when i said my prayers the night he died i asked god 2 give aaron a warm welcome 2 heaven & 2 help nick get thru the rlly hard time without him. aaron was a huge damn part of my childhood. i had aarons party (come get it), oh aaron & another earthquake! when they all came out. i remember first hearing one better & saturday night on radio disney when i was 10. i was soooo excited he was back when i first heard dance with me in 2009. i listened 2 it all the time. i watched him on dancing with the stars too & voted 4 him. i loved fools gold when it came out & listened 2 it a lot. hell i just did last night. i remember one of my classmates in high school saying they were gonna see him. r.i.p. aaron :( i grew up with u & i’ll never 4get u :(

Yes!! Also with struggling addiction staying sober himself, I am sure AJ had a lot of thoughts. So glad Nick has the boys cuz you can tell they were there for anything he needed. It’s not easy loosing someone through addiction esp when they didn’t want help. I’m so happy Nick turned out amazing especially with his own family.
He seems like the sweetest and most humble one of the group. I’m sure the other guys are nice too but Aj…….is the type of person who can naturally go up to anyone and interact and befriend! How many people are like that? Not that many❤️. As a preteen, Nick was always my fave, but as a adult, Aj has really grown on me. Although I still have love for the other 4 lol.
All these men watched Aaron grow up and clearly AJ was starting to get emotional and turned and looked at Nick and saw the tears in his eyes and went right over to hug him. This shows how much they truly care about each other they aren’t just a boy and they’re family.
I lost my older brother suddenly and completely unexpectedly to suicide this last February. I can tell you, it took a LOT for Nick to even stand up on that stage and show his face. You just shut down.
Can we take a second to realize how strong he was to still be up on stage..I lost my little sister last year and no matter famous or not weather you LIKE bsb or Aaron or NOT. they are still human and you know he's got a lot going on. BSB concerts his own career, Christmas songs coming out but now Christmas without his brother. Fans and then funerals. Like that's a lot on anyone and you know his even high-tension for Nick because of fans and magazines, interviews ECT. He's in the spot light. He don't get the privacy like we do it's just crazy. Thoughts and prayers with him. I couldn't imagine.

Not true at all... People reschedule shows/appearance's all the time for family emergency.. his brother is dead !! Could have easily redone the show later. They just don't care .... The kid exposed them every chance he got, they're probably glad he's dead.

Growing up on both BSB and AC, it feels almost like losing a distant cousin you haven’t heard from in awhile for me. I know I didn’t know him, but I had this connection through his music, as I’m sure a lot of us did. But no pain compares to Nick’s. He had to be a parent to Aaron at times and tried his best to help him when he lost his way. To Nick: you are not at fault. You did not fail him. You did all you could. He was so lucky to have a brother like you.

Emotions are high, and it’s good Nick let it out, and the other members showed support for him and did their best to hold the tears back, because there’s no reason to try and act tough, let it all out, it’s the only real way to heal and show we are all human. We love, hurt, and struggle to accept loss. But when we let go of it all, we can start to heal and understand that we cherish every moment we had with loved ones we lost, and should make every moment matter with those who are still with us. True, there are no words to describe. Personally for me I try to seek out support groups, keep busy in a job a like force my mind to tell myself to go workout even if i dont want to. I try to convince myself things are fine, even if they feel theyre not and that seems to work. In the end, there is no medication in the world that get someone through a crisis like this, its been tried before. Otherwise they wouldnt be supporting each other like this.

I’ve loved the bsb since I was a kid. After finding out Aaron was nick’s younger brother I started listening to him. I know he struggled throughout the years but damn aaron you were only 34 and younger than me. Addiction and mental illness is extremely hard to overcome trust me I was there almost 20 years ago regarding the addiction demons. I also suffered from a mental illness since I was 12 and listening to the Backstreet Boys and Aaron got me through the dark times. My heart goes out to everyone effected by your death

I’m not even a backstreet fan, but they were part of the background music of my childhood along with so many other fantastic pop stars. I was more of an Aaron fan personally as a kid, and his death shook me. My heart breaks for Nick. As an older sibling myself I can’t begin to imagine what he’s going through. And my heart goes out to the surviving Carter siblings.
I agree. I give Nick a lot of credit. He clearly went through a tough time dealing with his brother’s death. Most siblings are going to fight and have fall outs. But all we want at the end of the day is to settle our differences and have a good relationship with them. I’m sure Nick had hopes for that but it sadly didn’t happen….OR it happened too late. Despite all these feelings, he still managed to make it to that concert to make his fans happy. I won’t even get started on how the rest of the boys, especially Aj rushed over to hug him when he needed it the most.

