Your simply the best! Better than all the rest! That is how I describe NZ too coming from South Africa. Ne to riding. Been riding a Honda Rebel Cmx 500 now for 18 months and love it! Live on the Westcoast and living the dream, one ride at a time! Heading over Alpine passes this weekend to Christchurch. You guys are like kids in a candy shop, thinking every ride is better than the last! Love your enthusiams. Enjoy our beautiful country!

I used to live at Duvauchelle,, worked on the fishing boats over there,, im nearly retired now, live over the hill but its still my favourite ride on my Harley,, that and little river for a cuppa

As for the fuel, there's 5 or so different taxes on the stuff, although I heard our New PM saying,taxes are coming off fuel,but they are going to charge vehicles ex amount for klms on road user charges,lets see how the budget goes,

Head up North Island & the roads are crap the worst in my lifetime.South Island has way better roads than the North Island & only ⅓ of the population.Hardly any cops on the roads too.
No skin on our battered fish 🐟 like over in Ausie like I got when over there,after that I only went to Kiwi fish 🐟 & chips shop🤣.
@@ruahinesrider where was that? I’ve never had skin on my fish over here, I had fish tonight, if there was skin on I wouldn’t be going back, the roads here in Victoria are horrible, worst I’ve seen in my lifetime
@@TheHarleyRoadshow In Queensland Coolangatta & another place in Surfers.After that I only went to fish 🐟 & chips shop owned by Kiwi's plenty of them about back then.They sold L&P & Tip top ice cream & other Kiwi products too.
I moaned about it to my cousin's who lived there & they reckon to stick to the Kiwi fish 🐟 & chip shops cause they better.

I feel for you with the outrageous price of fuel , but , how do you think those great roads are paid for ?
It’s the same price on the north island and the roads are crap
@@TheHarleyRoadshow Totally agree with you , that's why I ride an Adventure bike , the larger front wheel is needed to negotiate the corrugations and that's just on the state highway ! I too am deeply impressed with the roading quality in the S I , it just shows how successive governments have sucked money out of the N I road taxes to fund the " tourist routes " in the south for the last 30 odd years . I live in rural northland and we've had a grader up our gravel road once in 4 years !

Talk about cost of fuel ! Get to akaroa and good luck finding a pie and cripes fishn chips are priced off the planet!! Blardy rip off if ya buy into it.
Went to Akaroa, bought the fish and chips, blue cod was magnificent, pricy but you only live once
the government here is making most of the money from petrol in tax then fuel company garage is lucky to make 10 cents

@@TheHarleyRoadshow The theory is the petrol tax is used to maintain the roads. I rode a sports bike quite a bit, I was happy to pay for the roads through petrol tax. It was a damned sight cheaper than having crappy roads.
@@cnm757 yes I don’t mind paying if the roads are good but we’re paying more tax than ever here and our roads are in the worst state they’ve been in, in my lifetime
