't super crazy by itself but after several minutes the cramps start for me, haha!
anyone know where I can watch this full clip/film/documentary??
God that action is high
Chad actually invented radio and howard stern(hoo hoo howie) such a innovative guy!
where are these interviews from?!
Lol anthony on the end hahahaa
Very cleansing
That zoomed-in picking patern helps in learning to play this insanely hard song.
Tbh I've never found the picking hard at all, I think the hard part is the fingering, doing the hammer on/pull offs and then cleanly hitting the next chord shape.
@@danieljensen2626 i can do the fingering but can properly pick it.
That Hendrix style was clean
“Even though I have a guitar part”… dude doesn’t know how talented he is
ya no han venido a surfear en n@yarit?.
i love how he adds "From Home" at 0:32 :D
Third, ha! Ha! Love that song.
Chad is music
I actually thought that it was true, every has change since I saw chad playing the piano in funky monks. I thought that it could be possible.
The best riff ever!!!!
Has no one commented on the speed of John's hand? Holy guacamole... That's insane!
That’s unbelievable
Yeah, amazing he picked up what Chad taught him so well!
Oddly... I didn't really pay much attention to John until I watched 'The Heart is a Drum Machine'...
But watching him compare what he did against what inspired him... it reminds me a lot of Rodney Mullen when people try to credit him with the things people point at him for... like the flat-ground ollie... the most basic thing... Alan Gelfand did the 'first' Ollie in a pool years before... and Rodney seems to defer to that... but comparing what Alan did in a pool, and what Rodney brought to flat-ground... even if it was inspired by, what Rodney did is a completely different thing... the fundamental physics of it...
Or when Rodney tries to brush the sheer bulk of what is credited aside by minimizing most of it away as a variant of something that had already been done, but with a minor difference (ie: darkslides and all the variants that come with that, tricks are all the same, Rodney just figured out how to flip the board upside down first... but Rodney also possessed the visionary genius to link all those things together when nobody else had).
Anyway... point is... both John and Rodney have this modesty... it shows in the way John almost seemed in a rush to put the guitar back down. Like he knows that he might not stop playing if it's in his hands... same as Rodney... if he gets a board under his feet it might be hours until anyone sees him again, even though he's sitting right there the whole time.
When I saw the thumbnail I thought this was a Will Ferrel skit
Haaaa....peace.
I was thinking how the hell he came up with that, sounds very original
This commentary is available on spotify
John and Flea I want to challenge you both...I play violin (or viola depending what octave you prefer). Who can move their fingers quicker....??? I will show you some Scottish fiddle songs that make you go mental 😆
Chad mows my neighbors lawn every other Thursday
Chad taught Chuck Barry how to play Johnny Be Good
Chad is the true legend lmao
MY BAND!!
Agh why is this cameraman zoomed in so much just trying to see his left hand form
John on desecration smile do you play a 1,2,4,4 or a c # barchord
Chad is the best part of RHCP.
What is this interview called?
What is the exact chords john is playing during the hendrix style part please?
nvm i figured it out
I wonder if when Flea, Anthony and Chad play Snow; they feel as though John is the RHCP and they are there to compliment him and play his song.
chad even says will ferrel-esq things
Chad is always so funny
This dude looks like will ferrel acting as a red hot chili pepper.
the thingy he plays at 0:08 is "Funny Face" :)
De que canción es la que estaba tocando John Frusciante
Little known fact, Ringo wrote all the #1 hits for the Beatles too.
That's ain't chad. That's will. Chad Ain't joking around 🤣
Chad is the Chad.
What a Chad
Chad is the best!
Chad looks like if Darren till and will Farrell had a baby
Chad discovered the circle of fifths as well
Will ferrel is super talented
Fact: Chad can play guitar for real he posted an ig video
Ya, good one chad hahahaha
So Chad gave John his seed. Makes a lot of sense.
