I would definitely consider a cuddle baby. I don’t usually prefer reborns, but I would go for a silicone head on a full cloth body. I think it is great that we are having more options available to us.
I have personally found that I dont really care for cuddle babies. I personally like the hands and feet to much with my reborns. I like to touch and look at the fingers and toes, and pose the hands too much not to have them. Also I'm really big into the outfit changes, the cuddle babies are very limited which keeps me from bonding too.
We have a cuddle baby in our personal collection but she's adorable and we love her. I feel like with them since it's only a painted head you can cuddle and handle them more with less "damage / wear".

Oh wow I was surprised to hear you say the regular 3 month Joseph isn’t very cuddly! Apart from my cuddle baby I think he’s the BEST cuddle. I throw him leg over my hip in bed and snuggle right up

I have been ill recently and although I used my Ashton Drake partial silicone as a cuddle baby it helped me realize how nice it would be to own a cuddle baby. I don’t feel they are beginner dolls at all either. The full covering clothing is perfect for a cuddle baby especially when ill. It protects the baby and can be easily cleaned instead of worrying about the limbs or cloth body by itself.
I could own a cuddle baby. The full cloth body wouldn't be an issue to me to dress up, because i love babies in sleepers. In a sense i already have my cuddle baby. She's my Ashton Drake partial silicone baby, Sarah. Silicone limbs are much more "comfortable" than vinyl ones. Of course, her head isn't artistically painted. She's more cuddly than reborns and lighter than full body silicone babies (they are heavy and so fragile), but a real cuddle baby would be more realistic. I thought i could make one but i don't know how to weight this full cloth body. ☺️ I have to find a tutorial ! 😅 Love and hugs 😘 😘 😘 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
It makes me feel like making myself my own cuddle baby but I must find where to find full cloth body's a second hand Berenguer Ethnic baby! I'm mainly looking for AA or Asian babies I would love to create my own cuddle babies and raise awareness in nursing homes! Giving a smile on an old lady's face by putting one of theses cuddle bugs in an old lady's arms! Since this Pandemic it's very difficult for the elderly all the activitys and social life as stopped! Many are going through depression and feel very Lonely! It would be great if each artist could make one cuddle baby every year to offer for nursing homes! In France we have an Association called Fan2reborn they give some of their time to make Reborns for Nursing Homes! They can be also therapy dolls for people who are in the Autistic spectrum! A weighted blanket, cardigan or doll can be a great help!My youngest Daughter is in the spectrum she has Asperger, she is 24 lives in Iceland working a safety guard in a swimming pool and studying music to get a degree she wants to be professional lyric Signing and playing Cello! I'm so relieved we struggled wenn she was a teenager in School! Interactions with others could be overwhelming! Having a child with special needs can be a challenge! I see Reviens as wonderful art Work but for me it's a wonderful therapy! I like holding them, taking photos, posing them! As visualy impaired it helps me keep in contact with visual world! Cuddle babies are very interesting by their possibility and how they feel in someone's arms xxx
I watch your videos allll the time! Such an awesome channel and has helped me navigate the hobby! I recently added two dolls to my collection - a silicone and a cuddle baby! Have four regular reborns that I LOVE!!! I believe that if I'd first gotten a cuddle baby or a silicone as soft as the one I have, I don't think I would have gotten my reborns that have limbs. I love being able to really snuggle then. That being said I LOVE my collection though!

my first baby was my Sugar kit girl Lily, the problem is, I like to take my doll to bed with me as it's a massive comfort during the night having a small body cuddled into you, however, as we all know, you move around in your sleep and quite often I would get woken up by a frustrated hubby, telling me "Lilys arms are stabbing into me" or "damnit, can you move her, her toes are jabbing me in the back" so I've now hired a wonderful artist and she's making me a cuddle baby, not only will this mean I can finally sleep peacefully as can my man BUT she will be my first alternate baby as well, so excited, she should be here next week! :)

I agree, some of my reborns are stiff and not cuddly. I don't have any cuddle babies but I understand the concept. And yes I have the 9 month Jesse from BB. I had to make her floppy or otherwise she would be to stiff for my daughter.
Mine did have a vinyl head but there are sometimes silicone cuddle babies. I would check with KrisC of the Dainty Loft or just ask any of the silicone painters as they can get a silicone head from various sources to paint.

Also I stopped using cable ties for the joints, I use the string ties, it has made a big difference in the stiffness of the doll.
