- Been craving hotpot for a long time while stuck inside. So spent the day hitting up some wonton noodles for breakfast, then a bit of vietnamese food Bánh mì and finally went to Shaburina for all you can eat wagyu beef hotpot buffet...craving satisfied.

I also have a comprised immune system so I have to be cautious about eating out. We would eat there on a heartbeat.... Wish they were closer to Tennessee. 😂

Totally agree. I have an autoimmune disease as well. I haven't had a hot pot yet and am craving one from mikey eating them. Im going to seattle for a mini food tour when this virus has a vaccine. Im Canadian from the vancouver island in bc just above washington state.

But its alot of cross contamination? I never seen a buffet place do this before as its bad pratice. Lol even chipotle gets in trouble if they use a meat scope and place it into beans, not saying thats howyou get ecoli, but nonetheless everthing else looks very clean.

From someone who battles depression daily, watching your videos always make me feel better like I'm right there with you. I'm from Michigan and I've found pho places and hit pot places and noodle places just watching you and now my family loves it. ( I even make the dipping sauce) thank you so much and continue to just be you as I learn to be myself. 💕

I have had a a5 New York strip best stake ever
I'm on that list too, but plan on changing that in a few months. Just found out today that a local meat shop carries A5!! But since it's about $150/lb., I won't be having alot of it; a quarter of a lb is enough red meat for me (or enough for my bank account anyway.)
Karen Brown wagyu beef is good but if you never tried Japanese A5 wagyu you are missing out definitely recommend trying it on a special occasion
I've never had beef as it's banned in india, had planned to tour SEA countries, but that didn't work out, thanks covid.

Omg that buffet place is taking all the right measurements to make you feel safe while you’re eating 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. As an essential worker who is afraid/stressed out to go to restaurants because people may not be taking the right precautions, this makes me VERY happy

Did a massive order from asian food grocer and got some of the noodles mike has tried in his videos and I literally watch strictly dumpling everytime I make a hot fresh bowl of REAL noodles. mike's noodle house menu prices for the amount of food they give you is unreal, considering it's seattle. they haven't increased much over the past 8 years i've lived in seattle!!! so grateful for them in delivering amazing/quality food at a great price. i could eat there every day and wouldn't get sick of it

It's unofficially called snatiation, its a vasovagal feedback. my sister gets this. I get it first thing in the mornings on my first bites of food, especially oily or fatty foods, instead of from a fullness sensation.

I’m glad someone else likes to have everything set up before settling in to eat, I get all the food set up in my bed, put on comfy clothes, get a full glass of water and have to pick something to watch before i eat lol

If I had one of those diy boba tea places I would never leave.
Also just looked it up and the place I order from DOES offer "extra broth" as an item you can order. I may have to try this when I try their banh mi.
Im friends with the owners at Shaburina! The owners are so respectful and customer service is AMAZING! I love that place!

I am super impressed at all the measures the restaurant took to make it safe.
That was super impressive about how clean and covid prepared they were...I haven’t been out to eat since March and don’t plan to (i still get takeout to support restaurants) but I’ve been too nervous to go inside and eat but that place would make me feel ok about going in. Well done!
PS that tea place looked fantastic! God I wish we had anything like that within 200 miles.

You won't regret it!! 40 years ago I started with an Okinawan karate teacher, then an exchange student to Japan and I've been reveling in "Asian influence" ever since!
Find the Asian grocery stores in your city & check them out inch by inch! Seriously look at everything, learn everything they've got! If something's unfamiliar, find out what it is. Buy & try anything that catches your eye. Coconut gels and pandan are a favorite of mine.
Here's something to try, I call it poor man's travel... have lunch at a Vietnamese restaurant, then go spend 3 hours at a Vietnamese Grocery, then go eat dinner at a different Vietnamese restaurant!
Do that with Korean, Thai, Indian... whatever you can find in your area! FUN STUFF!!
One thing to remember though, until you become familiar to them they might seem... a bit... surly, if not rude. Keep going back.
ps. When the Korean grocers starts becoming friendly with you... you've made it!

Stayed at Element hotel nearby and recognized Shaburina cuz of Mikey’s vlog! awesome place, really awesome owner, Sabrina & husband. Had a really good chat with Sabrina, get their original soup, get that in house sauce, fresh cut thai chilis, fried garlic, onion, ponzu sauce, they are amazing. I didn’t order the wagyu, but even the premium already amazing!
Tip them well, they go extra length to make us feel safe eating hot pot.

@@blakewalker94 There's another spot in SEA called Chengdu memory that's way cheaper and super good, no wagyu of course but $30 bucks will get you stuffed and the beef tongue is bomb. It's in Japan Town close to the Seattle pinball museum, also they take lots of precautions with covid.