Brian was Nick's guardian and it's visible how he was affected when they acknowledged Aaron's passing. He wanted to wrap Nick up in a hug. And after AJ and Howie had done just that you can tell that Nick just wanted Brian's embrace. He tried to find it even after all was said and done. Brian was the big brother/guardian that Nick never had.
Such a beautiful tribute and a lovely gesture for the boys to do poor nick losing his brother aaron at such a young age of just 34 condolences to all his family and friends losing a family member is an awful thing to have to go trough i lost my father when i was 16 and my mother is 62 and has been battling Alzheimer's for 8 years now it really hits you hard the first few month's are very hard even though im 28 now grief is something that never goes away you just try to get on with it and deal with live as best you can because thats what they would have wanted if they were still here
That warmed my heart so much. You can tell Nick was fighting back tears and the boys hugging him is their way of saying, “It’s ok just let it out don’t be embarrassed”.
I think it's sad that I don't think Aaron realized how much all his fans loved him and maybe they didn't realize it until he passed. Seems like he had a tragic life.

Nick probably said and felt he needed to do the show. I hope he takes time cuz no matter the complication of a relationship, it still hurts if not more. He lost two siblings through addictions. I happened to see on Instagram that AJ canceled his meet and greet for his Ava beauty line because of this.

For some people it can be an escape and a distraction from what is happening at home. Either way it isn’t any one else’s right to tell him what he should or should not be doing right now. Crying and having a support system is the only way to heal from something like this, it's good that he let it out.
As rough as Nick was on Aaron, he only wanted what was best for him. Nick was put into a parental role he never asked for and did his best.

I’ve loved the bsb since I was a kid. After finding out Aaron was nick’s younger brother I started listening to him. I know he struggled throughout the years but damn aaron you were only 34 and younger than me. Addiction and mental illness is extremely hard to overcome trust me I was there almost 20 years ago regarding the addiction demons. I also suffered from a mental illness since I was 12 and listening to the Backstreet Boys and Aaron got me through the dark times. My heart goes out to everyone effected by your death

I agree. I give Nick a lot of credit. He clearly went through a tough time dealing with his brother’s death. Most siblings are going to fight and have fall outs. But all we want at the end of the day is to settle our differences and have a good relationship with them. I’m sure Nick had hopes for that but it sadly didn’t happen….OR it happened too late. Despite all these feelings, he still managed to make it to that concert to make his fans happy. I won’t even get started on how the rest of the boys, especially Aj rushed over to hug him when he needed it the most.

Brian was Nick's guardian and it's visible how he was affected when they acknowledged Aaron's passing. He wanted to wrap Nick up in a hug. And after AJ and Howie had done just that you can tell that Nick just wanted Brian's embrace. He tried to find it even after all was said and done. Brian was the big brother/guardian that Nick never had.
It did look like Brian was whispering something to Nick. Like words Of reassurance or something like that.
So sad .... hard losing a little brother ,even harder this way. Lost mine the same way

Such a beautiful tribute and a lovely gesture for the boys to do poor nick losing his brother aaron at such a young age of just 34 condolences to all his family and friends losing a family member is an awful thing to have to go trough i lost my father when i was 16 and my mother is 62 and has been battling Alzheimer's for 8 years now it really hits you hard the first few month's are very hard even though im 28 now grief is something that never goes away you just try to get on with it and deal with live as best you can because thats what they would have wanted if they were still here

For some people it can be an escape and a distraction from what is happening at home. Either way it isn’t any one else’s right to tell him what he should or should not be doing right now. Aaron is gone and there is nothing he can do for him now
