- Today, we have a bit of an EU4 challenge. I decided to force my friend to play EU4 multiplayer (or EU4 MP) after I installed a tricksy little EU4 mod. We see the Ottomans, Lithuania, Poland, Crimea, Austria and Hungary go head to head as they tried to figure out what I changed. This is basically EU4 in torture form with a healthy sprinkling of suffering.

Wait...the Austria player could have just abused the "king dies after winning a war" change and get 10 IA everytime
If there is no heir he would've lost the emperor title. And they finished the game in 1470 so only enough time for 2 heirs to get 15 yo if they were born whenever the king hits 15.
@@emiroz5728 Yeah, the real move is to win the emperorship as Poland and THEN abuse it, so you have infinite free heirs.
Oh also you can arrange PUs by losing wars to people.

As if that was slow. This was the most stressful eu4 game I’ve ever played. Also it’s not my fault I’ve never played ottomans in all my 3500 hours in eu4 and didn’t notice *5 whole discipline* missing.
Ok but Laith, do another one where it is legit gaslighting. You don't change a thing but set it up the same way. Just make sure to say like the 3rd guess made is correct so they go nuts trying to find "the other 9"
The way to make this work is to have one team be in on the gaslighting. They go into private calls and make the correct guesses
I could barely watch the last 20 minutes of this video. It was like I was having a flashback. I wanted to fly to England and murder Laith when he was talking about "how obvious" the last two changes were. WHO EVEN LOOKS AT CAV PIPS!!!

Everyone noticed "increased casualties" in the beginning and Laith commented "Yeah, those rebels are stronger" - but it might not be the most obvious reason :)

I don't understand the type of person who thinks idea changes in EU4 are not obvious, I'm in complete agreement with Laith here. I feel like I would've noticed that immediately, ideas are everything.
Yeah, I’m with you on that. For some nations I could understand, but Ottomans starting with 5% discipline is such a well-known boost to the nation that the lack of it should’ve been obvious immediately.
Also, doesn’t help that they apparently absolutely suck at remembering the ideas (looking at you, Mr “I know the Austrian ideas inside and out… What do you mean they have 5% discipline now!?”, not to mention they never started out with discipline anyway…)

@@pyoxydoge2566 nope, wrong. National ideas were indeed changed. Austria does start out with a military idea for traditions, but in the base game it’s some extra morale; here, Austria starts off with extra discipline, which is normally part of the very last NI you unlock.

Edit: stop the video at 45:09, you can clearly see that Austria starts off with 5% discipline bonus and extra heir chance as an ambition, rather than the usual 10% morale and 30% improve relations

The possibility of swapping points means you can just keepguessing wrong answers to get a load of negative points, then swap with other teams to screw them lol

0:22 - Before starting the video, I want to make a little guess at the rate some of these are discovered.
1. Probably noticed in the first battle.
2. Probably depends on the nation. Ottomans probably finds out real quick, difference between 105% and 95% discipline is harsh.
Edit of this: Oh, so not the national ideas. This will take longer to notice, need admin 5 obviously.

3. Depends on how fast people stab up or lose stab. Bankruptcy is probably a tad OP here, instant 3 Stab.
4. Cav nation like Poland probably discovers that instantly.
5. Probably takes the longest to notice on average honestly.
6. Probably takes a couple of wars to notice, First time would probably be assumed to be bad luck.
7. If paying attention, probably noticed instantly.
8. Probably noticed right when it happens, hard to miss that.
9. That might be easy to miss, might be assumed to just be higher rates of rebellion.
10. If you are paying attention, probably noticed quickly, if not paying attention, easy to miss.

Edit 2: 5:08 - yup, would have to be paying pretty close attention to that to notice 10.

I want to change HOI4 to secretly lower the amount of victory points in western USSR and putting some more in the east and see how frustrating it would be for the axis players.

I feel like this concept for group play was a lot more fun and interesting than previous ones which were just kind of angry chaos. (Actually, I liked the guess the hiding nation one too, that was fun). Only constructive criticism I'd offer is that the video started dragging once you were down to the last 2-3 things. One way that would have made it a little more interesting is if you allowed more than one person to guess each thing, but they progressively got less points. (Ex: 1st person to get it gets 5, then everyone else gets 2/3).
You'd have to have a little Excel sheet going to keep track of each player and what they guessed already and how many points they got but I think it would add a lot more "action" to the guesswork which is supposed to be the main thing going on. This would also add the interesting "Man, everyone has figured out this one but you," and would also add layers of "Hey why is this other player's army suddenly all cavalry?" and so on.
He could have also added a time limit.
This is a really fun idea, love seeing people puzzle through new things!

I mean the Ideas one is not that obvious, because paradox tweaks them quite a bit. 5 Discipline on Ottomans would be the most obvious, Elan on france ect, Just reversing the Order, makes it really not obvious because you think "Hmm well these ideas look about right", If you had swapped them with another Nations ideas. Now that would be obvious.
