At the top of the rig I see a few different knots creating the anchor (alpine butterfly, figure eight). Do you have a close up picture or a name for the anchor? Looks interesting, want to learn more about it.
There’s probably a safety option to still be able to go down I’m sure of it. I can’t imagine it would pass any safety inspection if you got stuck 100ft in the air 😅
Jesus, petrol in close proximity to nylon rope 🤦🏻♂️ Not least a hot engine. Got to be the worst powered ascender design of all time 😵 Shunt is not a back up device 👎🏻
Ok now this is just insanity. I thought the other video was bad.
'Hello Leam ... yeah, I need to pee. Better stand aside down there'

This is awesome. I wonder if I would be allowed to use it in my field. They should have a battery powered one.
They do, they are used on wind turbines a lot. And they often use battery powered one.
Skylotec
Wish i had one of these in my tree climbing days
How do the ropes get up there anyway? Somebody must have been up before to put the ropes there?
the ropes have to be there for safety purposes. it would be unsafe for the climber if there weren't ropes there...
@@nicholasjohnson9694 He asked how the ropes got there. Not why they are here.
Same way the steel cables on top got there.
Its a cable system just untie the rope and ur ready.they install it during construction.sometimes u got to install ur own safety rope

That thing needs a muffler.
What happens if you run out of gas at the top? Can you still use it to get down safely?
There’s probably a safety option to still be able to go down I’m sure of it. I can’t imagine it would pass any safety inspection if you got stuck 100ft in the air 😅
Just have to do it manually like you would without the machine.
